Lanzhou Hotels with Gym

For this trip to the Northwest, we stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at both the beginning and end. We stayed in two different rooms for a total of three nights, and it was very comfortable. Returning the car was also convenient. The hotel even upgraded our room type and provided free breakfast for our child. The hotel's beef noodles were delicious, and the freshly squeezed juice was very refreshing.

I had an early morning flight, so I opted to stay at the Parc Culture Hotel, which opened in 2025 at Lanzhou Airport, the night before. This hotel is one of the more luxurious options in the area, with very new and complete facilities in spacious rooms. The service was very attentive; they offered a special welcome drink upon check-in. The airport transfer service was excellent; they proactively called to confirm my itinerary in advance, and the driver enthusiastically helped with my luggage. The ride was about 5 minutes. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and in addition to standard fare, I could enjoy authentic Lanzhou specialties like beef noodles and grey beans. This hotel offers great value for money and is perfect for guests with early morning flights or late-night arrivals.

The room was nice, and the location was good. It's about a ten-minute walk to the Provincial Museum, and very convenient to take a taxi to the city center. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. However, the night light didn't have a switch; it stayed on constantly once the key card was inserted, which wastes electricity and affects sleep (the night light under the sink pointed directly at the head of the bed). Several Mercure hotels I've stayed at have this same design. I'd suggest adding a switch for the night light.

My recent stay at this hotel truly showed me what exceptionally thoughtful service looks like. I had an early high-speed train to catch, and on that morning, it was drizzling, a bit chilly, and the roads were slick. Worried about missing my train, I packed in a hurry, feeling flustered and anxious. On my way to the high-speed train station after checking out, as I was organizing my belongings, I suddenly realized I had left my most important ID card in the hotel room. I panicked instantly, feeling both anxious and regretful. An ID card is essential for travel; without it, I couldn't board the train, and my entire itinerary would be ruined. With the train departure time fast approaching, I had no time to go back to the hotel myself. I was at a complete loss and incredibly stressed. In my慌乱, I immediately called the hotel's front desk. The person who answered was Xiaowang, a front desk staff member. Over the phone, my words were rushed and incoherent, conveying my panic about leaving my ID and the urgency of catching my train. Xiaowang listened patiently and gently throughout, showing no hint of impatience. He calmly reassured me, telling me not to panic and to relax, promising to immediately help me search for it. After hanging up, Xiaowang went to my room right away to search, carefully checking every corner. Because I had packed in a rush, the ID card was in a rather concealed spot, making it difficult to find. However, Xiaowang didn't cut corners; he meticulously searched and checked everywhere, and finally, he successfully found my ID card. After finding the ID, knowing my train was leaving soon and I wouldn't have time to go back and forth, Xiaowang thoughtfully and proactively suggested that he could arrange a delivery service to send the ID urgently to the high-speed train station, ensuring I wouldn't miss my trip. This kind of service isn't a mandatory offering from the hotel; it was entirely Xiaowang's sense of responsibility and empathy that drove him to help a guest in need. On a rainy morning, with a considerable number of guests checking in and out, he still took time out of his duties to carefully verify my identity, confirm the station's location, quickly contact a reliable delivery person, and thoroughly explain the delivery requirements. He handled the entire process efficiently. Throughout, Xiaowang kept me updated on the search progress and the delivery status, allowing me to stay informed while en route, slowly easing my anxiety. The poor road conditions due to the rain added complications to the delivery, but he was dedicated and responsible every step of the way, without a single complaint, remaining gentle and patient. His extreme sense of responsibility made me feel incredibly secure. Ultimately, thanks to Xiaowang's excellent arrangements, my ID card arrived at the high-speed train station ahead of time, allowing me to check in and board without any delays. He truly solved my immediate crisis. For travelers, unexpected incidents are the most dreaded. Xiaowang, with his sincerity, attentiveness, and exceptional service, resolved my mistake and embarrassment. He made me, a solo traveler in an unfamiliar city on a chilly, rainy day, feel a profound sense of kindness and warmth. His attitude reflects true dedication, and his detailed service shows great commitment. Xiaowang not only possesses excellent professional skills and efficiency but also a rare kindness and genuine desire to help guests, proactively offering thoughtful solutions. He perfectly embodies the warmth of this hotel's service, which goes beyond standard procedures to offer service that is personal and heartfelt. I am incredibly grateful for Xiaowang's tremendous help. This unexpected hiccup actually made me love this hotel even more! I sincerely recommend everyone to choose this hotel; the professional and warm staff and thoughtful service are absolutely trustworthy! The next time I visit this city, I will undoubtedly choose this hotel again, and I wish the kind and responsible Xiaowang all the best in his work.

An absolute favorite hotel! Managed to capture a photo of the starry sky chandelier in the lobby on the first floor. The hotel environment is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. You can see the cityscape of Lanzhou right from the room. The hotel restaurant is amazing with a very hearty breakfast, and the service is exceptionally attentive. Will definitely stay here again next time!

Five-star rating for this hotel! ✨ First, I have to praise the front desk staff – they were so friendly and polite during check-in, handled everything quickly, and even gave us some thoughtful tips for our stay. The room was spotless, the bedding was comfortable, and the entire room was clean and quiet. The location is also excellent, making it easy to get around. Overall, my stay was fantastic and very comfortable. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town and highly recommend it to everyone!

For my trip to Lanzhou this time, I chose the Yunhe Yebo Hotel, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Zhang Shifu, who picked us up, was incredibly genuine. He proactively called us before departure to confirm the time and location. Even though our train was delayed, he waited patiently without any催促 (urging). Meeting such a person while traveling really put my mind at ease. The check-in process at the hotel was quick and efficient. The front desk staff were all very friendly and patient when we asked for recommendations for authentic local restaurants. They even gave us a free room upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was spotless and had all the necessary facilities, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was also quite a surprise. There was a good variety of food, and the highlight was the freshly pulled beef noodles, authentic Lanzhou style. Eating a bowl in the morning was incredibly satisfying. The location is also convenient, not far from Lanzhou West Station, Gansu Provincial Museum, and Zhongshan Bridge, making it very easy to get around and explore. Downstairs, there are supermarkets and various restaurants nearby, so you don't have to go far for shopping or dining. Next time I visit Lanzhou, I will definitely prioritize staying here again.

This review is based on a comparison with hotels of the same star rating in China. 1. **Poor Room Experience** * The bathroom light switch isn't inside the bathroom, but rather by the entrance to the room (we booked a suite, which is quite large). It's a long way from the bathroom, hard to find, and very inconvenient to use. * Upon entering the room, there's a 90-degree corner filled with numerous cabinets that take up a lot of space but are completely useless. * When I turned on the faucet for the bathtub, the showerhead also sprayed water, getting me all wet. It's a very strange design. * The refrigerator wasn't cold; it didn't provide any refrigeration. 2. **Subpar Service Experience** * I tried calling the service desk and front desk multiple times using the landline after 10 PM, but no one answered. * When I asked about the TV's functions, the staff member said they didn't know (and didn't offer to help figure it out). Their service awareness is quite poor. 3. **Inconvenient Taxi Access** * Taxis cannot drop you off directly at the hotel entrance because only internal vehicles are allowed into the hotel's parking lot. Taxis have to drop you off 200 meters away on the roadside, and you have to walk the rest of the way, which is very inconvenient. 4. **Buffet Quality Doesn't Justify the Price**

我們入住時，淋浴區域的地面就已經有裂痕了，具體可以參考照片。房間宣傳的是湖景房，但實際看到的主要是法式落地窗，窗外基本衹能看到建築之間的縫隙，和預期的湖景有一定差距。 比較滿意的是，房間整體比較乾淨，而且水壓很足。 我們預訂了兩間價格相差不大的房間，但浴袍衹有其中一間提供了，另一間沒有。另外，另一間房內放置洗浴用品的置物架也是壞的，衹能把洗浴用品放在地上，使用起來很不方便。 淋浴花灑也是歪的，無法保持在比較合適的位置。不確定這是酒店有意這樣設定，還是因為酒店的規定或設施本身的問題。 另外，因為個人原因，我們向酒店申請了一條額外的毛毯，但酒店方面也無法提供。 The floor in the shower area was already cracked when we checked in, as shown in the photos. The room was advertised as having a lake view, but in reality, the view was mainly of a French window overlooking the gaps between buildings. On the positive side, the water pressure was strong and the room was clean. We booked two rooms at fairly similar prices, but bathrobes were provided in only one of the rooms. In the other room, the shelf where the toiletries were supposed to be placed was also broken, so we had to put the toiletries on the floor, which was quite inconvenient to use. The showerhead was also tilted and did not stay in an ideal position. I’m not sure whether this was intentional or due to the hotel’s regulations or setup. We also requested an extra blanket for personal reasons, but unfortunately, the hotel was unable to provide one.

Great location, right near the high-speed railway station. Parking is very convenient, and there is also an underground parking garage. The room is fully equipped, and all the staff are warm and enthusiastic, proactively asking about our needs. Also, when I left something behind upon check-out, they proactively called me and subsequently mailed it back. A wonderful experience.
