Luxury Hotels in Yan'an

"The hotel is huge, and its facilities are excellent; it's probably one of the best in the area in terms of hardware. The cave room is very unique, but the lighting is so dim it really feels like a cave. If the hardware is five-star, then the service is three-star. The service was absolutely terrible, and the hotel's management level was a disaster. We stayed for two days and encountered so many problems that we decisively checked out and moved to another hotel, even though we had originally planned to extend our stay. 1. Because we were watching the 'Return to Yan'an' performance at 7 PM, the front desk, based on the time, booked an 'Embittered Memories' dinner for 5 PM the day before. Later, I called the front desk again to change it to 5:30 PM. When we arrived at the restaurant punctually, the restaurant's front desk couldn't even find our reservation, and the restaurant was completely unprepared. The restaurant staff quickly informed the hotel front desk that due to lack of preparation, all internal hotel guests with reservations were pushed back until after 8 PM. 2. There was a lack of communication or timely information exchange between the restaurant, front desk, and concierge. Given such a major blunder with the dining reservation, I immediately went to the front desk to inquire about the performance reservation I had made the day before for today. From what I overheard from the staff's phone conversation, it seemed they still hadn't made the reservation and were urgently trying to sort it out. 3. The restaurant manager said that because they weren't prepared, they would arrange for the food to be delivered to our room after 8:30 PM. After we returned from the performance, it still hadn't arrived. When I called to inquire, I was told that the reservation hadn't been made again. They then rushed to make it, and it was delivered to our room after 9 PM. 4. Breakfast was an even bigger disaster. The restaurant was quite small, with no usher, and no designated queuing area. The front desk just let people in without any guidance. Everyone had to wait behind guests who hadn't finished eating yet to grab a seat. In the end, we (a family of three) had no choice but to split up and find separate spots to share tables. 5. Not to mention the insufficient supply of coffee, milk, and beverages, the plates were also cleared very slowly. Everyone was doing half a task and then moving on to another. Despite a decent number of staff and not too many tables, it was still chaotic, which again proved the extremely poor training and management. 6. While eating, we saw more and more guests coming down. The front desk informed them there were no seats and to come back in half an hour. A large group of guests left unhappily. However, later guests were seated right away when seats became available. I can only imagine the anger of the large group of guests who waited half an hour only to have to continue waiting. 7. When checking in, we registered our child's information, but the front desk didn't even think to prepare children's toiletries and slippers. When I called the front desk from the room, the robot answered and recorded the request for children's supplies and an extra duvet. Half an hour later, there was still no movement. It was only when I switched to a human operator to complain that they urgently delivered them."

"I stayed at the Wanda Realm Yan'an for seven consecutive nights during the Chinese New Year, and the overall experience was incredibly comfortable. I have to give it a great review! A special shout-out to front desk manager Anna, whose service was exceptionally detailed and thoughtful. Not only did she upgrade us for free to a special 'kang' room (a traditional heated bed), but she also had the air conditioning on in advance, so we walked into a wonderfully warm room – truly considerate. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel was also enthusiastic and made us feel very welcome. If you're visiting Yan'an, choosing Wanda Realm is definitely the right choice!"

"The room was relatively new and the environment was quite nice, with a park right next door. However, the staff's service awareness seemed weak. That evening, when we parked our car and retrieved our luggage from the trunk ourselves, the staff standing at the door didn't help with the luggage and were very indifferent. The front desk staff handed the room key to us with one hand and barely said a word. I had just returned from a trip to a southern city where hotels always helped with opening car doors and taking luggage, and the front desk staff always handed room keys to guests with both hands; they were very welcoming. "The hotel is a bit far from the city, on the western outskirts, but it is quiet, the hotel is large, the rooms are larger than the average hotel, the facilities are old cadres, the health is very clean, the breakfast is also rich, the swimming pool gym on the third floor can be used for free, the service is first-class, it is worthy of extending the oil old hotel, In recent years, Yan'an has been on a business trip and has been used to living here. "The floor of the room is very high. Visually, it is 3.2 meters tall and has one floor. It does not feel oppressive and is atmospheric. The room was very clean and the stay was comfortable. Checking in at the front desk during the National Day had to wait in line for half an hour. The three front desks were very busy, but in the end I found that the three of them went through the procedures together. After several steps, only one person checked in, and the others were just preliminary contacts and communication😅😅. Although it was recommended that guests waiting in line at the back go to Tower C to check in, with a bunch of luggage and children, no one was willing to drag their luggage to another building. The biggest complaint was that the front desk reported that orders placed by Ctrip after 6 pm that day were not found in the hotel system at 9:30 pm, and it took a long time to get the room card. The worst thing is that I stayed in Building AC. All breakfast the next day was concentrated in Building B, and the breakfast room in Building A was not open. Fifteen or six hundred people went to the restaurant in Tower B to have breakfast. There was no food because of the crowd. You had to fry your own eggs to get the fried eggs. The management had no plan or plan when faced with the crowd?"

"Very satisfactory 3 nights stay at Jinze hotel during our recent visit to Yan’an. Hotel room is clean and spacious, bed is comfortable. Very strategic location at the city centre, walkable to QingLiang Hill and the famous food street. Getting a taxi or DIDI is easy. We enjoyed the breakfast served in the hotel which comes with good variety and mostly local dishes. What impressed me most is the friendly staffs who are always enthusiastic to offer help and travel advice. The hotel in-house restaurants offer delicious food that comes with very reasonable price. Not surprisingly that we had several enjoyable meals at the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff also offered us free souvenirs when we checked out. Appreciate the kind gesture very much 😁. No doubt I would recommend this hotel to anyone who will visit Yan’an."

"The hotel of the army is good. You must choose Hongxingyuan when you come to Yan'an. It is usually not open to the outside world. It is amazing to open, especially the carefulness of the leaders and the service. The special enthusiasm and sincerity of the room are clean and tidy! On the first day, the leader asked us to make comments. We said that the hot water is not too hot. The water is particularly hot at night. I really want to give the old leader a thumbs up. This efficiency is really nothing to say! We also think that the leader will come to Beijing in the future. We will entertain the leader. It is approachable and sincere!
