Torre do Rio
"We stayed at many parador’s and higher end hotels over 2 weeks..but this was bar none the best, service, location, view, property, cozy room, windows, balconies , grounds were breathtaking, cold plunge in the river fed pool, the great care at dinner and breakfast..wow wish we could’ve been here longer..so peaceful.. we slept in and lingered after everyone else left.. didn’t want to go. Absolutely stunning property w stone walls, hydrangeas everywhere, delightful staff.. modern conveniences but so respectful for the past, only place we stayed w proper plugs by the most comfortable bed. Fresh flower in the bath..no detail was over looked . Whoever owns and manages this property should be commended..it’s a special gem!"
Rusticae Casa A Pedreira
"This 10 room country side hotel is located about 4 kilometers outside of Calda de Reis. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The common area was nicely decorated and comfortable. Our room (#2) was big enough, comfortable and quiet. The only minor issue is that it took more than 10 min. for the shower water to heat up.. We also ate dinner at the hotel and the food was very good."
Casal Dos Celenis
"Nice place with very poorly soundproofed comfortable rooms and remorse style decoration. The employee (a charming Dominican) is the only worthwhile thing about the staff. I booked for two nights. During the first one, I informed the employee at 8:10 a.m. that I should leave due to force majeure. The reaction of the manager (I don't know if she was the owner), a certain Chus, was spectacularly virulent, forcing me to pay for both nights and even wanting to charge me for breakfast for the day I wasn't going to be there. The matter is in the hands of the Xunta and surely of Justice. This Chus insulted and threatened my wife to make her pay for both nights. He is a character of medium height and thick build who exudes ordinariness. Whoever decides to stay there, must bear the consequences"
Villa Galicia
"It's a beautiful, peaceful place with a spectacular garden and pool. The rooms are just like the photos, with great mattresses for relaxing. You can book breakfast at an available time, as the peace and relaxation you find here is what characterizes this place. By booking breakfast, I avoided any stress. I always checked availability with the staff beforehand, who were professional and extremely welcoming, helping me with everything I needed. It was definitely a luxurious place at a spectacular price that would be triple the price anywhere abroad. A wonderful experience."
Hotel A Casa Do Rio
"Staff were very considerate and did a brilliant job for me, especially Rotheo (Rocio). Room was great also, very happy with entire experience."
Harpazul
"In a cafe, to get a bite to eat, they approach you right away, even before you sit down. No Marcos, you can tell he's professional. Then you order and things are going well. You ask for a little more sauce with the chips, and that's when things start to go downhill. Then you order another drink. Bad vibes, to be honest. I didn't like the other waiter's audacity, his attitude, his manner, and even his punishment of not clearing the table. It keeps happening, and we were going to have some appetizers. There's a lack of rapport and enthusiasm; he only takes the easy way out."
VÍA XIX
"This hotel was booked by Santiago Ways as part of our Camino travel. What a wonderful, delightful, and clean place after another day of walking! The welcome, rooms, location, and breakfast were all elevated experiences. The location is central, and there is a public warm water foot soaking area nearby. Our dinner was located in a nearby restaurant and was filled with many pilgrims....a fun experience. We would highly recommend this place."
Hotel Pousada Real
"Very good hotel for travellers going to santiago. Highly recommend!"

Hotel Roquiño
"This was a nice surprise on the Camino! Excellent location in town and on back streets with ambiance. Fantastic room. Best on my entire Camino trip with a great bathroom. A really good restaurant on site. Professional reception staff. The best breakfast I had at any of the Camino hotels. I loved the town as well. Well worth having stayed overnight here."
Pensión As Burgas
"Terrible place , host is beyond uneducated , and manipulated a lie . Room was contaminated with cigarette smell , never owned it up , call me lier . I was doing the Camino for a spiritual journey and I wanted to avoid bad energy . Don’t stay there please , they aren’t worth your time . Best"
