Great
GGuest UserI booked 3 nights, mainly because I saw a photo of a swimming pool on Trip.com. However, when I arrived, the staff told me there is no pool at all, and that the image shown online was not part of their hotel. This was very disappointing. When I went to report this, I saw that the photo had already been removed from the listing, which made it harder to prove. Regarding the deposit, I paid in cash at check-in. To be fair, I forgot to ask about it during check-out. After I returned home, I emailed the hotel, and they replied saying the refund would be processed via bank transfer. However, at the time of writing this review, I still haven't received the money.
Additionally, I had booked a twin room, but I was informed that children were not permitted in that room type. I admit it was written in the booking, but it wasn't obvious. The hotel charged us an additional €49 per night to upgrade to a triple room. However, on the first night, we still had to sleep in the original twin room, even though we had already paid for the triple. We only moved to the triple room on the second and third nights. The invoice was only sent on the second day, which made it confusing – I initially thought I wouldn’t be charged the first night. Ultimately, I contacted Trip.com's customer service, and they were helpful, offering partial compensation. I appreciate their support, but I believe future guests should be aware of these issues.
GGuest UserFirst off, it's located in an alley. While the alley is cleaned every morning, it still tends to be a bit messy and dirty. One day, right after leaving the hotel, I even heard foreigners getting robbed right outside.
The hotel's hygiene is pretty subpar. The room reminded me of a 200-300 RMB hotel in China, so paying over 2000 for a night felt completely not worth it.
Plus, the soundproofing is terrible; you can hear conversations from the next room.
The room window opens directly onto a residential building, so when you open it, you see people's laundry hanging, and you can practically see into their homes. If someone in the building is cooking, the cooking fumes waft straight into your room, making the whole place stuffy.
The room had a noticeable amount of dust and a musty smell.
I booked it in advance without knowing the situation and stayed for a few days, but every day I just wanted to check out and move somewhere else.
Its only advantage might be its convenient location and good transport links in Barcelona, but that also implies it's not a very safe area.
All in all, for this price, you could easily book a much better 4-star hotel or higher!

Great
KKate SmStayed here for a weekend in February. It is right in the heart of the gothic quarter, with quirky shops all around. I hadn’t realised when booking but there is a punk, Scottish and Cuban feel to the place (which is random) and related to the history of the owner. The room had high ceilings and dark decor (as did the rest of the hotel- not to everyone’s liking) which gave the room a lovely sense of space. The beds were comfy and especially the pillows were good on the neck. We had a balcony but it is very small, but looking around so are all the others in the gothic quarter but it is enough to stand on and get some air. The hotel is small, without much of a lobby entrance, initially a bit of a hostel feel. On level 1 there was an espresso machine with coffee pods, a kettle and the choice of loose teas (black, roibus and fruit) and a water fountain where you can fill up your water bottle - which we found great. We opted not to pay for the 15 euro breakfast as there are little coffee shops all around and a little cheaper. There is a v nice restaurant attached to the hotel but we didn’t go there. There is a metro nearby (100m), and even if you catch different metros underground, if you don’t come out of the station, it still counts as a single journey. It was perfect for our weekend, although knowing how central it is I’m not sure I would go in peak season for the noise - although we slept fine our room faced the Main Street.
GGuest UserIn general everything was OK.
The Hotel was in a very good location.
The reception personnel was always helpful and kindly.
The rooms were cleaned every day.
Small cons but beneficiary for the hotel to improve:
- The elevator door didn't had the security sensor,
- The corridors had some kind of smell, maybe from some kind of detergent used,
- The bathrooms were very tight. The water from the shower find the way out from the cabin, through the door and on the laminate. The bottom of the door and the laminate is damaged underway.

AAng_ieA Week in Barcelona — Staying at Hotel Serhs Del Port (Early February)
Spending a week in Barcelona in early February felt relaxed and unhurried, and staying at Hotel Serhs Del Port played a big part in that. Overall, it was a comfortable base with a few details that really stood out—both good and not so good.
I was very lucky with my room placement. My room faced the patio, which meant it stayed wonderfully quiet. The window didn’t look out onto the main street or neighboring buildings, and that made a big difference—especially at night. After long days out in the city, coming back to that calm felt like a small luxury.
The breakfast was another highlight. The selection was good and varied, with both cold and warm dishes, pastries, and a fresh orange juice extractor that felt especially fitting for Spain. It was easy to start the day well-fed without needing to think too much about it.
I also really appreciated the coworking space. It was pleasant and functional, and I found myself using it often. Having a comfortable place to sit and work without retreating to the room made the stay feel more balanced and productive.
The staff, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, were consistently friendly and helpful. Interactions felt natural and unforced, which always makes a hotel feel more welcoming.
Location-wise, the hotel was very convenient. La Rambla was only about a 4–5 minute walk away, close enough to be easily accessible but far enough to avoid the constant noise. The surrounding area was lively in a good way, filled with restaurants, bars, and supermarkets, making daily life simple and flexible.
That said, there was one downside that was hard to ignore: the walls were thin. I could clearly hear the snoring/ coughing of the gentleman in the neighboring room, which definitely broke the illusion of privacy on some nights.
All in all, Hotel Serhs Del Port offered a comfortable, well-located stay with thoughtful touches and friendly service. A quieter room placement made a big difference—but thinner walls are something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper.
NNorizoooThis hotel is in a very convenient location. Take the Aerobus from the airport to Plaza Catalunya, and it's right next to the subway station, making it easy to get to major tourist attractions. It's also close to Carrefour and the market, so there's no shortage of restaurants. The breakfast was European-style but satisfying, and the 24-hour buffet was a bonus. I like to drink a lot while traveling, so it was great to have beer and wine available with snacks. The room was standard-plus, which is appropriate for the price, but it was clean and the shower had good water pressure. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time. Thank you.
KKam Fat MickyExcellent location with all kinds of public transportation including metro, buses to airport and major points of interest in Barcelona. You may explore some good restaurants nearby.
TtaeliThe room equip everything you need, but it's a bit small. The location is very good, can walk 15 minutes to the beach and 30 minutes to the main spots
LLung0913The hotel has a great location, just a 5-6 minute walk from the subway station and very close to the Sagrada Familia, a 10-12 minute walk away! The hotel is also very clean. The only drawback is that the soundproofing isn't very good; the door next door closes very loudly!
GGuest UserHotel Alba to bardzo dobre miejsce na pobyt. Miła i pomocna obsługa, codziennie sprzątane pokoje, wszystko czyste i zadbane. Lokalizacja świetna – wszędzie blisko, co bardzo ułatwia zwiedzanie i poruszanie się. Zdecydowanie wróciłabym tu drugi raz i polecam ten hotel innym.
