My room was the furthest away possible from the lift. It was in a corner, corner shaped, I felt awfully cramped. There was NOT A SINGLE DRAWER IN THE ROOM! THERE WAS NO WARDROBE IN THE ROOM. There were only 3 hangers to hang my clothes, EXPOSED ON THE WALL. Awfull experience, I feel cheated. I will never use this hotel or trip again. And will block trip.com from being acessed from within my company.

We stayed at the Hyperion Hamburg for one night during our roadtrip through Europe. Arriving by car is very convenient, since the hotel is located close to a major road and offers garage parking with direct access to the hotel. Also, the location is great for sightseeing, as most of the city center is reachable by foot. We got a nice big corner room on one of the upper floors, with great views, comfortable beds, and lots of space for the 3 of us (2 adults and one child). The breakfast was very good, with many different options.

Fantastic service from Paulina. She checked me into the hotel efficiently. Told me all about the services offered by the hotel. She was friendly and helpful. I had asked her to help me pay a traffic ticket that was written in German. She read the ticket, translated and helped me figure out how to pay it. Thank you. The hotel was under renovation but the room was very nice. It was quiet and had a nice view of the canal. The location is very central-walking distance to most sites and to the shopping areas. Would definitely stay here again.

Sometimes we are in hotels where you somehow get a strange feeling right from the moment you check in. You don't feel comfortable and welcome. The Courtyard Hamburg City is one of them. It started at the reception during our very early check-in. The staff member told us in a supercilious manner that we had received an upgrade. But the ”better” rooms had not yet been cleaned. But because we were getting an upgrade, it would certainly be worth waiting for the room. Our question about when we could expect the room was only answered with the statement that the actual check-in was at 3 pm. We could go into town in the meantime, it's not far and we shouldn't come back too early - 3 pm. We could leave our luggage at the hotel. There is still room for improvement! And so there were a few similar little things during our stay. None of them big issues. But just a lot of little things where you keep asking yourself: ”Why? Why don't they just do it better?” The stay ended as it had begun. After our online check-out, we discovered that the bill was not correct. However, this was corrected immediately after a complaint by e-mail. No comment. Without apology or the like. A word about breakfast, as there were many comments on this: The restaurant in the hotel is run by an outside company. This is not noticeable at first glance. Nevertheless, this constellation has disadvantages. For example, the restaurant is closed one day a week (breakfast is of course available all week). Is that a good thing for a hotel? That's something everyone has to decide for themselves. But now to breakfast: Cost: 25 Euros, if not already included in the room rate. The breakfast is extensive. Nevertheless, there are some things that are not there. For example, freshly prepared egg dishes. Here, you are treated to prefabricated fried eggs, scrambled eggs and the like, some of which look rather adventurous. There are also no pencakes or waffles. On the other hand, there is a large vegetarian/vegan corner. Most of the dishes are of very high quality, often even organic or Demeter. The service is prompt, attentive and friendly. The ambience in the restaurant is also quite good. Is the breakfast now worth its 25 euros? Yes, because the restaurant is run by a third party and the operator also has to earn money. Yes, because the ingredients are of very high quality. Yes, because the selection is quite large. No, because certain things such as egg dishes prepared on site are missing. No, because the selection is large, but not outstanding. In our opinion, a price of 19 euros would suit the breakfast better.

Thank you to the team of Crowne Plaza Hamburg. It was a very good stay. The check-in at the reception is very professional. The welcome snack is the richest in Crowne Plaza in which I have lived in Europe so far. Also breakfast is very rich, as well as the locally prepared omelet. The room is modern and comfortable. Hamburg is cold, but the sauna in the hotel is wonderful. Each staff is very enthusiastic. Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Pros Good location and only 5 min walk from the nearest train station (keep walking when you see the sign on the side of the building as the entrance is round the next corner). Got a deal for 2 double bed room for 3 adults including breakfast - booked direct as comparison sites only include 2 breakfasts. Buffet breakfasts had both cooked and continental style food. There was plenty and they serve English breakfast tea. Comfortable beds and decent bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Cons Air con was not great and barely made a difference. We were on the Große Bleichen side and with the windows open, we heard noisy speeding luxury cars and the refuse collectors that both woke me up. We kept the windows shut after this. I would ask for a room on a different side if we visit again. I can't comment on the restaurant as we ate out in the evening.

I chose this hotel for a business trip. I stayed here for one day on an overseas business trip. It is undoubtedly the best choice when the budget is limited. Booking in advance is very favorable! It's very expensive if it's nearby, the waiters are very enthusiastic, and the breakfast can be full; the king of cost performance, recommended!

I was not planning on staying at a hotel near Hamburg airport but because of a flight disruption I made a last-minute reservation at Courtyard. I was pleasantly surprised by the room which I found to be quite nice for airport hotel standards, or for any Courtyard for that matter. The hotel is only 1km from the airport and there is a pedestrian path which makes it somewhat walkable if luggage is not too heavy; the lone challenge is that there is a small hill to climb as the path passes above another road. The hotel has a shuttle bus available every 30 minutes however it’s only available mornings and evenings, not between 12pm and 6pm. I showed up at the hotel barely 15 minutes after booking and I was already proactively upgraded to a suite as Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite guest. The room looked great for Courtyard brand standards and I would have almost nothing negative to note except perhaps that air conditioning was disconnected for the winter, but the room was hot so we had to open the window to get some fresh air. To open such window, interestingly there were two windows so soundproofing (when closed) was hard to beat. I wish more airport hotels had such high quality windows. I am not a regular at Courtyard hotels but the very few where I stayed were cumbersome in their management of the Marriott breakfast or food credit benefit for guests Platinum and above, and this one hotel was no exception. I asked to receive the 10 EUR food & beverage benefit per person per day instead of welcome points. Perhaps this is standard at all CYs, but when I asked if I could combine the credit for both nights into an order made on a single day, the answer was no, the credit is only per day and cannot be carried over to another night. On the last day I did not really plan on ordering anything so I went to the bar for a drink but it was closed in the afternoon and would only open at 5pm. The receptionist told me that I could use the credit for wine or beer from the pantry near reception so that was my choice. However the next morning upon departure they did not apply the credit because they said the pantry was not eligible to the credit (unlike what I was told). After discussion they removed the charge, but all in all it was a lot of hassle for the management of this credit compared to hotels that simply provide free breakfast, period. In theory there are many situations where I prefer a credit because I might not want hotel breakfast so I am not opposed to the concept, but the execution seems to be lacking. In any event, the one time that I ordered room service, food quality was excellent. Overall the hotel was quite nice for a Courtyard near an airport and I can recommend it for a short stay between flights. There is not a lot of competition from large hotel chains near HAM airport, I saw a Radisson but that’s pretty much it, so upon returning to HAM I would book a room at CY again without second thoughts.

We had booked an Elbphilharmonie Suite, which turned out to be a gorgeous light room with three ceiling to floor windows overlooking the harbour and the city. It had a huge comfortable bed with perfect (for me) pillows, a desk, lots of chairs and sofas, a fridge, kettle and mugs. The bathroom had another ceiling to floor window and a bath, separate shower and separate wc. There were some really nice touches such as mirrors on the ceiling of the top shelves, so that you could see what was on them, small windows that opened and hooks by the front door (though none in the bathroom!). There were no USBs but plenty of sockets. The A/C was easy to set and worked quite well, but we kept the curtains drawn during the morning when the sun was directly on the room. Turndown offered more interesting ideas such as sunscreen (which was brilliant and useful), foot cream and Mentos as well as a chocolate on the last night. We had breakfast in the hotel on first and last mornings: excellent hot and cold buffet with bacon, fried and scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans, sausages and potatoes as well as loads of pasties and other options. We also used the Blick Bar, which had very good service. We had beers and potato crisps as well as good cocktails and mocktails: it is quite expensive though.

Overall, it was the best experience I've had in a hotel since years.

Excellent
This is an absolutely stunning hostel. The single cabins and double cabins are small, but very comfortable. There is more than enough toileting and showering facilities for everyone, and you always have plenty of privacy. The staff are super helpful and welcoming. The menu and drinks are great. The cabins come with plenty of built-in wireless charging, usb ports, built-in Bluetooth speakers and electricity points. Large and smaller towel per person, along with a bathrobe. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs all within a few minutes walk. 5 minute walk to central Hamburg train station for the airport and all other locations. I am very impressed with this hostel and would recommend it highly.
GGuest UserThe room comes with 1 queen size sofa bed and a toilet once you open the room door. Then there is a sliding door. Once you open the sliding door you will see a king size bed and a shower room with bath tub and toilet.
There are 2 TVs, 4 pairs of room slippers.
Room size is comfortable for 4 adults.
At lobby the hotel provide welcome drinks and cookies. Also packet juice and morning coffee.
The hotel is opposite the terminal 1 main entrance. Has to walk cross the road and it was snowing when we were there, very cold.
GGuest UserWe had a fantastic stay, and enjoyed the service, location and facilities. The swimming pool was clean and relaxing, the bar was intimate and the roof top bar is really worth a visit to enjoy the views. The love music added to the atmosphere without being over powering. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a large bathroom and powerful shower. The breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and great service. It didn’t disappoint in any way.
KKatrine Buus LarsenThe lokation was perfect - we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The breakfast was fantastic and the service at the hotel was really good. A perfect stay in Hamburg.
GGuest UserI booked this lovely property with miles, but cash rates are typically very reasonable. I enjoyed my stay greatly. The atmosphere felt fresh and new (as if the hotel had been recently constructed), the location is within walking distance to the subway station and Miniatur Wunderland, and the service is very kind and helpful. Thinking back on it, I hope I didn’t sound too entitled when I was asking every two hours if there was a room available for early check-in (I hadn’t slept the night before!). The staff were so patient and accommodating. I loved them. The rooms were everything I needed for a one-night stay, and then some. My request for a courtyard-facing room was granted, and I slept with the utmost bliss. Cleanliness was apparent throughout the room and lobby areas. The space I was given was large, comfy, and workable for someone in an electric wheelchair. I shall leave by mentioning one thing I wasn’t aware of—the holiday of Pentecost is apparently a huge thing in Germany. While this brought awesome advantages like zero traffic and a feeling as if Hamburg was a ghost town I had to myself for a day, it also meant the on-site restaurant was closed (and most other restaurants). Not complaining—just FYI if you’re visiting in early June! Thanks for the best stay I could ever ask for!
GGuest UserOK - it's still the furniture I knew from the time when it was the Forum Hotel. And that's very long ago. But in autumn the renovation is supposed to go. The reception was very friendly. It's been really fun. I have a beautiful room with beautiful views of the city. Unfortunately, very much is built so that you may not be able to look at the elbe at all next time. Unfortunately. This time there was even a process that was close. Until the water pressure (15th floor) the shower was all right. But this is natural and there was no standard. I was surprised at breakfast. Besides the friendly staff, which quickly cleaned, the offer was very versatile. I asked: the fricadels tasted as they did (burned apple pieces) and not for convenience. But you didn't want to make yourself with foreign pearls and thought it was convenience. But it was all very good. I will put the hotel more in my focus once I'm back in Hamburg.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very modern, something outside and makes some right. The price-performance ratio was ok, the services were as expected. The 24-hour reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but modern and as we had expected. The bathroom was large enough, the bed was 140cm wide, as ordered and cozy and there was a mini-fridge, water cooker and a capsule coffee machine. The breakfast was fine, but the high-priced offer was far from promoted. The choice was small and sufficient, but the offer could have been even greater. The hotel also tries to think of some ”modern”, no room service (it is often so and for the price well). You have to keep the lift free for its floor, which is permanently spinning and you have to hold the card twenty times. You should have the waste out of your own when it is full, in rooms for it. But all right, only my own and not the guest's, you could have removed it before we enter the room! And you use bed lakes instead of slips, because these are easier to change, stupid only if I wake up next morning and lie on the mattress, since the lake is scrapped again. In itself. a good business hotel that could offer a good price-performance ratio if you don't try to think everything new if it decreases quality.
FFarAway34602167707This new and unusual hotel is located in a lively part of the city and made our first visit to Hamburg very special. The building is extraordinary. Finding the building is easy, finding the entrance to the hotel is difficult. The entrance is similar to that of an inner city car park, it’s hidden round the back, no signage to speak of and no lighting at night which is unacceptable. The hotel is the new (top) part of the building and enjoys access to the public walkway (which was very crowded when we visited). The hotel has no communal space such as a lobby so is rather impersonal, there is open space on the same level as the check in desk, coffee shop, souvenir shop and the bar but this will be pretty cold in the winter. The rooms are designed to reflect the nature of the urban location and our room was decorated with street art. Our room was very comfortable with great views of the city and windows that open wide. Our room had a lot of design features including mood lighting but it was impractical in other ways, limited space and virtually no storage. We would have liked more information about the hotel and the features in our room (we never figured out how to operate the ‘intuitive’ thermostat or access Alexa). The hotel is new and still going through the ‘snagging’ phase, but that didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves and the extraordinary location. All the staff we came into contact were very friendly and helpful and we would happily return.
JJINGNATemporary looking for a hotel, still quite satisfactory, but far from the city center, a small partner without a car may not be suitable. The room was clean and tidy, but it was very quiet, but the bed was a bit too soft. There is no air conditioning in the room, but the weather in Hamburg does not need to be air conditioned.
GGuest UserWas here for three nights this past weekend. The ‘superior’ room was looking very tired indeed, with a fair few carpet stains. The small corner shower had a shower curtain so it keeps touching you as you’re moving about. All of this was kinda forgivable as it was a drinking weekend and I just needed somewhere to rest my head. However, the service was really odd. I’ve stayed at the hotel a few times before and never had an issue but this time there were a couple of new guys who act like doing the very basics of their jobs is an absolute burden to them. It was vaguely comical dealing with adult men who were acting like sulky teenagers. On Sunday night I went to the bar to grab a drink before my friend came down and stood in front of one man (the only one there) who ignored me, reclined and texted on his phone. When I asked if I could get a drink he looked like I’d asked for a kidney. He asked what I wanted and I said a glass of wine before he said no (there was a bottle open about a foot away from him) but that I could choose a small soft drink. I did and he gave it to me unopened and without a bottle opener. Bizarre. The experience at check it was similarly odd.
