Choosing the Past & Present Hotel for my Yangshuo trip was absolutely the right decision! It's right by the Yulong River, so when you open the window, you're greeted by mountains and flowing water, with bamboo rafts drifting past – it's like living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. The room was clean and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering an incredible view. The bedding was soft, the toiletries smelled lovely, and the Dyson hairdryer was a definite plus. The housekeeper was attentive and always available when needed, without being intrusive. The breakfast was varied and delicious, especially the Guilin rice noodles. In the evening, they even offer a complimentary sweet soup. The infinity pool and large lawn are perfect for photos. The location is both quiet and convenient, with free parking. My entire stay was relaxing and rejuvenating. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Yangshuo. Highly recommend!

I was incredibly satisfied with the ground-floor room that came with a courtyard. You can walk right out onto the lawn and by the pool, and the view of the mountains is absolutely stunning and so relaxing. The rooftop is also great for photos! The restaurant food was good too. A special shout-out to Shishi, one of the staff members – she was absolutely wonderful and provided high-quality service. She helped us upgrade to a triple room with a tatami and a courtyard, and even assisted us with booking at their other property, the Lijiang Courtyard (we were so happy with this stay that we decided to continue with their brand in Guilin). 🏔️😱 Don’t know how it was possible, but this hotel was even more beautiful in real life than the photos. Built inside a renovated historic sugar factory, Yangshuo Sugar House combines the refined aesthetics of the mountain landscape with historical architectural elegance. ✨ 🚙🌾 The hotel offers various free and at-cost activities you can book through their concierge. We wanted to go see the Longji Rice Steps during our stay, which is about an 2.5 hour drive away from Yangshuo by car. I messaged the hotel the day before we arrived and they were able to arrange a private driver to take us there and back over an 8 hour trip. Mr. Qin was amazing and very kind! He took us directly to buy the tickets and then drove us to the entrance point of the cable car. There was pretty extreme rain on the way back and he got us down the mountain very efficiently. It was an extremely memorable day which was only made possible by the hotel’s extraordinary attentive drivers and diligent concierge staff. ⭐️ 🍴The room comes with a daily buffet breakfast, free soft drinks, and fruit. The hotel restaurant is good, but breakfast is really where the food shines. So many delicious options to choose from, and there was adorable panda shaped buns 🐼 📸 The hotel also offers free travel photography on the premises, which takes about 30~ minutes and you receive 5 free photos, with additional available to purchase at 50 yuan. It was fun and very efficient! 🌸 Overall, a major highlight of our China trip & we wish we had stayed longer. Thank you again!

Traveling around the world experiencing many luxury hotels. I can say for sure this hotel was the best out of all. The staff are very polite and thoughtful. The cleanliness was amazing. The scenery is beyond imagination. From inside the hotel you have access to so many different farms and Natural landscape areas. The management of the hotel was very considerate. We got stuck far away the hotel due to heavy rainfall and they quickly send us the hotel staff to pick us up for free. Amazing all i can say. They also give free photography at scenic areas around the hotel. The photographer was very nice young lady which will never forget “Her name Cici”. Kayson, Icey, Meyling, amazing staffs of the hotel. I feel like i have found great friends while staying at this comfortable hotel. I will return for sure. They also gave us a gift on check out. 100% recommend this hotel for family and friends. I am specially grateful for the extra care we received from the manager (yè zi (Leaf)), her professional behavior made everything so comfortable and pleasant.

The hot spring pools on the mountainside, coupled with the distant green peaks, are absolutely stunning. The rooftop infinity pool and Moon Mountain create a picturesque scene. The 270-degree panoramic mountain and water views are incredible! Plus, there's a free shuttle service to the pier for bamboo rafting, which was a fantastic experience. I'll definitely be back! The hotel also offered a complimentary travel photography session, and the service was excellent, producing some truly beautiful photos. Ten out of ten!

Highly recommend Jiyun Shangyuan, it's the top choice for a family vacation in the Ten-Mile Gallery! The entire house features panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to gaze directly at the karst peaks from your bed. The family rooms come with a children's tent and a full set of kids' amenities. The bathroom is clean and includes a scenic bathtub. The hotel also boasts a children's playground and a mountain-and-water swimming pool. The second-floor restaurant offers breathtaking views, and the breakfast rice noodles are authentic. Guests can also enjoy free Zhuang ethnic costume photo opportunities and experience making embroidered balls. The butler service is attentive and discreet. Away from the hustle and bustle of West Street, it's perfect for a relaxing getaway with the kids.

Such a satisfying stay in Yangshuo! It's within walking distance to West Street, and relatively close to the Ten-Mile Gallery and Guilin Romance Park, making it super convenient for taxis, self-driving, or rental cars. The room was very spacious and stylish, with a balcony directly overlooking the beautiful river and mountain views. The bedding was comfortable, and everything was clean. The hotel also has a 'Sky Mirror' viewing platform on the 9th floor, which is fantastic for photos! Hotel facilities include a restaurant, gym, outdoor pool, and a kids' play area, making it perfect for family trips. The breakfast offers a wide variety of Chinese and Western options, with the Guilin rice noodles and wontons being particularly good. We also enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea with friends!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tui Blue. It’s out of the hustle and bustle of West street, but only a 12yen didi there. The views are stunning, including of the romance park across the street. Front desk staff were so kind. Breakfast every morning had both Chinese and western options, including fresh noodles being made to order. This hotel takes great pride in their cleanliness and design. Room was amazing. Great views. Great air conditioning. Very comfortable bed. Great water pressure from the shower. Free mini fridge for the first round of drinks, and tea and coffee in the room. Our few things where we would recommend improvements to the hotel: - There was no working AC in the gym. - Gym should have some lighter weights too. - Gym needs a mirror. - Pool towels should be available by the pool. (Unsure if they normally are.. we went out in the rain so possibly during sun they have these readily available). - some small things need to be maintained. (Gym wall leak with mold present, painting around windows peeling off, outdoor plant maintenance, pool tidy of chairs and ensure pool inflatables are actually blown up.These small things aren’t really noticed by everybody, however as a travel agent myself it is what sets luxury hotels apart from others). Overall a really great stay. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is super convenient for getting around, and having its own parking lot means zero stress if you're driving. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with all the amenities you could ask for. Plus, each room has a private balcony where you can wake up to stunning views of rolling mountains and the lake – it's incredibly soothing and refreshing. The hotel's facilities are really thoughtful, too. The breakfast buffet offers a great variety, and they even have a dedicated shuttle service to and from West Street. The staff are attentive and provide excellent service, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and elegant. It's perfect whether you're traveling with family or friends. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Yangshuo!
