4-Star Hotels in Wuyuan

When traveling, I always prefer unique hotels and guesthouses, and this time in Wuyuan, it was a full five-star surprise! The facilities at this guesthouse are impeccable, and the service is incredibly thoughtful and warm. From the reassuring pickup service at the high-speed rail station, to the front desk lady's bright smile, and the owner's attentive care, every detail was just right. I felt completely at home throughout my stay – it was so therapeutic ❤️. If you like high quality, definitely choose this place!

i would give this stay 11/10 if i could! our hosts were beyond lovely, hospitable, and generous. they upgraded our room for free as we visited during off-peak season, and offered many local recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. they were always contactable and happy to assist us when we needed help with hiring a driver and amenities. our room was gorgeous and had everything we needed, the shower’s water pressure was fantastic, and we adored our balcony and the carefully tended garden. we even saw a bird nest and cute birds on our second day! their home-cooked breakfast is comforting and hearty, featuring many local delicacies. on the last day, our host even cooked us her signature mini wantons!! thank you Huiyuge for our perfect stay in Wuyuan! we will certainly be back to visit during flower season in spring :)

Hidden away from the city's hustle and bustle lies a quaint and elegant courtyard. A winding bridge gracefully reflects in the water, where a few fish playfully dart through the ripples, creating a delightfully lively scene. The tea room's furnishings are exquisitely intricate and tastefully refined, showcasing meticulous attention to detail at every turn. The proprietress extends wonderfully gentle and warm hospitality, making guests feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. Breakfast, served fresh each morning, is presented with impeccable cleanliness, offering a truly reassuring and pleasant dining experience.

We took advantage of Hangzhou's spring break for an off-peak trip to Wuyuan before the May Day holiday. The prices were very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. It was our first time in Wuyuan, and the guesthouse we picked had a wonderful natural environment with fresh air. We stayed for several days, and the owner was incredibly warm and helpful, plus the place was very clean. There's a lake nearby where we even enjoyed a bamboo raft ride. The kids absolutely loved it!

Pets are very friendly Public parking is free🅿️🆓 Cleaning fee for pets🧹 🈚️ This treasure homestay is hidden in the deep alleys of the village, and also between the mountains and rivers... Because it was raining, I was lucky enough to experience the simple version of ”Huolala” to check in🏨 It was really fun 🏨There are only 8⃣️ rooms. I booked a courtyard suite. The room is very large and has a small split level. The room is equipped with Boss speakers, hand-cranked coffee machines☕️, floor heating, electric curtains, automatic bathrooms, and full of modernity... The 2-meter bed is facing a whole wall of floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, and you can see the beautiful scenery of the courtyard. Drinking coffee, reading books, listening to music, and having a dog by your side is really comfortable ❤️ The hotel is very soundproof and private👍 Booked lunch at the homestay, which was made by a Sichuan chef. There is no menu, and the fixed per capita💰168¥ Matsutake chicken soup is delicious. I drank half a bowl by myself😘Matsutake shrimp paste is also delicious! The craftsmanship is good, I like it 💕 The weather has been bad these two days, so I plan to rest here. The laundry room is well equipped with supplies, so I wash all the dirty clothes before leaving🚗 (very pleasantly surprised: there is also a clothes drying rack in the room) The owner of the B&B has a Samoyed 🐶 very cute❤️

Absolutely recommend Mingxun Tang -- the hotel is nestled in the heart of Yan Cun, one of the smaller, delightful, history-rich and less touristy of the Wuyuan villages. The location is a very convenient point from which to do day trips around the scenic spots in Wuyuan. The hotel is in a beautifully reformed old house -- it has a lovely garden and keeps parts of the original structure, as well as some memorabilia from its previous iteration such as receipts from the late Qing Dynasty! The rooms are lovely and well-equipped with all amenities. Finally, the service is wonderful -- it was the owners of the hotel that recommended our driver and guide for the trip! The hotel offers delicious home-cooked meals and although they don't have coffee they kindly helped us buy some from a nearby cafe and brought it to us. Overall a wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this place for tourists (including foreign tourists). Nancy and the staff were so kind, helpful and friendly - they shared recommendations on where to visit. The food was absolutely delicious; we recommend ordering lunch and dinner there too. The room was lovely; the view from the balcony was stunning and very peaceful. We recommend hiring Master Yu as the driver; He drove us around the various villages (Wuyuan is his hometown, so he knows all the good places to visit). He is so thoughtful and took our picture many times! The afternoon tea was also very special. We had a wonderful trip!

The hotel's location is pretty good; you can see the lake and boats right from the room. It was just a shame it rained so heavily at night that there was water all outside the room door. I imagine the experience would have been even better on a clear day. The front desk staff, especially one young lady, provided excellent service and even gave us a complimentary fruit platter. The room's cleanliness was also quite good.

Everything about the Old Garden Inn rooms was great, but compared to other hotels, they don't help with luggage delivery to the rooms, so you have to carry it back and forth yourself. People with mobility issues should probably avoid the Old Garden Inn, as there are stairs everywhere. Staying on the first floor was very convenient, and the service was excellent. My travel companion had a fever and we ran out of the four bottles of water in the room. We contacted the front desk, and they promptly sent up four more. A special shout-out to the lovely ladies and gentlemen at the front desk – their service attitude was superb! Many of the performances in the scenic area were also very dedicated and enjoyable. Here are a few suggestions: 1. Put vending machines in each hotel. Going to the front desk from the Old Garden Inn and back is enough to break a sweat, and then to find out you can't buy anything because it's closed late at night is quite inconvenient. 2. It would be even better if there was a dedicated service to deliver luggage to the rooms. 3. Also, the washing machine being under maintenance caused inconvenience. I recommend checking beforehand if you plan to use it. 4. The self-service breakfast always felt a bit lacking. There was no bread, and the fruit selection was very simple, only cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and oranges. Basic fruits like watermelon and cantaloupe would be nice, especially since it's not just the Old Garden Inn guests eating there, but also those from Wanjuan. 5. The auction house in the scenic area could start earlier. 8 PM is too late, as many people leave early. 6. The Zhan Tianyou Theater performance ended very abruptly; we didn't even realize it was over. A curtain call for the actors would be great – they are all very dedicated. 7. The last fire pot performance was also very awkward. Inviting a calligrapher to perform calligraphy and then selling their work on the spot? It wasted our time for the fire pot, which was very annoying! Especially for people not interested in calligraphy, this felt like a disappointing attempt at profit. If you want to promote Chinese calligraphy, I suggest creating a separate show, perhaps at Wenchang Pavilion. I think more people willing to buy would be there. Don't try to sell dog meat under the guise of a lamb's head! 8. The square where the iron flower performance takes place is very close to the water and quite dangerous! I recommend installing railings. Also, the small bridge leading to see the fish lanterns needs some lighting; it's really dark and shaky, making it very easy to fall!

We came for a biking holiday. We stayed 4 nights. We left every morning on a different biking route. Lots of roads and villages. We each had a guest room. I was disappointed that I had the smallest room but they thought I wanted to be on the same floor as my friends. They moved me to the 2nd floor and now I had the same HUGE place as my friends. In the sitting room, is an L-shaped couch. It pulls out as a bed. So I guess this room could fit up to 4 people. The shower is huge. There is plenty of space to wash our bikes. The sauna/hot air thing was great for drying our clothes too! Had we been more people, we probably would have rented one of the bigger places and shared instead of getting our own guest rooms. It's fairly quiet. Breakfast was served in a separate traditional building. Normal Chinese breakfast, but asked for the noodles with the fried eggs! The kitchen staff were very accommodating when we asked if we could have breakfast at 7 am. Also, we asked for a late check-out because we wanted to shower after our ride. They let each of us have our rooms till 4pm at no charge. It would be great if the stone tiles could be power washed as it was quite slippery when it rained. I didn't have my driver's license but I needed to go pick up my friend and his broken bike. So I went back to ask the manager if he could drive our car 35 km to pick up my friend. He was happy to drive me! The sign to the guest house was not installed but if you look for the castle-like building, you'll find it. It was tricky getting to the hotel because we arrived late and it was absolutely chucking down with rain. This is a great, gorgeous place if you want peace and quiet. My room had a river view. Great for relaxation. Highly recommend this place.
