4-Star Hotels in Lanzhou

Some people in the stuff speak english. The name of the hotel is Madison Hotel, not the one that trip says (but the photos on Trip show it). It's a 20min walk from the train station but that's because next to the train station there's nothing. In front of the hotel there's a bus stop for many bus lines. Unfortunately lanzhou (at the time of my review) only has 2 subway lines and it's easier to move by bus even though the traffic in the city is maddening. The hotel is extremly luxurious and there are also washing machines and dryers. This is the birthplace of Jiafei make sure to visit all the places she has been to during your stay.

We stayed here for one night for its proximity to the train station as we had an early departure to Dunhuang. The hotel seems newly renovated, the family room we had was spacious and the toiletries provided were of good quality. Great mattress and pillows so we all had a good sleep.

Checked into your hotel yesterday, and I must say the service was excellent. The location is super convenient, right next to a RT-Mart, and there's even a Luckin Coffee in the lobby on the first floor, which is a nice touch. The room was comfortable and clean, and I loved the large floor-to-ceiling windows. Overall, a very pleasant stay! [smiley face emoji] And a big shoutout to the customer service for their outstanding and thoughtful service.

The hotel has an excellent location. It is close to the subway station and also near the night market. Zhongshan Bridge and the Yellow River are both within easy walking distance. The facilities are completely new, and everything from the bed and bedding to all amenities was in excellent condition. The gym was also very good, and the overall quality of the hotel was impressive, including complimentary food and other services. However, the only downside is that the staff do not speak any English at all. Despite being a fairly large hotel, they couldn’t understand even the most basic English words. Except for that issue, overall it is a very good hotel.

After visiting Bingling Temple, we drove straight to a hotel near Zhongchuan Airport, as the airport is really far from the city. Luckily, we could still order some Lanzhou delicacies via food delivery. The room was booked using Trip.com points, and the soundproofing was excellent. I couldn't hear any airplane or road noise at all, which allowed me to get a solid two and a half hours of deep sleep. The service was quite friendly, but I requested a room upgrade through Trip.com and it doesn't seem like I received one. Breakfast was decent. There weren't many hot dishes or protein options, but the beef noodles were really flavorful, especially the chili oil in them.

Facilities: There is a gym, very modern, with a humidifier, air conditioning, and the lights will turn on at night to remind you, which is a benefit for people who are afraid of the dark. Sanitation: very clean Environment: good, wooden floor, wooden fence Service: very good, the waiter will escort you to the elevator

I absolutely loved the design of this hotel; I couldn't resist taking photos as soon as I walked in. The lobby cafe is incredibly photogenic and a must-visit spot. The hotel also thoughtfully provided a Lanzhou Citywalk guide, which was very helpful. Its location is superb – just across the street from Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street, only 200 meters from Xiguan Metro Station, about 500 meters walk to Zhongshan Bridge, and less than 1 kilometer to大众巷 Night Market and food street. The Reader Museum is also just 3 kilometers away, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. For breakfast, there were about 4 hot dishes and 4 cold dishes, along with four or five fried items (youtiao, popcorn chicken, bacon, etc.). There were also salads, fruits, and the beef noodles tasted great. What particularly stood out were the freshly ground soy milk and the eggs with milk and fermented glutinous rice – they were very authentic. My only minor gripe is that there aren't enough seats, so it can get crowded during peak hours. I was pleasantly surprised to find Peet's coffee capsules and a coffee machine in the room – a great touch that really added to the experience. The hairdryer, however, was a bit old and could use an upgrade. Overall, my stay was very satisfying, and I hope the minor issues can be improved upon in the future. If I visit Lanzhou again, I'll definitely rebook and wholeheartedly recommend it to my friends. 👍

This hotel offers great value for money, especially considering its proximity to Lanzhou West Railway Station. It's only a few hundred meters walk from the high-speed rail station and even provides a shuttle service. The area around the hotel is very convenient for dining and shopping. The rooms are spacious, bright, well-laid out, and fully equipped, not to mention clean and tidy. I choose this hotel every time I visit Lanzhou.

The hotel was very affordable, and the room was great. It was also very clean, and everything was neatly arranged. The toiletries were in small bottles, which was a nice touch. The location is excellent – super easy to find, right next to a pedestrian street, and directly across from a subway station. Definitely recommend!

This is an excellent hotel. It is located right on the Northwest Normal University Campus. It is easy to walk to any part of campus from the hotel. The hotel is also close to 金牛街 (Golden Cow Street), which has lots of shops and restaurants, and the Yellow River, which has nice walking and biking paths. The hotel is also just a 30min bus ride to parts of downtown Lanzhou using the BRT bus. The staff are very kind and helpful. The hotel room is comfortable, with good views from the window and soft beds. Each day the hotel provides 2 bottles of water and slippers to wear in the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The breakfast area is also nice if you pay for it. They have local beef noodles, which are delicious!
