"First off, the hotel's location is excellent, right next to Beppu Station, making it super convenient to get around, and there are tons of dining options nearby.
The hotel breakfast was one of the best I've had in Japan – very extensive. However, it can get crowded on weekends, so you might have to queue. In the evenings, they offer a complimentary bowl of soba noodles, which taste great, but again, be prepared for a potential wait.
The onsen facilities are good. The private baths are always full and require queuing, but there are several public pools available, and the hygiene is fine. After a soak, you can enjoy free ice cream while taking in the night view.
The room's cleanliness and amenities are satisfactory, though the window only opens a crack, and there's no real view to speak of.
The hotel has a very high occupancy rate, with many Korean guests, so there's a good chance you'll encounter queues for everything during peak hours.
Upon entering, you need to take off your shoes and store them at the entrance. Whether that's an inconvenience or a convenience is a matter of personal preference.
Overall, the impression is good, and the Japanese staff's service attitude is impeccable. However, considering the price, I wouldn't say it offers exceptional value for money."

"We had a pleasant stay at Amanek Beppu. The lobby is bright and welcoming, giving a great first impression. The hotel provides free bottles of water, which was a nice touch and very convenient during my stay.

"I've stayed at Beppu Kamenoi Hotel multiple times, and it consistently delivers a great experience. The hotel is quite large. While it's an older property and some of the facilities show their age, it's very well-maintained and impeccably clean. The hotel's onsen (hot springs) are a major highlight – absolutely fantastic for melting away fatigue. Inside the hotel, there are several restaurants, all serving delicious food at reasonable prices. Its location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from the JR station, making it incredibly convenient for travel. We made good use of our JR Pass to easily visit Oita and Kokura."

"## Environment:
The location is very convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Beppu Station. There's a Lawson nearby and plenty of restaurants. You can walk to the beach in about 10 minutes.
On the 3rd floor, there's a free hot spring. If you want to use it, you can pick up a yukata and belt from the toiletries area on the first floor. It's on a lower level, and I didn't see it at first, so I had to come back down to get it. There's a good selection of toiletries, including disposable makeup remover and facial cleanser.
## Cleanliness:
The room's cleanliness was decent. The facilities were a bit old but still clean. The hot spring only had two hot pools, one cold pool, and a sauna. There was also an outdoor pool just big enough for one person. You just take off your clothes, rinse off, and then soak. However, when I was soaking, I noticed a lot of what looked like exfoliated dirt floating in the pool. The water circulation didn't seem to be very timely, so I only soaked for a short while and then left.
## Facilities:
There's a washing machine and dryer, which I think cost 300 yen per use. The room has a refrigerator, but it doesn't seem to have a microwave; that's probably in a common area. It's quite quiet.
## Service:
The service was very friendly. Opposite the restroom on the first floor, there's a self-service luggage storage area where you can set your own password and retrieve your belongings, which is very convenient."

"An absolutely fantastic onsen ryokan with a superb, prime beachfront location. It was the most affordable onsen ryokan I booked for this trip, yet it turned out to be the most delightful surprise. "I stayed at Liguanfang for two consecutive nights, so I'd like to share my experience. From a location perspective, it's incredibly convenient, with several hot spring 'hells' in Kannawa just a five-minute walk away. Getting to and from the airport via the express bus is also very easy, and if you have a lot of luggage, they can even arrange delivery to the station. Regarding the environment, it's elegant, and there weren't many guests during my stay, so it was generally quiet. As for the room facilities, the hot spring water was exceptional – truly worthy of Kannawa Onsen, one of Beppu's Eight Hot Springs. The water was much better than another hotel I stayed at in Beppu; my skin felt noticeably smoother after soaking. From a food perspective, it was good. However, since I also stayed at another hotel in Beppu, the food here was slightly inferior by comparison, but still worth experiencing. Overall, it's an excellent onsen ryokan that's definitely worth a return visit!"

We recently stayed at this hotel, and the experience was mixed — there are some nice touches, but also noticeable shortcomings.
**Room:**
The room was spacious but clearly outdated; furniture and interior look worn. The ventilation works, yet it still feels quite stuffy inside. It would be great if the hotel improved air-conditioning or installed mosquito screens: the sea view is beautiful, but opening the window isn’t an option because of too many insects.
**Facilities & Service:**
The only real extras are massage service and a shared onsen. There’s no gym, pool, or other activities — the hotel is designed for quiet relaxation. A shuttle service is available, which is convenient, but if you miss it, getting to the hotel on your own can be quite difficult. During this stay the hotel was quite busy, and it often took a long time to catch the elevator to our floor.
**Dining:**
Breakfast and dinner can be pre-booked; the food was tasty and varied. The bar offers a pleasant atmosphere with a decent drink selection, and in the evening the lobby lounge opens with alcoholic drinks and light snacks — a nice way to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
**Location:**
The property faces Beppu Bay, yet the seaside feeling is limited — there are few walking areas nearby, and due to insects it’s hard to enjoy the open air.
**Overall:**
A good option for a calm, onsen-style getaway with decent food and polite staff, but when the hotel is crowded, the lack of facilities and outdated rooms become more noticeable. With some modernization and better infrastructure, this could be an excellent resort."

CCcsgbbThe only minor drawback is the slightly remote location, meaning you'll likely need a taxi or public bus to get down the mountain since the complimentary shuttle service isn't very frequent. Otherwise, there are virtually no other complaints. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and tidy, and the toiletries provided were quite good. The outdoor hot spring was fantastic! The hotel wasn't overly crowded, which made for a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated 15 minutes taxi ride from the Beppu station. So we have nowhere to go that night. But it's good enough to have hotspring and drinks in the hotel. The staff is very polite and can explain what you can do in English. Then you were lead to the room and tips rejected.
We booked the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The dinner time is either 6pm or 6:30pm and the breakfast time 8am or 8:30. The dinner is good but maybe my expectation is quite high, it didn't reach my expectation, especially for the sashimi.
For the onsen, there are 4 private onsens and 2 public. One of the private onsens is closed. Therefore we can use 3. You can use the private onsen when it is not occupied. Just lock the door and turn the plate to the other side. But all the onsen are closed by 12 midnight. And there is a room with free flow beer and soda, but it closes at 10pm. Don't drink beer before taking hotspring.
There is also an onsen in our room which can be used anytime. It's hot at night but not so hot in the next morning. Overall, the view is good. The staff is good. The food is good (just not so great) and the onsens are good. Beppu is a good place to stay a few days more

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located, about a 10-minute walk from Beppu Station, just down the alley from Takegawara Onsen. It's surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping malls, and is close to the beach and Beppu Tower. Takegawara Onsen offers a sand bath, but I didn't try it again because I'd already tried it in Ibusuki. This is a very traditional Japanese-style hotel, with relatively large tatami rooms. The facilities appear dated, but they are very clean. There are no private showers, so you need to use the communal baths (sitz baths and hot springs). The hotel also has private baths available for reservation and a fee. Daily housekeeping is not included, so you need to leave your trash at the door each day, where it will be collected by staff. Towels and bathrobes are provided for the two days before your stay, and you can pick them up at the front desk if you need more. Since there's no room service, the bed isn't made, so you have to make it yourself. I initially thought it would be a little awkward, but it was surprisingly easy to adapt to. There is a laundry room, which costs 300 yen for unlimited use during your stay, but there are only two washers and dryers, and there's a queue during peak hours. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, answering all my questions. Breakfast is a set meal, and the restaurant staff are also very friendly. The meals are different every day during the three-day stay, which is a plus! Beppu is really comfortable and relaxing. I hope to have the opportunity to come again in the future~

The sea view is beautiful, and soaking in the hot spring at night felt just like having a private onsen. There's a bus stop right outside, with direct service to Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell). Beppu Kitahama is right next door, and Don Quijote is just a short walk further. While it's a bit of a walk from Beppu Station, staying right by the sea often means sacrificing a little bit of convenience.

**Pros:**
1. **Excellent Location:** It's just a 5-minute walk from the JR station, the bus stop for Fukuoka, and the bus stop for the Beppu Hells. The Fukuoka-bound bus station (located near a shopping mall) is also conveniently reachable within a 10-minute walk.
2. **Stunning Infinity Pool:** The infinity pool offers breathtaking views, including Beppu Tower, and is perfect for photos. Unfortunately, it rained heavily during my stay, so it was deserted during the day. The operating hours are quite reasonable, covering most of the day during my visit.
3. **Impressive Lobby & Dining:** The main building's lobby boasts an impressive design. Dining options are available on the first floor, and at 3300 JPY (approximately 160 RMB), the price is quite reasonable, comparable to what you'd expect at a star-rated hotel in China.
4. **Convenient Amenities & Services:** Shower caps and other amenities are available for collection at the front desk. Luggage storage is also provided.

GGuest UserWhen I arrived the hotel, the two parking lots on the right side of the entrance were occupied but the one on the left side was still vacant. So I temporarily parked there to unload my luggage and then drove away to a nearby public paid carpark. However when I came back, I found the parking space was occupied by a rental car with a Fukuoka license plate and it parked there for the whole night.
The instruction sent to us clear said the customer can only use the two parking lots on the right side with “first come first serve” principle. I am wondering what is the left parking space used for? If it is only used for unloading and pickup, then the instruction should clearly mention it. Otherwise it is not fair for the customers that followed the rules and parked their cars to somewhere else.

Good soundproofing between rooms. Only could hear passing by of trains while awake, so wasn’t a big an issue to us.

Only 2 parking spaces for 7 units. *Should also indicate in the booking system that parking spaces are first come first served and have to park at nearby paying car parks if both were being taken up.
Will be nice to provide some garbage bags in the room as clearing of food waste from the room was definitely necessary during the many days of our stay!
Dining table (super wobbly and one side of the table legs seemed like giving away very soon) needs to changed/repaired instantly!

First floor has 2 rooms ＜1 double bed and 1 with twin beds＞ but no space for luggages, a small washing basin at the corner of the staircase. 1 wc and 2 showers at first floor. Washing machine ＜no dryer＞ on the first floor. 1 wc on 2nd floor. Living room on 3 floor. 2nd floor has 2 rooms ＜1 with 2 double beds and 1 single bed, another with a single bed＞. 2 washing basin on 2nd floor inside the rooms. It's not possible to bring big luggage up to narrow and steep staircase.no mirror on 1st floor so nid to climb up to wash and brush teeth. We wish the living room was the 1st floor. The music from nearby is bearable. Only know how to manage the water heater on 2nd day.
Suggestion to include rubbish bins on the first and 2nd floor. Add a mirror on first floor.
