"The family room was very spacious, and they provided a baby cot, which is a huge plus for families with infants. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent; it's about a 10-minute walk to Elephant Trunk Hill, and right next to it are Dongxi Alley and the pedestrian street, making dining very convenient. The Lao Dongjiang rice noodles were really good, and I also recommend trying the glutinous rice balls. The prices in Guilin are incredibly affordable! Just a heads-up: avoid the '40-year-old restaurant' for beer fish that taxi drivers recommend – it's overpriced and not tasty at all."

PPipajiKicking off our spring break, we headed south through Guilin, Yangshuo, Nanning, and Beihai. Yangshuo Wangjianglou Inn was by far the most comfortable and convenient place we stayed. The inn's design and layout exceeded my expectations; the quality was truly impressive. Given the limitations of the building itself, they ingeniously installed a luggage elevator, which was incredibly thoughtful for both guests and staff – big thumbs up! Yangshuo county is quite small, so there's really no need to stay directly in the scenic area (it's inconvenient, overpriced, and you'd need taxis for meals and transportation, adding to costs). Staying in the West Street commercial district was a very smart decision. We stayed and ate at Wangjianglou (for those who know, their restaurant is a super popular, must-try spot in Yangshuo with long queues!). As a guest, you don't have to wait; the front desk concierge helps with reservations directly, and you even get a 10% discount on meals, which is a fantastic deal. I'm already planning to bring my family back after May Day and will definitely be staying at Wangjianglou again!

Because I rarely stay in B&Bs, I was quite concerned about the hygiene of this hotel. But it truly exceeded all my expectations. The cleanliness was impeccable, absolutely on par with high-end five-star hotels. All the toiletries were Acqua di Parma, and the citrus scent was delightful. The bedding was comfortable, with just the right firmness, and the duvet was perfectly weighted – very thoughtful details. The service was superb; from the moment I parked my car, staff members were there to help with luggage and even hold an umbrella. There were plenty of parking spaces, and branded EV chargers were available. Before heading out, the front desk would arrange electric scooter rentals, delivered right to the hotel entrance. The complimentary drinks at the front desk, complete with ice, were always available – truly, having stayed in hotels both domestically and internationally, the convenience and overall experience here are top-tier. There aren't many rooms, so service is prompt, and the soundproofing is excellent. The views were astonishing from the moment I walked in.
Every single detail was fantastic, making this one of the warmest hotel experiences I've ever had. It was so great, I'd genuinely love to extend my stay if I had the time. It's so good that if I ever bring my children and elderly parents, I will absolutely, without a doubt, choose this place again.
I hope they continue to thrive and their business prospers! I heard they're opening in Chongzuo, and I'll definitely visit if I get the chance.

QQihuyoutianxiaThe location is great, making it easy to arrange transportation. It's right at the end point of the bamboo raft cruise, so you arrive directly at the hotel. It's the first hotel in the village and has several restaurants nearby. The environment is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and lush greenery, with a Yulong River tributary flowing right in front. The hotel even offers electric scooters for exploring the Ten-Mile Gallery. Both the hotel and the rooms are very new, clean, and well-equipped. The service is excellent and attentive; all the staff are polite and greet you warmly. They deliver a fruit platter, nuts, and candied fruit to your room daily and proactively helped us plan our itinerary. The breakfast is delicious, and the 5th-floor restaurant offers the best views. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. I've stayed in many great guesthouses in recent years, but this one is probably my favorite, and the price is reasonable.

JJoytotheworldsgWe had a wonderful stay at SYYF Holiday Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and thoughtful, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. Every day, we received a different Chinese dessert delivered to our rooms and thoughtfully stored in the fridge, along with afternoon tea treats.
The hotel also offered a fantastic range of activities, including dumpling-making and massage stick workshops, which added a special touch to our stay. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in providing information about Yangshuo and recommending places to visit. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was included with our stay and featured an extensive selection of both local and international dishes.
The chargeable dinner was equally enjoyable, offering authentic local flavors prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

GGuest UserThis villa is absolutely amazing, the entire design is just my style. There are projectors both upstairs and downstairs, which is such a thoughtful touch, and the landlady even specifically bought a vanity table. The location is also fantastic, a 15-minute drive to the town, and just a 10-minute walk to the Yulong River Old County Pier.
I especially have to rave about the hotel bar! The landlady personally mixes drinks for you, and the cocktails are genuinely delicious. She used to be a bartender in Chengdu, and her drinks are even better than ones I've had in Hong Kong! Plus, the bar's decor is really cool, with an American record vibe. I really urge the owners to promote the bar more! The landlady even gave me a free bartending lesson – a truly unique experience!
And the room was spotlessly clean with a beautiful view!

GGuest UserStaying at this hotel during my trip was an absolutely fantastic experience! It's easy to find and not far from the main attractions. The room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room had good soundproofing. The bed was exceptionally large, giving me the best night's sleep I've had in Guilin. I haven't fallen asleep before midnight in ages, but I did this time! The staff were friendly and polite, showing us to our room and even giving us mosquito repellent when we checked out, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious – I was very impressed. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. It was a comfortable and hassle-free stay, a great choice for any trip. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting!

She told me everything about the history of the hotel and I bought the book!!!! I dream of building a hotel in Russia!!! And this trip was a great inspiration for me!!!!! GGuest User”Extra-Large Bathtub” doesn't even begin to describe how incredibly large this bathtub was. It was more like a swimming pool. I was in heaven. I loved this hotel, the desk staff don't speak any English but they have these little ai-translation hand held devices (picture a dictaphone that translates) and are extremely helpful with a can-do attitude. I had some urgent documents I needed delivering and the staff were beyond helpful with that, I am very grateful to them. Also upon check-in they bumped me up to a suite (I didn't ask they were just being nice) and holy moly what a room. It was fabulous. The styling of this place is very old colonial palace vibes, I know they have some history displays up relating to the war but I didn't look into it, but it had a very classic airy vibe with traditional furniture and styling and I loved it. Some elements are a bit careworn and showing their age, but everything was immaculately clean. So, yes some elements like the carpeting may have seen better days but it's due to age rather than lack of attention, everything that mattered was sparkling. My shower could have fit about 5 people in there, and the bathtub another 6, so that was a real highlight, but the location was superb as well, it is on a private little resort island right next to the lake where the pagodas and bridges are. There is an easy access exit gate to the lakes, however I think it was run by the other hotel on the island because my key card didn't work late at night, however I must admit I had had a few and maybe wasn't the most able bodied reviewer in that moment. I recommend asking the staff because each night after the lake show with the performance and music lots of families were coming in that back way, so it's definitely possible I was just un-prepared. Regardless, even if you get locked out it's a short walk around to the other side of the island and the gatemen are very friendly. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel although it is not technically run by the hotel which just means it closes slightly earlier (much later than anywhere in Europe still), and when I went in the staff were just sitting around so I wasn't sure if they were open, but when they saw me they sprang into life and actually the older ladies spoke quite a lot of English and were very chatty and friendly, and they also have an iPad with an English ordering app so it is a breeze eating there. The food was very high quality and delicious, it was more expensive than eating in town but I would not say over priced given how good it was. The bar in the hotel is also nice. You can get delivery food brought directly to your room which is also excellent. They don't have room service food but why would you bother when delivery is available. The hotel has a private drive way so getting picked up for excursions or Didi rides is so easy, and the area is beautifully quiet and there are lots of birds. It is very close to all the attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill, which makes doing things (or retreating home due to the fearsome heat) very easy. I will warn you the hotel is nicely airy in the way old villas in Europe are, but because of that your air conditioning will never match that kind of incredible ice cold blast you might be familiar with in Hong Kong. Obviously, this is a very small problem when you can easily cool off in the mega-bath or mega-shower or just sit at a comfortable level of air conditioning, but if you are the kind of foreign traveller who is unaccustomed to the strong heat just be aware that this is a vintage place so you won't be able to whack the AC down to 15c and freeze yourself for relief. I really recommend this hotel, it was absolutely lovely. Oh also there is a lovely jovial old man who comes round in the evening to deliver you milk at bedtime every day, what a guy.
