Homestays in Koh Samui

The room is very stylish and cute, with a lovely seaside atmosphere. It was clean and smelled nice. There were no bathrobes, but slippers were provided. The room also had a refrigerator, microwave, and hairdryer. The shower temperature was difficult to adjust—it was either cold or extremely hot. One thing I really appreciated was the powerful ventilation fan in the bathroom. Hotels without proper bathroom ventilation can get very humid, so this was a big plus. Unfortunately, there was construction work going on next door, and workers were constantly walking around, so I had no choice but to keep the curtains closed. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from outside. If you are sensitive to insects, please be aware that I encountered a few bugs during my stay. There is also a restaurant on the property where you can enjoy a wide variety of delicious food. The view is beautiful as well, and despite the construction, I would definitely like to come back again.

It’s a nice experience for me to stay at this hotel which has a very elegant environment, clean suite rooms and a beautiful garden. The owner is very kind and generous to guests.

I had a really good stay at Tree Monkey Hostel. The room felt comfortable and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower facilities were clean and easy to use. I also liked that you can choose between hot and cold water anytime - simple but very practical. It’s a pretty basic setup, but in a good way - it covers all the essentials without feeling like anything is missing. For me, it was more than enough. One of the highlights was the staff. The woman handling check-in was very friendly and welcoming. Even though her English isn’t perfect, communication was still easy. She’s very accommodating and always tries to help or find a solution, which I really appreciated. The location is also great, with restaurants nearby and the beach within easy reach, so it’s very convenient overall. One thing to mention is that there were some drain flies in the room. That said, they didn’t bother me much - especially at night when sleeping, I barely noticed them. It might be something to keep in mind, but for me personally it wasn’t a big issue. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay with very friendly and helpful service.

Stayed for 3 nights as a solo traveler. The yoga caves are small but very pretty, modern and clean. No ensuite but the toilets and showers are 10m from the rooms and very clean -- still...not the most fun to get up in the middle of the night. 3-4 yoga classes each day and really impressed that the teaching is quite advanced. Classes have a whole range of skills ability, most people seem fairly beginner. The complementary Cafe breakfast is incredibly yummy (scrambled tofu!) and filling, and such a view! In 3 days / a shorter stay you probably won't talk to anyone, people are smiley and friendly but don't engage beyond that.

Everything is at the highest level, next to the hotel is everything you need - shops, markets, massage, travel agencies, etc. Friendly and always helpful staff, especially the administrator. Incredibly beautiful pool, 2 minutes to the sea. Delicious cafe at the hotel.

Can't speak highly enough of this place. Lovely family run place right on the beach. Great food and really chill vibe. Suits families with young kids and older people. No TV in the room but we weren't there to watch TV. The landlady let my boys play with some beach toys for free. The bar/restaurant doesn't play music so I was able to play away on my Ukelele a little and it (no music, not my Ukelele) actually adds to the relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back next year.

A good location to spend a night on the way between Chaweng and Lamai, close to Coral Cove. You'll need a motorbike or a car to get around though. The staff allowed me to do an early check-in early and a late check-out. The view from the room is great. The biggest downside of the stay was the water pressure in the shower, which is super low. Also, there was some sand in the bed, and the blanket didn't have any cover.

The accommodation is quite private, separated into houses, but there is no parking and the access is quite complicated. However, the room is clean, spacious, has a living room and separate bedroom. The amenities are set up for use and complete. It is suitable for the price.

Quiet and amazing place to relax just a few steps from your door to the beach. Delicious restaurant. So kindly staff! Once I’m back to Samui, I’m going to stay there again, for sure!

We checked out of our other accommodation and we only booked this as a day stay because our flight was late in the evening. It's definitely for backpackers and party people. This is a turnaround place for boat trips and transport to the party island where they have the full moon party. The room was OK for a day stay for us to chill and get ready for our flight. Cannot complain for 14 pounds.
