"A perfect stay with a beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, and views that go beyond amazing. Pool was large and welcoming with lots of shaded seating . We loved the beach in front of the hotel and swam in the warm waters. Breakfasts were delicious and presented beautifully. Staff were kind, friendly and served all needs and the ladies doing the room were sweet. The town is close with lots of easy parking and filled with wonderful restaurants and opportunities to stroll about."

"We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. It’s set in a beautiful garden and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the simplicity of our standard room. It was traditional and Italian and was spotlessly clean and spacious. It had lots of worktop space for placing our belongings. The bathroom was a good size too, with a hairdryer and a good shower. The room and towels were cleaned daily. Immaculate! Breakfast was lovely - the coffee fantastic and beautiful cakes and pastries, fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, bread etc. The pool was lovely - clean, very quiet and relaxing. There’s also parking within the hotel grounds and the Wi-Fi was good. The hotel’s private beach is directly across the road, which was so convenient! Each room gets a free umbrella and two sunbeds for the whole stay. There’s also a restaurant on the beach, which was really good and also a lovely place to eat or just to have a drink and a gane of cards at the end of the evening. The private beach was beautiful - the sea clean, calm and so warm. Vieste old town itself is about a 25-minute walk along the seafront, then up the hill into the charming old town. It’s absolutely beautiful, with narrow little streets, steps, many restaurants and amazing sea views. We saw the famous Scalinata dell’Amore too and loved the plentiful fish dishes and the orecchiette pasta and local Raffo beer! We hardly saw any foreign tourists while we were there. Only Italians. It made the whole place feel very authentic - we loved it. (The only challenging part of visiting Vieste was the last 50 mins or so of the car journey towards Vieste from Bari - with its very windy road, full of hairpin bends. Not for the faint hearted! This made us think twice about leaving Vieste for day trips.) Excellent value for money. We really loved our time here and would definitely come back. Puglia is beautiful. Highly recommended!"

"What started out as a 2 night stay was extended to 4 nights (prior to arriving) and what a wonderful time we had. Enjoyable wine tasting and the purchase of good quality wine that they make hit the spot along with an enjoyable and variable breakfast, set outside near the pool and olive trees. As the weather was warm we were able to make us of the sparkling clear pool and sun lounges most afternoons. The hosts and staff were very attentive and the bed soft and comfortable. A great stay."

"Room was simple but nice, the rooftop terrace had an unbelievable view! The breakfast was better than you would expect of most Italian places and the location was perfect. Parking was a little walk away but not too expensive. If you have time for it, you might be able to find better options that we did. Overall a really good hotel with good value for money."

Relais la Pretura

"The pictures are fair, the hotel is conveniently located at the foot of the old town, and you can wander the whole place by foot. We took a double room with sea view. The room was nice and clean. Zero luxury. Beds OK. Small shower box but excellent shower. The wi-fi did not work in the master bedroom. We called the manager, and by the way he said he was going to call maintenance “tomorrow” we clearly understood he was aware for the problem, but unwilling to tackle it. Breakfast was fair, overall a good experience. Just be careful because the hotel is on the upper floor of a building so you have quite a steep staircase to go up. No parking on the premises."
