Amazing
BBennyBenBenStayed for 8 nights at Sala Samui Choengmon Beach Resort. The villa had its own private pool. Very cozy and nice. The breakfast each morning was really nice. There’s a buffet and you also get one a la carte item for breakfast to go with your buffet. So really good. Staff were super friendly and nice. The hotel evening meals were not so good. Nearby restaurants were way better and much better priced. I wished the food was super good for lunch and dinner as it would have been perfect, but unfortunately, the Thai dishes were a bit sub par, over priced and even beers and cocktails were double or triple what you pay elsewhere. Pool staff were friendly and helpful, but I wish the food and drinks at restaurant and bar were reasonably priced so we could have enjoyed it more. Nearby restaurants offer better experience. Mr Eung restaurant nearby had the best food for that area. A short drive to the best restaurant on the island called Supatrra will show you what you wish the resort had. If the manager of the Sala resort went over there and learnt a thing or two about dining then the resort could be greatly improved. Anyway, resort was nice, just the lunch and dinner needs some attention. Good location, clean and tidy. Shower gel and soaps were not the best so had to buy some outside. Don’t forget your mosquito spray. Overall, a nice experience and very relaxing, just wish the food was better. Fun stuff to do nearby, football golf, Thai cooking class, go kart racing, reggae bar, paddle ball courts, tourist shopping at night market, kickboxing show. We hired a scooter, as it’s not really walking distance to anything but a short scooter ride will get you around the island.

GGuest UserMy partner and I stayed at Marasca Samui for 11 nights. The hotel is quite new, built around 2024, and it truly feels like a quiet oasis in the bustling heart of Chaweng, right next to the clubs. We absolutely loved the well-maintained green pathway leading to the beach and the cozy lounge area, which was genuinely comfortable for spending time. The food in the lounge area was excellent and varied. The hotel is beachfront, with direct access to the sand, but it's important to be aware of the tides: the beach can noticeably shrink or almost disappear at times. The sea is usually very calm. The rooms are comfortable, with good air conditioning, making for a pleasant sleep; if you go to bed before midnight, earplugs might occasionally come in handy – they are provided in the room. As for improvements, the sun lounger mattresses and towels sometimes had stains, so better cleanliness would be appreciated. Otherwise, our stay was excellent, and we'd gladly return.

GGuest UserThe hotel facilities are pretty good, and the rooms are standard. Breakfast offers a wide variety. However, the executive lounge's light meals and drinks are inferior in variety and quality compared to the Hyatt Bali. The biggest drawback of this hotel is the beach. It's not fine sand but rather a mix of pebbles and rocks. Firstly, it's almost impossible to walk barefoot on the beach, and secondly, swimming isn't an option. This hotel is not suitable for families who enjoy playing on sandy beaches or need to swim in the sea.

SSom RI spent a week at Cape Fahn, a private island resort in Thailand, and it was unforgettable. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the views were breathtaking. Dining at Long Dtai restaurant was a highlight, with exceptional Southern Thai cuisine and fresh seafood. The serene atmosphere and excellent service made my stay delightful. I can't wait to return for my next vacation.

SStephy007Another Amari disappointing stay. first was amari hua hin and 2nd is this hotel. stayed in amari koh samui for 4nights, we just got back from koh samui a few days ago. location wise sure cant deny that, it's by the beach front, 5 mins drive away from central koh samui mall and walking from the night life but so does other resorts around the area. when you get to the hotel specially after paying so much per night and to be classified as a 5 star hotel, you expect a good service, a 5 star service. Specially when the first point of contact to the customer service is the front staffs, however very disappointing. Most, if not all of the staffs doesnt seem to smile at all. We arrived early so we had lunch first and sure they managed to give us earlier check in at almost 2pm, their check in is at 3pm. we let it go perhaps we were just too tired and sensitive as we just arrived in koh samui and it was humid, however, throughout our stay their customer service was absolutely lacking. VERY LACKING. specially a few staffs driving the buggy service, we even had an accident one time when we were on our way back to the room, one of the driver drove so fast, THEY ALL DRIVE REALLY FAST, and he rammed onto one of the on coming buggy, i was holding my baby so tight. luckily nothing happened to us. same buggy driver who was had a grumpy look the entire stay and we saw him throwing luggages on to the buggy instead of handling them with care. so when you are taking a buggy, tell them to drive slow. the room, we booked a connecting room, which was a mistake. booking 2 rooms would have been cheaper but anyhow, the room was not clean at all, the bathtub was moldy the floors felt dirty and there were alot of mosquitos every single day. first day we arrived we killed 10 mosquitos in one room whats up with that. breakfast had good selections, they have 3 pools around the resorts as it is a big resort best one is the one over looking the beach, kid friendly pool. they have kids room, not that big just a small room.. anyway overall would i come back here in Amari Koh Samui, absolutely NOT. Would i recommend amari koh samui, absolutely NOT. if you want to stay in a beach front, there are alot of beach front resorts near amari and around the area check that out.. they did something nice from my baby;s birthday, decorated the mirror and gave cake so i appreciated that. with kids i would recommend hyatt koh samui, they are friendlier to kids and service is top notch. we moved there after amari THANK GOODNESS

GGuest UserGreat for photos, everywhere is beautiful with very thoughtful design. There are mysterious little trinkets everywhere. The cliffside restaurant is absolutely stunning, perfect for sunset, though we didn't get one. The male manager there was great to chat with, super friendly and made the experience really enjoyable. The beaches are numerous and very private, really nice and give a sense of adventure. Big thumbs up for the pool! Swam for ages, barely anyone there, and it's long and beautiful. Lots of Chinese guests, haha. The charming front desk lady was very efficient. However, the air conditioning was very loud. Even on the lowest setting, it was still very cold and noisy. The balcony design was quite interesting, but it's not a villa.

GGuest UserI highly recommend staying in a beachfront room or higher if you choose this hotel; other room types are not worth it (the square in the picture is beachfront, and even the 'beautiful sea view' room we stayed in for one night wasn't great). I also wouldn't recommend staying during the rainy season. The only time this hotel feels worth it is when you're in a beachfront room with an unobstructed sea view. The common areas are very limited, we didn't even check them out and don't know if there's a beach. The room facilities feel quite dated, the breakfast was very mediocre, and the service was just okay. However, on a sunny day, the beachfront rooms with their direct sea views and the rooftop sea view restaurant can make the stay worthwhile. The main meals at the restaurant were good.

GGuest UserGarrya Tongsai Bay Samui is one of those places that stays with you. What really makes the difference is the people. The service is excellent, but more importantly, it feels sincere. The staff are genuinely kind, always smiling, always present, and somehow they manage to make everything feel easy and natural. You never feel rushed or overlooked, just quietly taken care of. Special thanks to ”mamy” the fruit lady at breakfast that is a pure expression of joy and the Yoga and Muay Thai instructor. The facilities are beautiful and very well maintained, but without feeling stiff or overdesigned. Everything works, everything feels comfortable, and there’s a calmness to the whole place that makes you slow down almost without noticing. Rooms, pools, spa, restaurants, all of it feels thoughtfully done. The setting is something special. Surrounded by greenery and right on a peaceful bay, it feels private, quiet, and deeply connected to nature. You hear the sea, the wind in the trees, and very little else. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax. Nothing here feels forced or flashy. It’s just consistently good, warm, and balanced. A place you leave feeling better than when you arrived. Can't wait to be back to this special place.

DDaxielidenvhanziThe room facilities are a bit dated, but that's a minor point. There's a dedicated staff to deliver luggage, and they don't demand tips, which is nice. The front desk also has Chinese-speaking staff, which is very helpful. There's a Chinese restaurant right across the road from the hotel, perfect for Chinese palates. The sand on the beach is incredibly white and fine, like flour. Right next door is the popular '网红洞穴spa' (internet-famous cave spa). Our room had direct access to an outdoor pool, which is absolutely picture-perfect. At night, the sky is full of stars, super healing. Highly recommended!
