The room was sufficient for a solo traveler, though the bathroom felt a bit cramped. The soundproofing was decent; even with construction going on outside during the day, closing the window significantly reduced the noise. Overall, it was quite good. The TV had screen casting, and the hotel's location right on Chaoyang Street was fantastic, just about 100 meters from Yantai Mountain.滨海 Square was another two to three hundred meters further, making it incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were also very welcoming. I definitely recommend it!

The service was terrible. Nobody greeted me when I walked in; I stood there waiting for two minutes. Then, after presenting my ID for check-in, they didn't return my ID with the room card. I had to ask for it back. Later, I got to my room on the 7th floor, only to find the room card wouldn't open the door. I went back downstairs to talk to the front desk, and they blamed it on a system issue. I have to wonder, is this really how Home Inn's system works? Was this a check-in error? After finally getting into my room, I ordered takeout. The delivery sat in the lobby for over ten minutes without being brought up. I called the front desk from the room phone, and no one answered. I then called the hotel on my cell phone, and the attitude was awful. They said they were busy and even blamed the delivery driver for not bringing it up. Excuse me, but can't our hotel's takeout orders be brought to the room? Then they told me if I was in a hurry, I could go down and get it myself. Is this really front desk service? When I brought up the issue with the room card not working again, they again insisted it was a system problem and that their operation was correct. I seriously question if Home Inn's system is truly like this.
