YouxiandeyunThe hotel's location right by the Li River is quite peaceful, which I prefer over the noisy West Street area since I'm a light sleeper. I really appreciate that the front desk upgraded my room type. It's not far from West Street pedestrian street either, offering a quiet escape while still being convenient, almost like being on a backstreet in the countryside. The hotel also has its own restaurant where I ate both my meals; the food was delicious and good value for money, plus guests get a 10% discount. After dinner, a stroll along the river is lovely and relaxing, with locals also out for walks. You can get some great photos of the river and mountain views from the hotel's rooftop. They also offer self-service laundry and drying, which is super handy given how rainy and humid the weather can be here. All the staff, including housekeeping and restaurant servers, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Anonymous UserThe floor-to-ceiling window in the room offered an absolutely stunning view. Opening the window revealed the green mountains and the Yulong River, making for incredible photos.
I specifically chose this hotel for the window view and the swimming pool, and my child absolutely loved it upon arrival.
**Environment:** A thousand square meters of lawn plus an infinity pool. The mountain-and-water themed blue pool was perfect for amazing pictures.
**Activities:** Free-roaming deer, daily cormorant fishing performances, lacquer fan making, and petting zoo feeding.
**Food & Stay:** With its own restaurant, we spent the whole day at the hotel and didn't bother eating out. The hotel food was also excellent, and they even offered free sweet soup in the evening.
It was a welcome escape from the noise of crowded guesthouses. The hotel buildings were well-equipped, and the soft furnishings, with their wooden and Instagrammable style, were top-notch.
There was no need to rush. We spent the whole day leisurely, relaxing on the lawn, playing in the pool, and feeding the deer. It felt like many hotels and cafes in Yangshuo have great aesthetics, and the scenery is beautiful, but the street aesthetics are truly dismal.
This was my child's first travel photoshoot. Usually, they refuse to be photographed, but the Miao ethnic costumes for the photoshoot at the hotel were beautiful and relatively clean, so we were able to get some great shots right there. Thumbs up! The shoot was quick, which was great since it was hot, allowing us to quickly get our photos and head back to the hotel for coffee.

Guest UserI randomly picked the Seasons Cloud Hotel for my vacation in Guilin Yangshuo, and it exceeded all my expectations! It's such a peaceful retreat in the heart of the bustling town.
The floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows in the room offer direct views of the karst peaks; you can enjoy the mountain scenery and misty clouds right from your bed. The soaking tub with a mountain view creates an incredibly atmospheric bathing experience. The entire room is spotless and has a light luxury feel, with thoughtful details and amenities.
The infinity pool, a popular photo spot, is nestled among the mountains, making every picture look like it's from a luxury resort advertisement.
The amenities are fantastic: check-in includes a complimentary afternoon tea, and the breakfast features freshly made, authentic Guilin rice noodles. They also have a huge kids' play area and a self-service laundry room, which is perfect for families traveling with children, allowing everyone to truly relax. The butler service is meticulous and attentive. Plus, you can rent electric bikes to explore the Yulong River and Ten-Mile Gallery, making it very convenient to get to all the attractions.

MahamHThis hotel was such a pleasure to stay at, everything was so we'll taken care of, no request was too much, the staff went above and beyond for me especially Icey and Kayson, a special Thank you to you. The scenery from the restaurant at the first floor is legendary, it's almost like your sitting in the center of Guilins lap and of course the hospitality is first class. Thank you again for everything

Rihanna000Staying here felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese landscape painting, and the 270-degree panoramic view was absolutely breathtaking! The cantilevered hot spring was perfect for soaking away all my fatigue, the service was attentive, and it was a fantastic spot for photos. There's no need to think about anything here; just spending the whole day relaxing is the ultimate vacation. The hotel also offers a complimentary travel photoshoot, which turned out great, and the photographer was excellent. Highly recommend!

Guest UserPoised in mountains and waters, nestled in clouds – an exceptional stay at Jiyun Shangyuan Resort Hotel by the Yulong River.
First things first: More than just accommodation, it's a destination.
Yangshuo boasts countless hotels, but Jiyun Shangyuan is an utterly underrated 'heavenly guesthouse'. This stay offered a complete cure for the senses – visual, taste, and soul. It’s truly a perfect hotel with no flaws!
Reason for a perfect score one: Divine views that 'frame' the karst landscape into your room.
The hotel is located in the heart of the Ten-Mile Gallery, far from the hustle and bustle of West Street, enjoying its own tranquil space.
Our room featured a floor-to-ceiling glass window spanning an entire wall. Honestly, photos don't capture even a tenth of its beauty! The misty green hills of the Yulong River unfold before you like a dynamic IMAX movie. It truly lives up to 'open the window to a view, sleep under the moon, and wake with the sunrise'. Lying in bed gazing at the mountains and waters, or watching stars from the balcony bathtub – this ultimate sense of relaxation is something no other scenic spot along the Li River can offer.
Reason for a perfect score two: Heartfelt service that treats guests like 'family'.
The service here could easily be a textbook example for the industry. If 10 is a perfect score, I'd give it 100 points.
From the butler's proactive contact after booking to the warm reception upon arrival, the entire process was smiling and efficient. When the Li River was flooding, the butler constantly reminded us to be safe. When our child wanted local fruit, the butler thoughtfully provided some. After playing in the water, our clothes got wet, and there's a self-service laundry room. We even forgot our clothes in the laundry, and the butler kindly delivered them to our room. This feeling of 'everything is handled, every need is met' is truly more touching than the standardized service of a five-star hotel.
Reason for a perfect score three: Culinary delights and high-end amenities.
Regarding dining, the Chinese breakfast offered authentic Guilin rice noodles, while the Western breakfast perfectly blended with Lipu taro and pumpkin. The afternoon tea was exquisite, and the coffee at Cloud Restaurant was top-notch, with the Basque cheesecake being unforgettable. The lighting in the restaurant also helps for great photos.
In terms of amenities, the hotel spared no expense: King Koil mattresses, Kohler sanitary ware, Dyson hairdryers, and even a thoughtful self-service laundry room. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, showing attention to detail. It offers the warmth of a guesthouse while maintaining five-star hotel hardware standards.
Reason for a perfect score four: Immersive local cultural experiences.
This place isn't just selling scenery; it's dedicated to sharing culture. The hotel is filled with Zhuang elements. Beyond beautiful decor, you can also enjoy free photo shoots in traditional Zhuang attire. Against the backdrop of the infinity pool and the mountains, every shot looks like a magazine cover.
Furthermore, activities like hand-sewing embroidered balls and making oil tea kept both adults and children engaged. Families with kids don't need to worry about boredom, as the children's playground and pool are enough to tire out the little 'beasts'.
Final thoughts: We'll be back.
Our stay happened during heavy rain, but after the rain cleared, the scenery was even more beautiful. Regardless of the weather, Jiyun possesses a different charm. We even felt a little reluctant to leave. Just like its name suggests, there's an ethereal, otherworldly quality here, yet it's filled with the warmth of home.
If you come to Yangshuo, you must 'waste' your time at Jiyun Shangyuan.
Tips:
· We recommend booking a panoramic room type or a family room for the best views.
· Definitely try the hotel's electric bicycle rental; the Ten-Mile Gallery is right at the doorstep.
· The hotel is very close to the Yulong River rafting (Shuidi section), within walking distance, which is very convenient.

Guest UserIt is the second time I stay in this hotel and I love it very much. I returned this time to bring my mother here!
The hotel's location is great, by the river and close to nature. There are the waterlily ponds around the hotel and you can hear the delightful little frogs croaking at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful with all requests, and the hotel's interior is clean and beautifully designed. The pool is also very pleasant, as are the many activities offered here, and you can rent a scooter easily for convenient transport around.ation is great, by the river and close to nature. This stay didn't quite live up to the Shangri-La brand standard.
When I returned to the hotel, my room door wouldn't open. The front desk confirmed my key card was working, and a staff member accompanied me upstairs, only to discover a faulty door lock. The entire process took nearly an hour. On the positive side, the duty manager later intervened, arranged for me to relax in the executive lounge, and moved me to a different room, all while being very apologetic and professional.
However, I believe the hotel's emergency response could be improved. If the door lock couldn't be fixed quickly, why wasn't a room change offered sooner, instead of making me wait for almost an hour? Additionally, there were noticeable signs of repair or tampering around the faulty door lock, which made me wonder if similar issues had occurred before. I hope the hotel thoroughly inspects all relevant rooms, rather than just fixing the immediate problem.
After moving rooms, I also found an insect, possibly a rove beetle, on the pillow. I was too tired to report it at the time. Furthermore, the shower area only had a handheld showerhead and no overhead one. For this price point and brand, the amenities felt a bit lacking.
While the duty manager's service was commendable, there's still room for improvement in terms of facility maintenance, emergency response efficiency, room cleanliness, and some of the hardware provisions.

Guest UserI came here with my friends during the summer holiday, specifically for their restaurant which is on the must-try list. While waiting for a table, we found out they also have guest rooms. Hotel guests get a 10% discount and priority seating, so after seeing the rooms, we decisively booked one. Honestly, both their restaurant and guest rooms are excellent. The summer prices were also very reasonable, and the staff were all very polite and enthusiastic. It was our first time in Yangshuo, and they even recommended some fun attractions. The hotel can also book tickets for various scenic spots, so it felt like we didn't really need to plan our route much as they had everything sorted for us. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I bring my family next time. It's very close to the riverside and West Street, both within walking distance. The main thing is, their restaurant is truly amazing! Don't miss it if you come to Yangshuo!
