This hotel is a bit far from the Huangguoshu Waterfall scenic area, but you can enjoy views of Baling River Bridge from your room. The pool is quite photogenic, and the hotel offers a rich array of activities. In the afternoon, there's a rice noodle roll making experience, followed by goodnight desserts, a tea ceremony around a stove, and even a singer performing. Overall, the experience was great. As for minor drawbacks, there were a few issues. For instance, the sink faucet in the room was designed too high, the shower's overhead spray had very low water pressure, the light on the vanity mirror was faulty, and the bedside lamp plug was loose. These small details could definitely be improved. However, the staff were warm and proactive. Also, the parking lot is about a 200-meter downhill walk from the hotel. Only luggage carts are available for bags. If you're traveling with elderly guests who need to walk, I'd suggest providing a shuttle service that can transport people!

Guest UserAt the beginning of the month, my travel companion, “Peking Duck” (my child), and I explored four small cities in Guizhou – Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, and Xingyi. We thoroughly experienced the karst landscapes, caves, waterfalls, and pastoral scenery, all in a comfortably cool climate. Here's a comprehensive guide to share with everyone!
⭕️ Guizhou Geological Museum (reservations required, closed on Mondays, last admission at 4 PM): You can book a guided tour with fossil restoration activities, which is very interesting.
⭕️ Qingyun Market: A great place to eat and explore (definitely try Guiyang's Sour Soup Hotpot – the flavor is unique compared to other regions).
⭕️ Yelang Valley (watch Nuo opera, two shows daily: 12:00-12:30 PM and 3:00-3:30 PM. Kids who enjoy crafts can try plant carving).
⭕️ I personally don't recommend Zhijin Cave for families with young children or the elderly! However, Zhijin Grand Canyon is highly recommended. Enter via the elevator, and the entire route is a downhill walk, making it very lazy-friendly. The scenic beauty is truly impressive and worth a visit!
⭕️ Guizhou Guanling National Fossil Group Geological Park (the fossil digging area is open, but the museum area will open in late July).
⭕️ Huangguoshu Waterfall (‼️ Water Curtain Cave requires reservations and raincoats are a must!). For a lazy-friendly approach: take the round-trip elevator and capture a panoramic shot from above. If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can skip Tianxing Bridge; seeing the main waterfall is breathtaking enough! And a shout-out to the park staff – every restroom is spotless, some even have toilet seat covers!
⭕️ Fenglin Buyi (consider going in the evening when the lights are on – the scenery is even more beautiful. You can experience Buyi culture, songs and dances, iron flower performances, and other unique shows. There are many fun NPC mini-games in the scenic area. Watching the iron flower show from a boat offers a more direct and spectacular view).
⭕️ Kids will absolutely love a full day at Wanfenglin! Fishing, mini-train rides, woodworking, tie-dyeing, fruit picking, making Ciba (sticky rice cakes), and so much more – they'll never want to leave! When they get tired, relaxing at a popular cafe is pure bliss!
⭕️ Maling River Canyon (known as 'the most beautiful scar on Earth.' The scenic area closes at 5:30 PM. For an aerial view, navigate to 'Maling River Canyon Parking Lot 2').
Tips:
‼️ Guizhou attractions can be physically demanding. If you're traveling with children and have limited stamina, opt for lazy-friendly routes.
‼️ Mornings and evenings are cool, but it can be quite sunny during other times, so bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
‼️ Some attractions require advance reservations, so plan your itinerary accordingly!
‼️ Bring raincoats for Maling River and Huangguoshu, and wear non-slip shoes.
‼️ For Zhijin Cave, avoid wearing long pants or white shoes as it can get muddy! The cave temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket.
Among the hotels we stayed at, 'Peking Duck' loved the Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Manju Hotel the most. It offers many parent-child activities, new facilities, and delicious dining!
We enjoyed a cool summer with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius throughout our trip, without any high-intensity rushing. We experienced city life, majestic gorges and waterfalls, underground marvels, pastoral peak forests, and ethnic minority customs all at once. The best classroom is always on the road; what you see with your own eyes is far more memorable than what you read in books. It’s time to get out there with the kids!

The toilet was a disappointment. Every time I sat down, it would automatically flush and splash water, which felt unhygienic. The Jomoo brand really isn't good enough. However, the floor sensor for the toilet flush was a nice touch.
The mirror light was sensor-activated and kept turning off, which was very inconvenient. I had to keep waving my hand to turn it back on.
The hairdryer, though, was excellent! It's one of the best I've used in a hotel. It dried my hair quickly without getting too hot.
The cleaning staff were very considerate. They noticed I was running low on tissues and toilet paper and left me an extra pack of each.
This morning, I mentioned needing some water for hiking, and in the evening, they left four bottles in my room – very thoughtful. However, when I messaged the front desk to ask for more water, they refused, saying each room was limited to two bottles. Luckily, the front desk attendant was generous and even kindly offered me an umbrella, reminding me it might rain, which was very considerate!

I'm really on vacation ⛱️ I came out with my good friends and wanted to find a place to stay for a day. here! You can spend a whole day in the B&B. The public area is large and very relaxing. The green plants in the store are well maintained and the air quality is great. There are many cherry trees, mulberry trees, and loquat trees in the store. You can pick and eat the fruits yourself, which is full of fun. I also experienced mountain biking. I took some photos while the wind was blowing (mountain roads are not easy to ride on). There is also a place to eat in the B&B, you can order food, and the taste is really good. The facilities in the room are very good and thoughtful. You can see the beautiful mountain view from the room. There are a lot of toiletries, which are very complete. Snack packs are also prepared, and there are a lot of items in the minibar. The service attitude of the housekeeper was also very good. He brought us bags when we were picking cherries. The aunt in the store also took us to pick mulberries and taught us how to climb trees. The guy who came to pick us up was very enthusiastic, and the handsome guy who made cocktails for us in the evening was also very nice, and he made cocktails according to our tastes! Such a treasured B&B and such a treasured resort hotel must be shared! One hundred points 💯!

Guest UserHad a fantastic experience! The scenery was absolutely stunning, and the staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They helped with our luggage and even gave us beautiful sunflowers when we checked in. The swimming pool was super photogenic, and the overall views were breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the waterfall across the way was so refreshing. I'll definitely be back in the summer to take a dip in that pool!

Guest UserThe location is fantastic, right at the entrance of the main waterfall area within the three Huangguoshu Waterfall scenic sections. It's just a short walk to the right after exiting the gate. To the left, there's a 'God's eye view' spot, which saved us a lot of time.
The room was spacious and clean, with complimentary welcome fruits and desserts. The bathroom was huge!
There's also a pool and a swing in the small courtyard, very relaxing.
Even before we left home, we received a call from the hotel's front desk. They were incredibly responsive and helpful in the group chat, answering all our questions quickly. Before our arrival, the staff provided a very detailed itinerary in the chat.
They even gave us a small gift upon checkout, which was a lovely touch!
Thank you to all the staff in the pictures for their excellent service! 🌹

XiaodaiyuanyueThis hotel truly exceeded my expectations – it's a rare find!
I checked in on Dragon Boat Festival. The day before, I had a terrible experience at a certain four-star chain hotel in Guiyang, so I arrived at this hotel around 10 am to check in. To my surprise, they were happy to let me check in so early. During the process, the front desk staff, noticing my two large suitcases, proactively offered to have them sent to my room. This is a service even many five-star hotels no longer offer.
Upon entering the room, I was impressed by its spaciousness, easily over 40 square meters. The Manxin Mansion is nearby, and on the day I stayed, their prices were roughly double that of my room, yet their space likely couldn't compare to mine. The bathroom was unique with a double vanity and a bathtub – a rare design. The size of this room is comparable to the standard rooms in top-tier hotels within Guiyang, like Zhenpo. The bath amenities were the same brand as Pullman's, and even with most five-star hotels now using large, refillable bottles, they still provide individual small bottles, including four, one of which is a body lotion. The hand soap was also from the same brand. The drinking water was from Guizhou Hotel, which looked much better than the mineral water found in many chain hotels. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the bed size was also quite generous for a hotel of this caliber. The comb was of high quality, the kind you can reuse. The toothpaste provided with the toothbrush was Suke, which is a rare premium at this price point. They even thoughtfully provided a disposable bath liner for the bathtub, and the bathtub faucet was also perfect. The tea bags were a branded selection, and I even received complimentary welcome fruit.
Due to personal reasons, I didn't get to try breakfast, so I won't comment on it extensively. However, given the excellent condition of the room, I believe the breakfast wouldn't disappoint either.
As a hotel located within a scenic area, it's incredibly close to the entrance of Huangguoshu Waterfall. There are also many restaurants nearby, so dinner is never an issue. Honestly, I have to wonder, can a hotel at this price point really make a profit?
Immediately after checking in, I recommended this hotel to my friends. At this price, I don't think any other hotel can compare.

Guest UserBooked two rooms! Highly recommend ~ comfortable rooms, attentive service, and a convenient location! We had a lot of luggage from our road trip, and they thoughtfully helped us load it into the car. You should try the tea in the hotel lobby, it's delicious. They even refilled our hot water kettle, which was very much appreciated ~ The location near the scenic area is also super convenient ~ there's a VIP service that picks you up and drops you off at the hotel! Walking to the nearby Zangxiangge restaurant for a meal is also a great option!

kakizhong1. The room had an unpleasant smell, as if the room had not been ventilated after renovation. I told the staff and they said they were used to it and that if you couldn't stand it, just spray some air freshener. I went to another room and smelled it, and the smell was even more pungent. The staff sneaked away before the problem was solved. When I took out my clothes to wash the next day, my pajamas smelled like the rest of the room. It is recommended to stay with caution if you have children.
2. There were people smoking in the hotel's breakfast restaurant, and there was no staff supervising it. I asked the three staff members on duty at the front desk, and they said that smoking was not prohibited in the restaurant. At the same time, they also said that I could write it in the review.
3. The clothes hanging rope in the shower room will fall down when one piece of clothing is hung on it, and will slide into a V-shape and pile up together when two or more pieces of clothing are hung on it.
4. There are only about 10 underground parking spaces in the hotel. If you arrive late, you will have to park on the ground.
5. No coffee for breakfast
6. The toilet is separated from the room by an opaque glass, but the room can see the figure of the person using the toilet, which is very embarrassing
Summary: Not recommended

Guest UserCame to Huangguoshu Waterfall with friends and chose the Four Points by Sheraton, which exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and green, very quiet and relaxing, perfect for a vacation. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the facilities are well-maintained. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to and from the visitor center, saving us the hassle of taking a taxi. The staff were friendly and attentive. It's suitable for both exploring the scenic area and simply relaxing. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.
