Guest UserAs a girl who loves to travel, I've stayed in countless guesthouses. There are so many beautiful ones these days, and while most 'influencer-style' places look great, the quality of their furnishings often doesn't stand up to scrutiny. However, this guesthouse in Wuyuan gave me a completely different feeling from the moment I walked in.
Pushing open the heavy wooden door, the first thing I saw was a new Chinese-style courtyard with blue brick paths and dewy green plants. It truly brought to mind the line, 'A winding path leads to a secluded spot, a Chan monastery deep amidst flowers and trees.'
The guesthouse's first floor houses a very atmospheric tea house (guests get free tea upon check-in). There are many small, differently styled photo booths that are perfect for snapping Instagram-worthy pictures (too bad no one was there to take photos for me this time!). Sunlight streamed in through the window, creating a serene scene with the courtyard and tea, and the sparse shadows by the window. Accompanied by a faint woody fragrance, the aesthetic beauty of Song dynasty culture was fully on display.
Stepping into the room, my immediate impression was that it was spacious but not empty. Every detail was meticulously designed, and it was incredibly clean (a reliable seal of approval from a germaphobe!). Even better, the mattress was super comfortable, and the soundproofing was absolutely top-notch! After checking in, the staff brought fresh fruit and hot tea. Enjoying the view and sipping tea by the window was incredibly pleasant.
I must highlight the guesthouse's service. Both the owner and the front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and basically fulfilled every request guests had! I casually mentioned wanting watermelon, and a staff member brought a large plate of it (I heard the owner actually went out to buy it fresh, haha). My travel companion wasn't feeling well and skipped dinner, so the owner personally cooked noodles for them that evening. The attention to service details was truly exceptional; it felt so comforting and natural, just like being at home, adding immense emotional value to this trip.
P.S. The owner's tea is also delicious. While I'm not a tea connoisseur, I could tell it was smooth and lacked any bitterness. I couldn't resist buying a box to take home for my family to try (I swear this isn't an ad!!! I promise!!!)

i would give this stay 11/10 if i could! our hosts were beyond lovely, hospitable, and generous. they upgraded our room for free as we visited during off-peak season, and offered many local recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. they were always contactable and happy to assist us when we needed help with hiring a driver and amenities.
our room was gorgeous and had everything we needed, the shower’s water pressure was fantastic, and we adored our balcony and the carefully tended garden. we even saw a bird nest and cute birds on our second day!
their home-cooked breakfast is comforting and hearty, featuring many local delicacies. on the last day, our host even cooked us her signature mini wantons!!
thank you Huiyuge for our perfect stay in Wuyuan! we will certainly be back to visit during flower season in spring :)

Guest UserHidden away from the city's hustle and bustle lies a quaint and elegant courtyard. A winding bridge gracefully reflects in the water, where a few fish playfully dart through the ripples, creating a delightfully lively scene. The tea room's furnishings are exquisitely intricate and tastefully refined, showcasing meticulous attention to detail at every turn. The proprietress extends wonderfully gentle and warm hospitality, making guests feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. Breakfast, served fresh each morning, is presented with impeccable cleanliness, offering a truly reassuring and pleasant dining experience.

We took advantage of Hangzhou's spring break for an off-peak trip to Wuyuan before the May Day holiday. The prices were very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. It was our first time in Wuyuan, and the guesthouse we picked had a wonderful natural environment with fresh air. We stayed for several days, and the owner was incredibly warm and helpful, plus the place was very clean. There's a lake nearby where we even enjoyed a bamboo raft ride. The kids absolutely loved it!

HuiyuCHI specifically came to Huangling and compared several guesthouses before choosing this one. My experience far exceeded expectations, truly the best accommodation in Huangling!
The owner's service was incredibly thoughtful. They provided private car transfers for all our comings and goings to and from the scenic area, handled our luggage, and clearly explained the sightseeing routes. They were gentle and attentive, with every detail taken care of. The room's panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct views of the entire valley and terraced fields. Opening the window revealed a picturesque mountain and wilderness scene, perfect for photos. The most pleasant surprise was that despite the mountains being humid year-round, this guesthouse was completely dry with no musty smell and was spotlessly clean. The comfort level was comparable to a high-end five-star hotel.
You absolutely must try the restaurant on the first floor! They use seasonal local farm-fresh vegetables, with ingredients picked directly from the mountain. The flavors are light and moderate, not spicy, and deliciously fresh. Even those who can't handle strong flavors can order with confidence, enjoying the authentic taste of the mountains.
If you're traveling to Wuyuan Huangling, just book this place without hesitation. The accommodation, dining, and service are all top-notch with no shortcomings. I'll definitely choose it again next time!

Guest UserIt was really great as recommended by a friend. After we arrived, the housekeeper picked us up to help with the luggage. When we entered the yard, we saw a beautiful Samoyed named Yuanxiao coming to ”greet” us. The room was very large, the bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, with double wash basins, a bathtub, a separate tea room, a 2m*2m big bed with a very comfortable mattress, and the overall intelligence was sufficient. It looked like an old house, but the facilities in the house were very new ~ The breakfast was great, there was a tea room by the river where you could read books and drink tea, and a swimming pool was being built.

Absolutely recommend Mingxun Tang -- the hotel is nestled in the heart of Yan Cun, one of the smaller, delightful, history-rich and less touristy of the Wuyuan villages. The location is a very convenient point from which to do day trips around the scenic spots in Wuyuan. The hotel is in a beautifully reformed old house -- it has a lovely garden and keeps parts of the original structure, as well as some memorabilia from its previous iteration such as receipts from the late Qing Dynasty! The rooms are lovely and well-equipped with all amenities.
Finally, the service is wonderful -- it was the owners of the hotel that recommended our driver and guide for the trip! The hotel offers delicious home-cooked meals and although they don't have coffee they kindly helped us buy some from a nearby cafe and brought it to us.
Overall a wonderful stay!

Guest UserWe had a fantastic time and highly recommend this place for tourists (including foreign tourists). Nancy and the staff were so kind, helpful and friendly - they shared recommendations on where to visit. The food was absolutely delicious; we recommend ordering lunch and dinner there too. The room was lovely; the view from the balcony was stunning and very peaceful. We recommend hiring Master Yu as the driver; He drove us around the various villages (Wuyuan is his hometown, so he knows all the good places to visit). He is so thoughtful and took our picture many times! The afternoon tea was also very special. We had a wonderful trip!

Guest UserI came to Wunvzhou for a trip and booked a hotel inside the scenic area. It included two-day admission tickets for two people, as well as tickets to the water park and the children's fun museum, which was excellent value for money. Initially, I was worried that hotels within a scenic area might be noisy, but my concerns were alleviated after staying there. My room was assigned facing the street, but with the windows closed, the noise from outside was manageable. Most people were out watching performances anyway, so it wasn't a big issue. The performances in the scenic area lasted until past 10 PM. After a long walk around the area, it was great to be able to walk a few steps back to the hotel and rest immediately. In the mornings, the scenic area was quiet, so sleeping in wasn't a problem. The hotel provided two breakfast vouchers. It would be inconvenient if you didn't want to eat at the hotel or missed the breakfast time. Restaurants and convenience stores in the scenic area open quite late, usually after 10:30 AM, so be sure to pay attention to breakfast times.
Hotel shuttle service: If you drive, park in the underground parking lot, then check in at the visitor service center. Afterward, an electric shuttle will take you to the scenic area.
Wunvzhou Water Park: The hotel gave me one adult ticket to the water park. You can buy extra tickets to bring children along. However, sometimes the outdoor sections are closed, which significantly reduces the fun.

We came for a biking holiday. We stayed 4 nights. We left every morning on a different biking route. Lots of roads and villages.
We each had a guest room. I was disappointed that I had the smallest room but they thought I wanted to be on the same floor as my friends. They moved me to the 2nd floor and now I had the same HUGE place as my friends. In the sitting room, is an L-shaped couch. It pulls out as a bed. So I guess this room could fit up to 4 people. The shower is huge. There is plenty of space to wash our bikes. The sauna/hot air thing was great for drying our clothes too!
Had we been more people, we probably would have rented one of the bigger places and shared instead of getting our own guest rooms.
It's fairly quiet. Breakfast was served in a separate traditional building. Normal Chinese breakfast, but asked for the noodles with the fried eggs! The kitchen staff were very accommodating when we asked if we could have breakfast at 7 am. Also, we asked for a late check-out because we wanted to shower after our ride. They let each of us have our rooms till 4pm at no charge. It would be great if the stone tiles could be power washed as it was quite slippery when it rained.
I didn't have my driver's license but I needed to go pick up my friend and his broken bike. So I went back to ask the manager if he could drive our car 35 km to pick up my friend. He was happy to drive me!
The sign to the guest house was not installed but if you look for the castle-like building, you'll find it. It was tricky getting to the hotel because we arrived late and it was absolutely chucking down with rain.
This is a great, gorgeous place if you want peace and quiet. My room had a river view. Great for relaxation. Highly recommend this place.
