Hotels in Yantai with sea view​

Initially, I was a bit hesitant about the value for money, seeing the price tag of 600-700 yuan. After trying another hotel in between and having a poor experience, I eventually decided to stay here. The hotel's facilities are a little dated, but the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Compared to many newly renovated hotels, which, despite their fresh decor, often lack a personal touch, this place feels very homely. The cold water supply in the room was stable, and the air conditioning, a key concern in summer, provided excellent cooling. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive, and they even gave me a small souvenir upon check-out – thoughtful details that made a difference. The location is superb, directly facing Fisherman's Wharf with expansive views. After dinner, it's just a two-minute walk to the seaside. Although there's no sandy beach, enjoying the sea breeze and the night view is very pleasant. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, making dining out very convenient. On a side note, regarding the hotel's rental service: the Hello small electric scooters are only suitable for single riders. For families with children, they're not practical, and self-driving would be a better option. The buffet breakfast was decent; it was enough to fill up, and the variety was better than budget chain hotels, though it still falls short compared to high-end star hotels. A minor drawback: the hotel has limited children's play facilities, and not many leisure options for families with kids. I hope they can improve and upgrade these in the future. Overall, the service is excellent, the views are outstanding, and it's perfect for a seaside vacation in Yantai. Highly recommended.

Booked two sea-view suites with balconies, and they indeed had quite large balconies with beautiful views morning and night. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's kept very clean. The hotel breakfast was just okay, but filling. There was no shower enclosure in the room, and getting in and out of the bathtub was inconvenient, making me worried about slipping. The toiletries (which should be placed near the tub, otherwise you're halfway through your shower only to realize you don't have any, then have to climb out of the tub to get them from the sink drawer – that's really not practical!) lacked conditioner, which should be an easy fix! Overall, it was still a good experience, especially the location. With Yantai Mountain behind and Chaoyang Street in front, you get a panoramic view of Yantai's coastline.

Tracy was great, always ready to help with any request. We stayed in a family room with an ocean view, which was lovely. The 1.8-meter bed was spacious enough for me and my child, and there was a smaller bed for my husband. The room had a 'Frozen' theme, complete with a little doll for decoration. The best part was the bathtub – my child loves baths, though we only used it once during our three-day stay. It felt a bit wasteful that we only went to the beach once, considering we were right by the sea. The hotel is conveniently located near Chaoyang Street and Hongkousuo Ancient City; all three attractions are within walking distance from the hotel entrance. It's a shame we didn't explore further afield, with Fisherman's Wharf being the furthest we considered going.

This stay exceeded my expectations! From check-in, the front desk staff, ZOEY, was warm and efficient, and even proactively introduced the hotel facilities and local dining options. The whole process was seamless. I paid to upgrade to a sea-view room, and it was a true oceanfront room. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed the entire sea, with an unbeatable panoramic view. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the soundproofing was excellent. I slept soundly until morning, lulled by the sound of the waves, and all my travel fatigue simply melted away. The facilities were well-maintained, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were of high quality; attention to detail was evident everywhere. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, and the freshly cooked local specialty noodles tasted authentic, plus the freshly squeezed juices were delicious. The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Strolling along the coast in the evening, enjoying the sea breeze, was incredibly relaxing. The heated pool and gym facilities were also comprehensive, making for a truly immersive vacation experience. Five-star rating, I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

The room had a Japanese-style light wood decor, which isn't the contemporary look of newer Sheratons. However, the sea view revealed after opening the curtains was absolutely stunning, giving off a 'Little Kamakura' vibe. It's also not far from 'Lonely Whale' and 'Time Tower.' I visited the Hilton, Marriott, and Golden Beach Sheraton. The first two might have newer rooms and lobbies than the Sheraton, but for direct access to the beach and sea, the Sheraton was by far the most convenient. I had the buffet lunch at the hotel, and the price was quite reasonable compared to Beijing, with good quality salmon. The spicy lamb spine hotpot was delicious, and so was the cheesecake. The grilled items could use some improvement; if they're not freshly grilled and eaten immediately, the taste significantly declines, so I hope the hotel can address this. Overall, both the service and the views are well worth a five-star rating!

My stay at Marriott Yantai was incredibly satisfying. I was lucky enough to catch amazing weather – clear skies, and a vast, pristine ocean. The sea view was absolutely stunning! Sitting on the room balcony, enjoying the sea breeze, the expansive view created a truly relaxing and holiday-like atmosphere. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Koala from the front desk. Her service was exceptionally warm, check-in was efficient and smooth, and she was quick to respond to any issues during my stay. Her attitude was kind and friendly. The hotel's overall environment is comfortable, and the rooms are clean and tidy. It's very close to the beach, so you can easily take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the sea. Overall, my stay was very pleasant, making it a great choice for a vacation in Yantai. The experience was fantastic, and I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. I chose the Central Hotel for my dad's follow-up hospital visit, and this old-school hotel definitely lives up to its reputation. Every staff member at the front desk was fantastic; they had our room reserved in advance, so check-in was instant! The two concierges were incredibly responsible, surprising us with different little treats every day – so thoughtful and caring! The restaurant staff were very welcoming, and the cleaning auntie was diligent, tidying up our room promptly every day. All in all, the Central Hotel's service is so dedicated, which clearly shows their management is five-star. Thank you!

This is my second stay at this hotel, and both times have been great. The hotel environment is beautiful, and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The Chinese restaurant's food is also very tasty. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all very dedicated and provide excellent service. You can walk to see the sunrise in just five minutes. The room facilities are clean and well-equipped. I'll definitely be back next time.

Every time I visit, I stay here. The rooms and the overall environment are pretty good. Of course, that's because the price point is also reflected in the quality. All in all, it offers good value for money, and I'm quite satisfied.

This hotel should be one of the best on the island at present. The location is excellent. The hotel is built on the sea cliff. The environment is quiet and comfortable. The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is rich. Lying on the bed, stretching your legs to watch the sea and listening to the waves, sitting on the balcony smoking cigarettes and drinking tea to watch the sunset. -On the first floor, I watched the sea with food, and on the second floor, I tasted coffee and listened to the waves. What's better is that the service is considerate and thoughtful, responsive, and the front desk lady leads you to the room when you check in, warm like home.
