4-Star Hotels in Kuching

We flew into Kuching in August 2026. Our flight arrived in the evening, and we were looking for a place to stay overnight that also offered easy access to tourist attractions. We were met in the lobby by a very friendly host who clearly explained where the apartment was located and how to use the keys and elevator. The apartment is on the 10th floor. Everything in the room was exactly as pictured on Trip.com. It was very clean and tidy. There's a microwave, refrigerator, kettle, washing machine with detergent, iron, ironing board, and a vacuum cleaner. Drinks, cookies, and instant coffee are also provided. On the 5th floor, there's a rooftop pool with views of the Sarawak River. The Kuching Waterfront promenade and bridge are a 25-30 minute walk from the hotel. It's beautiful there in the evening. However, we weren't able to have dinner at the restaurants near the waterfront as they close between 9:30 PM and 10:00 PM. There are, of course, some cafes that are open 24/7. We bought cheese flatbreads from one of these and brought them back to the hotel for dinner. Finding good coffee in the morning was also a challenge. I went into a cafe and bought coffee, but it was terrible – tasted like just 3-in-1 instant coffee. The apartment is wonderful; I highly recommend staying here.

Should provide 2 apartment card instead only 1. Imagine one of your family member want to go out/return to apartment while the rest choose to stay, the whole apartment will blackout + 1 of them using bathroom. Can u imagine that? Because that is what happen to our family. U cannot expect all 6 family members will stay or go out together. The card(yellow) is for apartment entrance, also for lift(to go to your apartment or go downstair), also to open the apartment door together with apartment electricity/power. 1 more thing that concern me master bedroom bathroom is clogged & flooded everytime u take bath. The rest is small issue for me

The most comfy and clean resort I've ever had. Friendly ,Chill and keep privacy 

Metrocity Condominium offers a very strategic location, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and eateries, making it extremely convenient for daily living. The unit itself is spacious and comfortable, featuring 3 bedrooms, all equipped with air conditioning. It also comes fully furnished with home furniture and complete utensils, which makes it ideal for both short and long stays. However, it would be more convenient if at least two sets of access cards were provided to tenants, especially for families or groups. Additionally, the check-out policy is quite strict, with no flexibility given for late check-out. Overall, it is a comfortable and well-located place to stay, with just a few areas that could be improved for a better guest experience.

No receptionist after working hours 8-5. But can Whatsapp the number provided into the room for assistance. The gate will be closed in the evening but there is a gate remote control provided with the room keys and staircase main door access card. Facilities quite complete including washing machine, dryer machine, mini kitchen (all sharing). Got swimming pool on the top floor and a mini gym too. Walk to the front got some eateries but at night it's close.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning view of the river. Waking up to the scenic waterfront and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere truly enhanced the overall experience. The hotel’s location is also excellent, making it convenient to explore the nearby attractions along the Kuching waterfront. Overall, a great stay with comfortable rooms and a beautiful river view. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching.

We had a great stay! The apartment was clean, spacious, and exactly as shown in the photos. The location was convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby. Check-in was smooth, and the host was friendly and responsive. The facilities were well maintained, and everything we needed was provided. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again!

The hotel shows its age, but overall it is still well-maintained and perfectly acceptable for the price point. While the design and furnishings feel a little dated, everything was generally clean and in working order, making it a practical and comfortable stay rather than a luxurious one. On the positive side, the location is definitely a strong advantage the hotel is conveniently close to a mall and several attractions, making it easy to get around and find food or entertainment. Overall, it’s a decent, budget-friendly option if you value location and practicality over modern facilities. I stay at 1601 room with very nice panoramic view of waterfront Kuching. Kindly clean up the window, with this view, I feel my stay is worth with price I stay.

The location is still ok because there is a mall so if you want to eat or buy things you are still happy, but if you want to go to the waterfront, it takes 25 minutes, in front of the apartment there is also an everise, but yesterday we ordered the 2 bedroom one, 13th floor, the funny thing is that the wifi we use is the hotel wifi so it's a bit slow, there's no soap in the room, he said Sinad, it's just not available, finally he was told to deliver it, there wasn't even an iron, when I checked out I asked, he said he wanted to chat then it would be delivered hadeh🤧, even though when he arrived there was no response to the chat, it was annoying Plus, if you want to use the washing machine, you have to rent it for 35 RM a night👎, that should be the facility we get when we rent an apartment, I live in another apartment, even though the washing machine isn't in the room, it's kept downstairs, if we use it, it's free. Why do you have to pay for this? , 200 rm deposit, 37 rm in cash, they said it was clean, the apartment wasn't the same, don't know, other floors, other owners, the same or not
