GGuest UserThe Huazhu Wuyuan Yueyuan Wufei B&B is amazing! 👍 The renovation of the old house was meticulously done. A professional designer designed the courtyard, preserving its ancient charm while maintaining elegance and comfort. The rooms are cozy and inviting, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The meals are authentic Wuyuan cuisine, and the proprietress's cooking is exceptional, making the specialties incredibly delicious. Breakfast and lunch offer a complete selection of Wuyuan specialties (pocket carp, steamed pork with rice flour, steamed fish with rice flour, Qingming fruit, etc.). The dishes are made with all-natural ingredients, including cucumber, cowpea, green pepper, and river chicken. The whole family devours every meal!
You can also cycle along the rippling river, amidst the gently swaying blossoms. In the courtyard, you can play pot-to-pot together, creating a truly immersive experience.
The attentive service makes it feel like home! 🥰
The proprietress and her family run the B&B as if it were their own home. Every corner of the old house holds history, every visitor has a story, and every dish the proprietress prepares is filled with warmth.
It is better to come here by yourself after seeing and hearing it. Feel the inheritance of this history and the love for life.

QQiutianlidemaiziThis is the most comfortable guesthouse I've ever stayed at in Wuyuan! The architecture is unique, and the interior design is beautiful. The common areas are well-equipped and extensive, featuring an outdoor hot spring, a scenic pool, outdoor BBQ, and camping facilities. There's also a huge lawn and an indoor kids' play area. My favorite part is the large private terrace in the room, offering views of the mountains and fields outside. Breakfast is plentiful, and after eating, it's lovely to take photos and stroll through the fields. We even received a complimentary afternoon tea upon check-in. The owner also sets off fireworks in the evening. The rooms truly show great taste, with ample space, an independent tea room, and a bathtub. We specifically chose this guesthouse when bringing our child to Wunvzhou.

Excellent
CCaihongxinqing72We took advantage of Hangzhou's spring break for an off-peak trip to Wuyuan before the May Day holiday. The prices were very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. It was our first time in Wuyuan, and the guesthouse we picked had a wonderful natural environment with fresh air. We stayed for several days, and the owner was incredibly warm and helpful, plus the place was very clean. There's a lake nearby where we even enjoyed a bamboo raft ride. The kids absolutely loved it!
Kkissgirl9This is an excellent B&B housed in a traditional old building. Chatting with one of the staff, I learned that the owner rented this old building in the village over ten years ago, purely out of passion! He restored it, and it has grown into what it is today. There aren't many rooms, but they are all well-equipped and thoughtfully designed. Plus, there's a small beverage bar, and during the Spring Festival, there was a volunteer helping out (a young man as well). The next day, we had to leave very early to get to the scenic area, and they even prepared warm snacks for us to take on the road! So considerate! It really felt like home! They also took a group photo for our family, which was a lovely touch for the festive season!
Cleanliness: Felt great!
Facilities: All good, and the local folk customs were charming.
GGuest UserThis guesthouse is simply a tranquil oasis, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of city life! The room is tastefully decorated, combining elegance with a homey feel. The soft lighting cast over the plush bed, each ray perfectly creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, just like home! It truly evokes the charm of a riverside village scene.

GGuest UserMy first time in Wuyuan, and this was absolutely dream accommodation! I loved the Japanese-style tatami room, especially the little balcony. The coffee shop downstairs was also lovely, the coffee was great, and most importantly, there were several chubby little cats—so cute!!!

Outstanding
NNadineisinshanghaiWe stayed for 3 days in this lovely hotel, the lady running the place was really nice and helped us organising trips in the Wuyuan area. From the terrace you have a great view of the village and can take great photos. The rooms are spacious and offer everything you need.
The lobby/ breakfast area has a lot of charme, since all the furniture is from another era and so the place just feels very original and homey. Even though on 2 of 3 days we were the only guests, we got a full buffet of delicious Chinese food for breakfast, including a good coffee.
The organised trips with Mister Yu were such a pleasure, he showed us the best spots in the area and was a really good driver.
GGuest User1. **Location & Ambiance:** Nestled within the Wunvzhou scenic area, this standalone villa is right next to the Tea Saint Museum. It's tucked away amidst tea gardens and ancient trees, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in a bustling area. Guests have easy access to night views, the Golden Pavilion, traditional iron flower performances, and fireworks shows. The scenic shuttle bus conveniently drops you off directly at the villa entrance.
2. **Room Type & Atmosphere:** The hotel boasts a strong tea culture theme. Rooms are spacious, many featuring balconies or small courtyards, complete with tea sets and tatami mats. Bathrooms are designed with separate wet and dry areas, ensuring privacy. It's an ideal choice for families and couples on vacation.
3. **Service Reputation:** Most guests praise the front desk and butler service for being proactive and enthusiastic. They communicate check-in details in advance, inform guests about scenic area activities, and provide parking information. Lost items are promptly mailed back, and shuttle drivers are considerate. Guests often receive complimentary welcome fruits upon arrival.

Ssgadi16Being INSIDE the resort. This hotel has everything. I get the caishen island rooms which is really close to the main center of attractions. Just walk out of the room, walk few metres, and we are already at the poolside for the main attractions.
First photo is the photo I take on pavilion above the room.
Night vibe is really beautiful, you have to experience this place for yourself. Many people of course is really lively. Foods, no questions, there are many inside the facilities. Breakfast is complete and proper.
Everything is on point. Aside from a bit dusty floor and a sulky porter. Go to this resort and experience it.
Morning vibes is really quiet, plus the sun is shining. The weather is like when you are at tropic country. Which whereI came from. So many souvenirs and shops to explore. Instagrammable spots.

GGuest UserEverything about the Old Garden Inn rooms was great, but compared to other hotels, they don't help with luggage delivery to the rooms, so you have to carry it back and forth yourself. People with mobility issues should probably avoid the Old Garden Inn, as there are stairs everywhere.
Staying on the first floor was very convenient, and the service was excellent. My travel companion had a fever and we ran out of the four bottles of water in the room. We contacted the front desk, and they promptly sent up four more. A special shout-out to the lovely ladies and gentlemen at the front desk – their service attitude was superb!
Many of the performances in the scenic area were also very dedicated and enjoyable.
Here are a few suggestions:
1. Put vending machines in each hotel. Going to the front desk from the Old Garden Inn and back is enough to break a sweat, and then to find out you can't buy anything because it's closed late at night is quite inconvenient.
2. It would be even better if there was a dedicated service to deliver luggage to the rooms.
3. Also, the washing machine being under maintenance caused inconvenience. I recommend checking beforehand if you plan to use it.
4. The self-service breakfast always felt a bit lacking. There was no bread, and the fruit selection was very simple, only cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and oranges. Basic fruits like watermelon and cantaloupe would be nice, especially since it's not just the Old Garden Inn guests eating there, but also those from Wanjuan.
5. The auction house in the scenic area could start earlier. 8 PM is too late, as many people leave early.
6. The Zhan Tianyou Theater performance ended very abruptly; we didn't even realize it was over. A curtain call for the actors would be great – they are all very dedicated.
7. The last fire pot performance was also very awkward. Inviting a calligrapher to perform calligraphy and then selling their work on the spot? It wasted our time for the fire pot, which was very annoying! Especially for people not interested in calligraphy, this felt like a disappointing attempt at profit. If you want to promote Chinese calligraphy, I suggest creating a separate show, perhaps at Wenchang Pavilion. I think more people willing to buy would be there. Don't try to sell dog meat under the guise of a lamb's head!
8. The square where the iron flower performance takes place is very close to the water and quite dangerous! I recommend installing railings. Also, the small bridge leading to see the fish lanterns needs some lighting; it's really dark and shaky, making it very easy to fall!
