If you're like us, a Buddhist traveler who wants to sleep in naturally, then avoid this hotel right away: This is a serious flaw. I'll be a lifelong skeptic, and even the Hanting brand will be blacklisted... We booked three consecutive nights. First and foremost, the room door is not soundproof. We changed rooms once, and the problem persisted, so this is a common problem at this hotel. How soundproofed was it? We could hear someone talking with their door open. Secondly, not only was the door not soundproof, but it also emitted a beeping alarm if it wasn't closed properly or if it was left open for three minutes or longer. So, whether you can get a good night's rest in the morning depends entirely on the quality of the nearby guests. But we were unlucky. On our first day, we encountered a young couple with two children. To allow the children to run around in the hallway, they left the door open and kept pinging from 7 a.m. until they checked out. They refused to close the door, even though we were told to. The next day, two elderly men stayed. They started smoking at 7 a.m. with the door open, and continued to ping from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Not only was there pinging, but the smell of smoke could be smelled in the hallway and even in the elevator. After two days of not getting enough rest, we finally complained to the staff and asked for a room change. The staff responded promptly and provided breakfast as compensation. After changing rooms (to one facing the street), the ”beeping” noise disappeared, but I also discovered a major flaw at Hanting: not just the door itself, but the entire room is completely soundproof. The door itself is definitely nonexistent. We stayed in this room, and we could clearly sense that the parents next door were bringing a child back to their room at 11 PM. The people upstairs were packing their luggage from 11 PM until midnight. The road noise was also very audible. Around midnight, motorcycles would roar through the streets... There were two stray dogs living in the neighborhood next door... While these didn't affect my sleep, the car horns would wake me at 7 AM, forcing me to lie in bed for another hour with my noise-canceling headphones on. I even researched the differences between three-star and four-star hotels and found that the main differences lie in the amenities, dining, and facilities. The room ”soundproofing,” ensuring a good night's sleep, should be the same. I suggest Huazhu investigate the team responsible for the renovation and construction of this hotel, especially the ”soundproofing” (the street-facing hotel doesn't have soundproof windows. It can't even block a dog's barking. Hilarious! Hotels in county towns over a decade old have better soundproofing than this) and the procurement of guest room doors! I'm afraid they'll uncover a massive corruption case...

The hotel has a free laundry room, and it only takes an hour to wash and dry the clothes. It is a bit hot in Dalian in July and August. I sweat a lot when I go out every day, so I can do laundry quickly without delaying my wearing. The hotel's breakfast buffet is 25 yuan per person, which is great, nutritious and healthy, suitable for children. The front desk and cleaning lady are very welcoming. The hotel provides 4 bottles of water every day for free, and if it is not enough, they can give 2 more bottles. It is a 5-8 minute walk to Metro Line 1 and Line 2, making it convenient to visit scenic spots. In some rooms, the sink and bed are in one room, which is sometimes inconvenient. The waiting time for the elevator is a little longer during peak hours, but the stairs are spacious and you can take them if you are in a hurry. It is not very convenient to take a taxi to popular tourist attractions in Dalian. You need to wait for a long time. Especially when returning from popular tourist attractions in the evening, it is difficult to squeeze on the bus. It would be great if there was a subway nearby. Dalian's beaches, such as Xinghai Park, Heishijiao Park, and Yinshatan Park, are mostly composed of coarse sand and reefs, while the sand in Fujiazhuang Park is slightly finer. There is a great spot in Xinghai Park to take photos of the cross-sea bridge. Dalian Beach is characterized by mountains and sea connected, the scenery is better, but the beach is not as fine as that in Rizhao, Shandong. In July and August, it is still a bit hot. It is very sunny between 11-15 o'clock, so you need to take good protection.

The room was clean and tidy, and the hotel's proximity to the subway station made getting around super convenient. The staff were very polite as well. All in all, Hanting was great, Dalian was great, and I'll definitely be back!

It was close to Dalian station and there were lots of shops nearby, which was convenient. I was worried about not being able to get into two hotels in China on the day because they refused to let me in, but this hotel was happy to accept me. The room was also nice and clean.

The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, warmly decorated, and the bedding was soft and comfortable—I slept soundly until morning. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and the toiletries were of good quality. There were also thoughtful touches like snacks and bottled water. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. From check-in at the front desk to room service, everyone was warm, professional, and attentive, making me feel right at home. The breakfast selection was extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options, and the food was delicious. The restaurant was bright and spacious, providing a great dining experience. The location is conveniently located with easy access to transportation, shopping malls, and restaurants. In short, it was a very satisfying stay, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area. I highly recommend it!
