Hotels in Tiergarten, Berlin

The hotel was generally nice, given its price and location, but the stuff on the reception was quite rude at the day of our check-in — it was really uncomfortable to communicate with a person who looked forward to shortchange us, because previously in our communication with the hotel there was one price for early check-in, while at the counter it actually doubled. And, obviously, we got a room with not such a nice view as could be seen in the hotel’s photos — just lots of rooftops. Overall, the stuff was unprofessional, despite a gentleman at the check-out was pretty welcoming. About the other points, the cleaning was great, there was a huge bed and a nice bathtub. However, what was confusing is the fact that AC did not work either at the whole time of our stay, which is a common problem, judging by the reviews. Breakfast was good, a wide variety of options, including vegetarian ones.

It's 2026, and the hotel still requires you to call the front desk to order two free bottles of water daily and wait for a waiter to bring them up. Even asking for slippers or water from the service cart in the hallway is useless; you have to call to order. After cleaning the room, you should just put the water back in, but no, you still have to call. Such a simple thing is made into a huge fuss. German efficiency truly reflects its pervasive sluggishness. Even a small matter is turned into a royal decree, everyone is too busy, it's completely pointless. Is it because prices are too high that they're so frugal? But the hotel's location is good, so I guess guest satisfaction doesn't really matter.

Stayed 5 nights. Hotel in quiet street currently without through traffic as building work going on at the end of the road. Close to bus stop for 200 - we walked from main station through Tiergarden which took 45 minutes! Very close to Tiergarden (we heard nightingales) , 10 minutes from zoo. Room had microwave, kettle, fridge and stove, ask at reception if you needs plates or pots etc.. Reception closes at around 10.30pm, very helpful friendly guy. There is a lift. Didn't try cafe for breakfast as seemed pricey. There are a few tables and chairs out the front so can bring your own beer and sit outside of an evening. Enjoyed our stay, and bought travel tickets as it's about 30-40 minutes walk to Brandenberg Gate etc..

Good hotel, reasonable, great location and attentive staff. Breakfast is very generous, so pay for that. room was small, but had a desk and full bathroom and double bed, what else could you ask for. View was a parking lot but it also meant that it was quiet. Hot water pressure and internet speed were both good. Bathroom showed its age a little, but was fine.

Highly recommend this hotel.  Room spotless. Breakfast excellent choices in abundance. U-bahn next door. Charming reception staff. No negatives whatsoever.

Dissappointing... We come here for more than six years, and it goes seamlessly down. In the evening is the sauna neglected, nobody comes to replenish towels and water cups, not to mention that ”renovation” meant the removal of the fridge, which used to offer free soft drinks and bottled water after the saune. Just two sorts of tea (if you can sustain that four kind of black tea means four sorts of tea...). Nobody controls the sauna temperature anymore, one day it was crispy hot, last time one could fall asleep inside... The rooms cannot be heated, just cooled. If you try to turn air condition off, you can´t, and they need the approval of the building´s owner to change the set temperature for the entire hotel. Last time they offered us a heater, now we had to change room for extra charge. All staff seemed overwhelmed with the complaints, except for apologies there is nothing to get in exchange for the wasted time and money... Room keys don´t always work in the elevator or on the floor. Extra coding for the sauna works every now and then. Staff overwhelmed, room orders come very late or not at all. No coffee sets whatsoever.

The bed in this room category was incredibly soft. I suspect it's quite old, as I just sank into it completely, offering absolutely no proper support. I had a terribly uncomfortable night and barely slept at all. I had expected the bedding to be similar to the Marriott in Copenhagen, but this particular bed at the German Marriott was surprisingly uncomfortable. It was nowhere near as comfortable as the twin room I stayed in the following day.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel in Berlin. The hotel was very clean, modern, and well-appointed. My room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All my questions were answered quickly. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great selection. The hotel's location was perfect. Many attractions and public transportation were easily accessible. I can highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again anytime.

Room was OK. Clean at first glance, but otherwise so-so (e.g. completely dusty under the bed, shower head very calcified, unpleasant smell from the bathroom). Very small, you had hardly any room to move around and not in the bathroom anyway, so not suitable for tall people. Overall, it was OK for the price. Definitely suitable for a party holiday in Berlin, less so for a couples holiday. We didn't eat the food.

I requested a high-floor room, and the hotel thankfully accommodated. The room was incredibly spacious with a fantastic view – absolutely perfect, and the service deserves a special mention. The location is super convenient, within walking distance to landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, Sony Center, and Potsdamer Platz. Right in front of the hotel, there's also a section of the Berlin Wall and the ruins of Hotel Esplanade, which survived the war. From my floor, I had easy access to the gym, sauna, and pool. The sauna is a dry sauna, and the pool is quite nice.
