Hotels in Tiergarten, Berlin

This is a very affordable 2 star hotel and it certainly feels like it. They provide the bare minimum and not much more. Our stay was OK with some disappointments. The biggest problem was the bathroom. Bathroom floor was filthy and there was quite a large amount of visible black mold on the walls. Also the area was quite shady and we didn't feel safe walking around in the evening. Service was OK and the breakfast was fine compared to the price. Air conditioning worked well. Over all an average stay but we probably would not stay here again.

We stayed in Berlin for 3 nights and could not be happier about our stay at Pestana Berlin Tiergarten. The hotel is located within walking distance to all major attractions and you can easily rent a bike or an electric scooter to go anywhere in the city. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome at all times. The room was simple but beautifully decorated and offered all the comodities, including a TV that allows you to connect with your electronic devices (it helps when you don't speak german). The swimming pool is a great option for a relaxing time after a long day in the city. And the breakfast... best baked pastries I have had in a hotel in a while. Not underbaked, not overbaked, just perfect! Will definitely come back.

I stayed one night at the Quentin XL during a business trip in November. The hotel looks good from the outside and the interior is modern and fancy. However...during check in I got a keycard to room 126. I had 30 minutes to prepare for a dinner with business colleagues. Went upstairs...card didn’t work so I went down again. Man in reception gave me new card without apology. I went up again....same story. Down again, no apology, up again and now with the staff member...did not work. Down again! At this point, when he was planning the fourth trip up stairs I lost my patience and demanded a new room. I got a new room but after this negative check-in experience I was not satisfied. Needless to say I was late for my dinner.

I like this place, I always live here every time I go to Berlin! Good location, there are several supermarkets nearby, kdv is also very close, very quiet, the park is on the side!

Me and my daughters stayed for three nights and were quit pleased with our stay. The rooms were clean and nice, staff welcoming, polite and helpful. All of us thought the breakfast was nice, even the vegan one, we bought her an own oatmilk though to have to cerals and tea. One thing to improve is the number and position of poweroutlets and the wifi, wifi worked fine in the reception/room for breakfast on bottom floor but was miserable on 2nd. We also missed a hairdrier that were mentioned in the booking, but I guess we just could have asked the receptionist for it. Perfect location, close to both bus and subway. We only need a nice, not too expensive hotel, not too far from the heart of the city, culture and shopping when we travel, and this was perfect for our stay.

This was our second time at this hotel and I just want to say what an outstanding stay it was. From the check in at reception to the amazing staff to the rooms and to everything else, it was excellent. This hotel only gets better and better. Keep the service up. All of the service was excellent. I am not mentioning names as there will be to many names to mention and every single member of staff was lovely. I will recommend it to everyone I know going to the Berlin. It is a feeling of home and I am now sitting back at home, and cannot wait for our next time.

I have stayed in the beautiful Novotel Berlin am Tiergarten for a business Meeting and extended my stay for visiting Berlin. The Hotel is the perfect combination of a business and leisure Hotel. The breakfast (especially for vegeterians/ vegans!!) offers a huge selection and the Riesling at the Bar is delicious. The staff I had contact with in various departments is just outrageously friendly and I really felt at home. The location of the Hotel is just perfect if you want to have a quick run in the morning with the huge Tiergarten Park right in front and with the train Station also in front you can travel anywhere super quick and convenient. The Spa Area was bigger than I have imagined, including a Gym, a Sauna, Steam Bath and a really huge outdoor sun terrace. I will definitely visit this Hotel again when I travel to Berlin. For me personally- my best Hotel stay ever.

The good news is that the Illy coffee from the Illy machine in the bedroom is superb. All the rest is bad, and worse. Marriott seems to believe that lots of marble in the bathrooms is the most important ingredient in making a good hotel. They're wrong. The key to running a good hotel is service. And the service at the Hotel Berlin Central District is awful. As usual, my wife and I are traveling for both business and pleasure -- conferences in London and Berlin, a week of tourism in the wilds of Brittany, and a week of seeing friends, visiting art galleries, etc., in Paris. So we are traveling heavy. We need to carry a lot of clothing -- plus the tools for doing business -- multiple laptops, other communications equipment, etc. When we arrived at the hotel, there was absolutely nobody to help us get our stuff from the taxi into the hotel. In fact, during the entire week we were there, there never was anybody in front of the hotel to help anybody with anything -- including when we left. There is no concierge service. We asked the people at the reception desk to help us on a number of concierge-type issues. They were totally untrained to do so. For example, the first night we were there, we asked for recommendations for a restaurant outside the hotel -- within walking distance. We were given a map, with a circle drawn around an area near Potsdamer Platz. We walked there and found a collection of fast-food joints, such as Burger King, and a couple of pizzerias. She might have asked us if that was what we had in mind. It wasn't. On another occasion, I asked for help in finding a pharmacy. It took the lady about 20 minutes to find the name of a pharmacy and to print out a Google map showing Potsdamer Platz, with an arrow showing where the pharmacy was supposed to be. I wandered around the area for a bit, found nothing, and asked a taxi driver who was parked in a queue. He stared at the map, pulled out his cell-phone, plugged in the German word for ”apothecary”, and showed me where it was. The arrow was in the wrong place. On a number of occasions, I tried to call the reception desk from our room. Nobody ever answered the phone -- with one exception. After ten minutes of waiting, somebody picked up the phone -- and immediately hung up on me. Once again, the Illy coffee is brilliant. But the first day we were there, we were provided two capsules of regular coffee and two capsules of de-caffinated. My wife and I both like real coffee and lots of it. So we asked the people at reception to tell whomever that we would much prefer getting four capsules of real coffee. We also left a note (in German) for the cleaning crew telling them the same thing. The next day we got two capsules of real coffee and two of decaffeinated. I reminded the lady at reception. The following day, we got two capsules of decafinated and one of real coffee. And things got worse from there. After a couple of days, we ran out of Kleenex tissues in the bath room. I left the

Except toiletries and slippers are not provided. I stayed for three days and only had a bottle of water outside one day. The room is big and the location is next to a river. Taxi rides from various attractions will cost no more than 20 yuan. It’s about 70 yuan to the airport.

We arrived to a friendly welcome at this lovely hotel . Excellent room, well appointed with a modern ensuite bathroom . Breakfast was a well laid out buffet with plenty of choice . Staff were once again very friendly and courteous with pots of tea or coffee served at the table . The hotel was well placed for sightseeing Berlin and we would thoroughly recommend it if that is the purpose of your visit . The foyer has a unique and fascinating light display which is a lovely feature to watch in the evening with a quiet drink . We understand that there is a pool and gym facility but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit that section of the hotel during our three night stay .
