4-Star Hotels in Yan'an

The room was clean and spacious, but the glass door to the bathroom wasn't very private – you could see inside when showering, which was a bit inconvenient. The location is quite good, just across the bridge from Wanda Plaza, and Pagoda Mountain is within walking distance. Qingliang Mountain is right behind the hotel. However, it's at a crossroads, so rooms facing the street can be noisy; if that bothers you, request an inner room. There's a convenient parking lot right outside.

I booked this hotel because it had a stellar 5.0-star rating, and my stay was absolutely fantastic! The experience was top-notch! The location is super convenient, just a few hundred meters from Wuyue Plaza, making it an easy walk. Exploring Yan'an was a breeze. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, and the attention to detail made the stay so comfortable. The value for money is outstanding, and the breakfast was especially rich and varied. I highly recommend trying the 'hollow noodles' that were featured in 'A Bite of China' – many other hotels nearby don't offer this for breakfast, only this one does! Staying at Zhiping Hotel (Qingshui Tianhe Branch) is definitely the way to go.

I had a booking and was already checked in. Around midnight, I received a call asking if I was staying at the hotel, which woke me up. Then, past 1 AM, they arranged for new guests to check in right next to my room. This scared my child and me in the middle of the night! The front desk couldn't even explain the situation clearly when I called them. I couldn't get any sleep the entire night!!

The hotel is newly opened. Although Pagoda Mountain is across the street, you have to take a taxi (minimum fare) to get to the revolutionary site of Pagoda Mountain. Taxis are very convenient for getting to all revolutionary sites in Yan'an, so don't even think about walking. Our room, 502, faced the railway tracks, and the rumbling noise did disturb our sleep. There were only two sets of laundry equipment, so you had to queue if it was busy. The self-service breakfast was decent for the price, but there were many tour groups, and it was hard to find a seat during peak hours. The free hotel shuttle service could be improved. It would be helpful to inform guests beforehand that they need to take the escalator down at Yan'an Station to the ride-hailing pick-up point, and that drop-off at the station is only on the opposite side of the road, to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. Overall, this hotel is still acceptable, and drinking water is freely available.

Excellent hotel and recommended! The room was big enough for 2 of us and very clean. There are several restaurants near by. Although Trip.com shows the breakfast is from 7:00am but the actually it starts from 7:30, which was a bit late considering our schedule of the day. The breakfast restaurant staff was kind enough and we were allowed to start the breakfast from around 7:00 although the selection was limited until 7:30. Overall very good experience!

The biggest surprise of this trip was this guesthouse, which is actually more like a hotel. The room was huge, a river view family room. The Yellow River was right outside the window – it was my first time sleeping next to it! It had two bathrooms, but only one shower. An 'Xiao Du' smart assistant controlled the air conditioning, lights, curtains, sofa TV, and there were two large beds and a washing machine. It's perfect for family stays. It's also very close to both the Shaanxi and Shanxi Hukou Waterfall scenic areas. There's a big parking lot directly across the street. If it's not too busy, you can just park right downstairs without even crossing the road.

This hotel boasts an excellent location on Shuangyong Avenue, making it incredibly convenient for visiting Pagoda Mountain and various memorial halls. There are plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby, and parking is easy for those driving. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western options, including porridge, noodles, pastries, bread, milk, hot dishes, and snacks – a truly rich and diverse selection. The rooms are clean and tidy, with new facilities, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. All your travel and dining needs will be met here. It's a highly recommended and great value-for-money choice for anyone visiting Yan'an.

This hotel is located right in the city center, making it incredibly convenient for transportation! It's surrounded by Wanda Plaza and numerous other shopping centers, with countless dining options nearby, so shopping and eating are a breeze. The Yan River flows right in front of the hotel, with lush, green hills and rivers in the distance. The hotel is also backed by Qingliang Mountain, and you can even see the Pagoda Mountain scenic area from the hotel entrance. The facilities are comprehensive, parking is easy, and the hygiene is excellent. The front desk staff are welcoming, thoughtful, and meticulous – a big shout-out to the young lady working the evening shift that day! The breakfast offers a great mix of Chinese and Western options, along with local Yan'an specialties; the food is plentiful and delicious!

The hotel's location is excellent! Right downstairs is the Erdao Street Night Market! Taxis are super convenient; all the drivers know the Tourism Building Hotel. The room size is pretty good, quite spacious, but the desk and chair weren't a great match, which made eating or doing makeup a bit awkward. Also, it seemed like the sheets weren't changed during my seven-night stay. Everything else was fine though; the front desk staff were great and always ready to help with any issues. Breakfast was just okay, but the restaurant itself is quite large and impressive.

The room and bedding are clean and tidy, the environment is elegant, very close to the attractions, suitable for morning exercises, although the breakfast is not rich but it is close, Chinese food can be ordered very convenient, the service staff did not say, warm and thoughtful.
