4-Star Hotels in Beppu

The room was spacious, and the balcony was also very large with a nice view. The open-air onsen was amazing! The service was excellent. They even had massage devices for body and face. The matcha tea bags were delicious too. I felt a lot of thought went into everything.

I stayed with my family during our trip to Beppu, and it exceeded all my expectations. We wanted to experience a traditional-style Ryokan, and this was the perfect choice. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that everything was well managed. One of the highlights was the ability to reserve a private bath, which made the experience even more relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm, making it an ideal place to rest and unwind. The location is also convenient—just a 7-10 minute taxi ride from Beppu Station. I highly recommend this Ryokan to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in Beppu!

Very satisfied with our stay. Room is abit small as the room was constructed out of a container but they still managed to pack everything nicely into the room. Location may not be ideal for travellers relying on public transport but no issue if you’re driving as there are parking lots available for hotel guests in front of the hotel. Love the amenities provided (full range of Pola products and Refa hair dryer!) They even provide a Balmuda kettle. As hotel is located within a park, there is no security fencing. There is a main gate where hotel guests need to scan their card to enter hotel premise but public can easily walk over the slightly raised flower bed to enter the hotel premise even without the need to enter via the main gate. Such setup is only possible in Japan where security is not a major issue and known for being a safe country but we’ll be concerned if this is in another country. There is also no shelter from hotel rooms to the parking area so managing luggage during rainy days will be challenging. But overall we love our stay at this hotel.

The room was huge! And clean. The staff was very patient in explaining things. The hotel itself was within walking distance to Takegawara onsen (where you can do the sand bath). Did I say the room was huge? There are a few parking options nearby but the one closest (behind) the hotel has limited lots.

The hotel has a great location, right across from the landmark Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) attraction, and next to a large supermarket. We stayed in a one-night stay with two meals included, and the menu was extensive and delicious – definitely worth trying. The biggest downside of the hotel is the early check-in; we had to leave by 10:00 AM, which was very rushed! Also, the onsen (hot spring) was a bit small, and it was too hot in the open air. There wasn't a proper Japanese garden; it was just the rooms and the onsen, which lacked a certain ambiance.

Gorgeous hotel on the bay in Beppu with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Hotel is modern and beautiful, influenced by traditional craftsmanship and architecture. Meals are delicious and draw on local delicacies. Service is so-so. Staff seem overwhelmed and distant. Lots of activities planned for guests, but noise doesn’t travel. Hot springs are relaxing, although there are only two baths inside and one, small one outside. Shop is not great. Would recommend the hotel consider selling some of the dish ware or toiletries in the bathroom or other crafts and or local products from Oita, etc.

The room was clean, beautiful and stylish. The bath opens into an outdoor area which was awesome. The onsen water is the kind that is clear and without smell. The checkin staff was helpful and polite. No food is offer at the place and also it’s far from the main station so it’s better to have a car if you want to stay here.

This spacious accommodation is ideal for a family getaway with several members. It was tidy and cozy, making it a pleasant place to stay with my kids. The highlight was the garden outside and the large windows that let in the morning sun, creating a lovely atmosphere for breakfast while gazing outside. Unfortunately, the hot spring was out of order when we got there, but it appeared to be large enough for two people to enjoy. I was initially concerned that the size of the apartment would make it chilly upon arrival, but the heating system was effective, and the place warmed up quickly.

My friends and I are very satisfied with this hotel. We were a little worried at first because the room facilities still maintain the old style (key-operated doors, traditional old-style tatami mats and paper doors). We booked the ”one bed, two meals” package, and dinner was at Choose to eat kaiseki cuisine in the room. The chef's craftsmanship and menu design made us feel that it was well worth the money spent this time! ! Although the dining space for breakfast is not large, every dish is very delicious! If you want to talk about the shortcomings, it is probably that the space for bathing is not large, but my friends and I think that compared to other hot springs that are full of people, this environment is quite refined and comfortable. The hotel's lobby and public spaces have all been transformed into a modern style, and not only free drinks are provided (there are even draft beers for you to drink). I personally like and recommend this hotel

The receptionist was courteous. The other staff members were also considerate. The rooms are clean and have plenty of amenities. The breakfast was luxurious and filling.
