Hotel near Balaclava,Mauritius
Spread over twenty acres of lush sub tropical gardens; The Oberoi Beach Resort Mauritius offers views of breathtaking sunsets and night skies bursting with stars. Magnificent accommodation with traditional thatched roofs. Unique restaurants serving authentic Creole and international cuisines. And a Touching Senses programme of daily cultural and mindfulness activities. All complemented by our warm intuitive hospitality.

"The Oberoi Mauritius has been by far the best hotel that we have stayed, this comment is made based on traveling across the world and not limited to travels in Mauritius. The staff paid careful attention to satisfying our every need and personal food requests that were happily accommodated by the hotel’s chef. Having fallen ill while traveling, the hotel doctor was readily available for a consult and prescribed medication within a timely manner. The visit to the spa was relaxing and all rooms were well-maintained. The therapist was able to provide treatments on our individual needs. The room was beautifully decorated with a private pool and garden, this meant that we were lucky enough to have our breakfast with a magnificent sea view🌊. Overall a true five star ⭐️ hotel that delivers an exceptional experience to its guests. Well done Oberoi Team⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Amazing
GGuest UserLet's talk about it from a few conveniences Facilities: three restaurants, two swimming pools, one of which is heated. The breakfast in the main restaurant is quite exquisite, and the food I ate for three days has not changed. The floating restaurant for dinner is very interesting and tastes good. It's just a little cold (it was winter when I went there). The spa is good and worth experiencing. I didn't try golf and shooting. It's a pity that there is no snorkeling activity. Sanitation: Very good, your room can be cleaned twice a day, and you will be asked at 7 o'clock in the evening if you want to tidy up the room and send you more water. Very good. Environment: This is too cozy to say. Service: This is very good, much better than the five-star hotels in the island cities in China, probably because of the enthusiasm of Africans. If you have to say the disadvantages, the hotel is very good, but it is a little old. The creaking sound of the floor in the room is very loud, and I am worried about waking up my companions when I get up at night.

AAilierThe kitchen can cook, super convenient, the butler's very intimate service gave us a detailed introduction to the suitable stay, there is a washing machine, swimming pool, there is a supermarket nearby, we all cook by ourselves, convenient and easy. It is close to the Casella Zoo and whale chasing dolphins.

JJintiantiaoshiwuxiaA very good stay experience. The service level, breakfast quality, view, and house layout all exceeded expectations. The hotel also provides free parking and many marine entertainment activities, such as snorkeling, paddleboarding, etc. I look forward to staying here again.

KKarenRats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

It is definitely a paradise for food and food. For those who need to travel early every day, we have specially opened breakfast from 4:00-7:00, and the service is first class. If there is Chinese service, it is perfect.

NNick FilinA good hotel with a beautiful and well-designed area. A spacious beach where turtles swim. Breakfast is quite uniform, but there is everything.  Convenient entrance to water, beach clean. You can take a cayak for rent free. Defects: lunch and dinner are expensive if not all on. The hotel is quite old.  In general, we liked: A picturesque beach, a benign staff, lucky to see turtles in the ocean.

GGuest UserThe environment is first-class, quiet, close to restaurants and supermarkets. Facing the coast, it is very comfortable. There is a grill, a kitchen, and prepare seafood and steak by yourself. It is close to the beach and enjoys great water play. The service attitude is good. Although there is no elevator, there is a big security guard to help with luggage.

GGuest UserAnantara is a very beautiful resort. Decor is top notch and comfortable. The staff provides excellent service and assistance is always available. The resort is a beach front property with a lot of activities. This property is amazing and you won’t go wrong by choosing it. Yusef , Cintia, Karim, Sharonne, Paul, and many more of the staff ( I’m bad with names) , will attend to all your needs.

TTarynAn amazing hotel right on the water with every room facing the water. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. Beautiful big rooms with lovely balconies. The dinner and breakfast were also really good, with a great variety and a lovely outdoor area to sit at. I do however think the cleaning staff need to take a bit more care when cleaning. We were there for 6 nights and 3 of the nights we had to phone housekeeping because we did not have towels, or we did not get toilet paper, or we did not get our bath robes… and then housekeeping took at least 20-30minutes to bring the items. The other thing was that they put a single duvet into a double duvet - so when you are sleeping there are many times when you only have a sheet and no duvet. Maybe change that. Otherwise I really can’t complain about anything. There are plenty of beach chairs and there were always chairs available and it was an amazing and relaxing place.

HHuyaniuniuVery satisfied with the hotel. You don't need to get off the car when you drive to the hotel. The staff will take you to the room for check-in. The swimming pool in the room faces the sea and the scenery is beautiful. The room is very large with 2 bedrooms, and the 2 of us have never been to one of the houses. The scenery of the hotel is very good, few people are very clean, and the service is very good. Because I am not used to eating, I chose buffet for dinner for a few days, which is not bad. The hotel has an exclusive beach on the opposite side of Kashima, and it is very convenient to have a car and boat transfer. The hotel has a beautiful golf course, and the novice Xiaobai played for a while at the driving range for free, which felt good. Overall very satisfied, recommended
