"Novotel is a Novotel. However the steel fence around it, covered in green plastic hides on the ground what you can see from the 4th floor! A seemingly old block of a hotel full of immigrants or refugees, causing hell, fighting sleeping on bench’s uncontrolled. Hotel is very hot too, room 435 has less air-conditioning than a car 30 years ago. So open the window and listen to the refugee camp fighting of a chair etc. Not the best. Breakfast ok, pull out beds are singles so each child gets a bed rather then rolling into each other. However not to be repeated."

Air conditioning was nice during the heatwave but sadly our children were hot upstairs sleeping on the mezzanine level as the air con didn’t reach up there. There was a small fan however, Bedding and bathroom clean. Parking outside was a plus. All in all, perfect for a night’s stopover,"

"I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, both on my own (with moto), and also with a family member (with car). A lovely hotel with secured parking, very modern and clean rooms. Catering is basic, but adequate. The hotel is not in the centre of town, but is conveniently located very close to the train station (Gare). The town is about a 10 minute walk away. There’s also a nice riverside park nearby. I intend to return in 2025 if possible."

"I just left this hotel and I absolutely have to share my experience: I woke up to a spider crawling on my shoulder, turned on the light and found 10 more ready to descend on the bed. Room on the top floor with exposed beams that no one has cleaned in years. I had a nightmare night. Room on the second floor with no elevator so if you have joint problems, forget it, very steep stairs. Basic breakfast with 4 items thrown together. I understand why it's a 2-star... forget it!"
