GGuest UserI prepaid with Ctrip. When I checked in, the front desk asked me to swipe my credit card. When I asked, they said: To verify whether the credit card was the one used for prepayment. I was very puzzled at the time. After checking out, I checked the bill and found that they deducted the fee again.
After I found the problem, I contacted Ctrip, but Ctrip could not refund directly (with evidence and I was a black brick member) and I had to wait for the hotel to reply.
Then I directly emailed the hotel, submitted evidence, and asked them to process the refund. The hotel may be a chain and pay attention to its reputation, so they processed the refund the next day.
Ctrip kept shirking and asked me to wait for the agent's reply (it didn't get it done in a week), and never took the initiative to help customers solve problems.

WWochuchaneVery close to the airport, bus 292 arrives in a few minutes. There is also subway U1 nearby, which is convenient for going to the center of Hamburg.

KKerstin KaehlerYou can’t beat the location for public transport convenience: Barmbek subway and S-Bahn as well as bus hub is directly beside the Intercity Hotel and its just four stops from Hamburg Airport. I liked the breakfast buffet very much, as it’s a typical German style breakfast: müsli and cereal choices as well as fresh vegetables and fruit and different kinds of grain bread, eggs, pancakes… Be aware that the rooms are very clean upon arrival however; you will need to order cleaning DURING your stay a day in advance. It’s free, of course, but as part of their environmentally conscious program they provide cleaning on demand during stays only. For me, that is a BIG PLUS as I try to travel green.

QQingtianxiaoshanStayed for five nights, excellent value for money. As a family of three, we were given a triple room, and our child was thrilled to have a separate small bed. Breakfasts were quite rich every morning. When booking through Trip.com, the front desk confirmed that the city tax was already included, so we didn't have to pay any extra fees. The room was cleaned daily, and we had a kettle. Towels were also promptly replaced. Plus, we were given a room with an amazing view, overlooking the Elbphilharmonie and the Ferris wheel! The location is very convenient, with the S-Bahn station situated perfectly between my husband's office and the city center. The park downstairs is fantastic. Looking forward to our next visit!

GGuest UserFor the hotel, from the staff, the room to the breakfast, there is nothing to complain. Staffs are professional, room is clean and comfy (although room is small for a family of 4), and breakfast was really good.
The only downside is the location, it's close to hbf, and we don't really feel safe at the area nearby..... but you come from Berlinertor side, I think it's alright. But it's not anything the hotel can do i guess.
