"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Guilin and would highly recommend it to international travelers. The rooms are exceptionally clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is thoughtfully designed and well-maintained, and you can really feel the attention to detail throughout the property.
What stood out most was the service—staff were attentive, helpful, and went beyond our expectations to meet every need quickly and efficiently. Communication was smooth, even for international guests, which made the entire stay stress-free.
A lovely bonus was the Italian-style coffee machine located downstairs, which served excellent coffee and made mornings even better.
Overall, a fantastic experience and excellent value. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Guilin."

"This hotel is right in the city center. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, giving us tips on local attractions and recommending great restaurants. They even upgraded our room for free! The room itself was comfortable with a great dry-wet separation in the bathroom. It's super close to Elephant Trunk Hill and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, both within walking distance. Plus, there's a street food alley right downstairs – very convenient!"

"The environment here is really great! The lady at the front desk saw we had two large suitcases and even upgraded our room. The hygiene is excellent, and there's a full-length mirror. I especially loved the large window that made the room so bright during the day. I was surprised to find a scale, and the slippers were even individually sealed. They offer laundry and drying service; you just hand your clothes to the front desk, and they'll take care of it. Plus, they gave us a late check-out. The hotel is also super close to the scenic spots, easily reachable by foot or a shared bike. I highly recommend it to everyone!"

It uses a lot of stones, logs and ceramic tiles and walls full of texture to make the whole closer to nature. The soft and bright color selection uses the blue of the sea and the white of the beach for reference. Olive green and desert yellow are added locally to create a romantic and comfortable color atmosphere. The restaurant of the hotel selects the fresh ingredients of the season, and uses nutritious and delicious Mediterranean food to help health. Both business travelers and families staying in leisure travel can enjoy a leisurely life and embrace a pleasant time. A total of 98 boutique guest rooms facing lake view, river view, etc. are elaborately built. The rooms are spacious and bright, with super large floor glass windows and super wide viewing terrace. The landmark river view room has a panoramic view. With a wide view, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Lijiang River and the amazing scenery of two rivers and four lakes! "We love this hotel. Balcony was so good we spent a lot of time there.
This hotel is next to Sheraton and to be honest, it looks much better. Aircon was cranking. Breakfast is simple but can accomodate Westerner without any issue.
Only note is that the shower is not very hot. But it was probably because we were in Guilin in end of May, which is hot, so maybe the hotel set the water temperature to be mild. Not sure.
Overall it was a great stay."

JJingcaixiaoyaojingThe room was quite spacious and had a balcony with a glimpse of the Li River, which was a pleasant surprise. The room facilities were well-planned and functional. The inn's decor was stylish, with a Chinese aesthetic that made every photo-op Instagram-worthy – perfect for ladies in traditional outfits. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and spoke excellent English, which explains the high number of foreign guests and the great atmosphere. Their ground-floor restaurant has been on the 'must-eat' list for several years running and is very famous and popular locally, with long queues every day – definitely give it a try. Hotel guests get a 10% discount, and remember to ask the front desk to arrange a table for you to skip the queue, otherwise, you'll be waiting forever.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right near the Longtoushan Pier, where boats depart from Guilin to Yangshuo. From my room, I could see the Li River, and there's a rooftop platform for even better river views, framed by the distant mountains – it's incredibly picturesque and perfect for photos.
The room was spacious, quiet, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. For business travelers, the laundry and fitness facilities on the fifth floor public area are very convenient.
Breakfast offers a good variety of Chinese and Western options, including delicious freshly prepared Guilin rice noodles, which are even better than those you find on the street.
The hotel staff were very service-oriented; the front desk provided a lot of useful information when I asked for travel tips.
Personally, I think the Lijiang Grand is a top choice in Yangshuo, considering its views, proximity to shopping, and overall convenience.

GGuest UserThe view from Room 01 in Building 6 is absolutely stunning, with expansive vistas. I found myself wanting to stay in the hotel all day! The service was excellent; the butler would inform us daily about activities and snacks, and even helped deliver takeout to our room. It's newly renovated, so the room environment is great, with smart facilities and excellent hygiene. The location isn't its strongest point, as there aren't many food options nearby, but getting around by taxi is actually quite convenient. It's only about a fifteen-minute drive to West Street, making dinner plans easy. Breakfast was average – nothing special, but no complaints either. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended! Oh, and a big plus: the hotel didn't push for good reviews in exchange for gifts at checkout.

The room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, the bed alone deserves a five-star review!
What really made this stay unforgettable was the level of service. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything I needed, offering helpful local recommendations and making us feel genuinely cared for.
The location is another huge highlight. It’s perfectly situated and close enough to everything you need, yet peaceful and quiet, making it ideal for relaxation. Whether you're exploring nearby attractions or just unwinding, it’s the perfect accommodation.

GGuest UserMy trip to Yangshuo with my mom was made perfect by choosing the Fada Hotel. The owner has excellent taste, having built this hotel in such a scenic spot. I saw a phrase during breakfast, 'contemplation leads to enlightenment,' which I guess explains the name Fada Hotel. Plus, the young lady who checked us in at the front desk was lovely. The hotel windows offer a landscape painting view, and there's one spot with a view that makes you think of a fairyland.
The Half-Mountain Cafe is full of young girls taking photos, and of course, old 'aunties' like me. Personally, I found the infinity pool below to be the most relaxing. There's a shuttle service always available to take you from the accommodation area to the public areas. All in all, this is a highly recommended hotel, and I think it's a must-stay when visiting Yangshuo. Additionally, the hotel has a partnered travel photography service that offers three free photos, and the young man who helped us with photo selection later was great.

First things first: More than just accommodation, it's a destination.
Yangshuo boasts countless hotels, but Jiyun Shangyuan is an utterly underrated 'heavenly guesthouse'. This stay offered a complete cure for the senses – visual, taste, and soul. It’s truly a perfect hotel with no flaws!
Reason for a perfect score one: Divine views that 'frame' the karst landscape into your room.
The hotel is located in the heart of the Ten-Mile Gallery, far from the hustle and bustle of West Street, enjoying its own tranquil space.
Our room featured a floor-to-ceiling glass window spanning an entire wall. Honestly, photos don't capture even a tenth of its beauty! The misty green hills of the Yulong River unfold before you like a dynamic IMAX movie. It truly lives up to 'open the window to a view, sleep under the moon, and wake with the sunrise'. Lying in bed gazing at the mountains and waters, or watching stars from the balcony bathtub – this ultimate sense of relaxation is something no other scenic spot along the Li River can offer.
Reason for a perfect score two: Heartfelt service that treats guests like 'family'.
The service here could easily be a textbook example for the industry. If 10 is a perfect score, I'd give it 100 points.
From the butler's proactive contact after booking to the warm reception upon arrival, the entire process was smiling and efficient. When the Li River was flooding, the butler constantly reminded us to be safe. When our child wanted local fruit, the butler thoughtfully provided some. After playing in the water, our clothes got wet, and there's a self-service laundry room. We even forgot our clothes in the laundry, and the butler kindly delivered them to our room. This feeling of 'everything is handled, every need is met' is truly more touching than the standardized service of a five-star hotel.
Reason for a perfect score three: Culinary delights and high-end amenities.
Regarding dining, the Chinese breakfast offered authentic Guilin rice noodles, while the Western breakfast perfectly blended with Lipu taro and pumpkin. The afternoon tea was exquisite, and the coffee at Cloud Restaurant was top-notch, with the Basque cheesecake being unforgettable. The lighting in the restaurant also helps for great photos.
In terms of amenities, the hotel spared no expense: King Koil mattresses, Kohler sanitary ware, Dyson hairdryers, and even a thoughtful self-service laundry room. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, showing attention to detail. It offers the warmth of a guesthouse while maintaining five-star hotel hardware standards.
Reason for a perfect score four: Immersive local cultural experiences.
This place isn't just selling scenery; it's dedicated to sharing culture. The hotel is filled with Zhuang elements. Beyond beautiful decor, you can also enjoy free photo shoots in traditional Zhuang attire. Against the backdrop of the infinity pool and the mountains, every shot looks like a magazine cover.
Furthermore, activities like hand-sewing embroidered balls and making oil tea kept both adults and children engaged. Families with kids don't need to worry about boredom, as the children's playground and pool are enough to tire out the little 'beasts'.
Final thoughts: We'll be back.
Our stay happened during heavy rain, but after the rain cleared, the scenery was even more beautiful. Regardless of the weather, Jiyun possesses a different charm. We even felt a little reluctant to leave. Just like its name suggests, there's an ethereal, otherworldly quality here, yet it's filled with the warmth of home.
If you come to Yangshuo, you must 'waste' your time at Jiyun Shangyuan.
Tips:
· We recommend booking a panoramic room type or a family room for the best views.
· Definitely try the hotel's electric bicycle rental; the Ten-Mile Gallery is right at the doorstep.
· The hotel is very close to the Yulong River rafting (Shuidi section), within walking distance, which is very convenient.

LLvxingfashaoyouxiongbaobaoGuilin Shangri-La, I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely love it!! Is Guilin Shangri-La old? No! While it's a bit older, every single facility is incredibly well-maintained! And the food? Even better!
Perhaps my experience is limited, but my 6-year-old and I have traveled to 129 cities, and the variety and taste of the food in Guilin Shangri-La's Horizon Club (executive lounge) are super, super, super abundant!!
The breakfast is also fantastic, and the Chinese food at Shang Palace is too!!! We stayed here for three days and ate our way through the entire Shangri-La from top to bottom!!
The spa, gym, and pool are all super, super excellent!
