"Couldn't recommend this hotel more... We stayed in the MUSSET room, which was beautifully decorated and very spacious. Every person was very friendly, kind and accommodating. Happy to go above and beyond for their guests. We didn't take advantage of the spa facilities, but even having a drink outside was very relaxing in the very well cared for grounds. Restaurants on site had lovely food so no need to venture out. Rooms and food were all very reasonably priced. 10/10 would return"

"The hotel is in a perfect location at the heart of the village, with parking; ask for directions for best way to access the hotel and avoid very narrow roads - arrival may be tricky. We stayed several nights in the "Jaune" room on the 2nd floor (3rd level for US); no elevator. The bedroom was spacious with a small charming private patio, with a table and chairs, overlooking tile roofs toward the castle, perfect for morning breakfast; the room has a machine to make coffee and tea. The bathroom was on the small side but convenient and well equipped, including a minibar/refrigerator. Caution! there is a step down between the bedroom and the bathroom not obvious to see the first time - could be better marked. To our surprise, the content of the minibar was included in the cost of our room, including a bottle of champagne, beers, water etc. A new bottle of water was offered every day, which was well appreciated during the June heat wave. Wished the refrigerator was a little colder. We would definitely go back to this hotel."

Rooms are comfortable with good quality bathroom toiletries, and comfortable beds either single or double as required. Good working air conditioning too throughout the hotel, together with the Wi-Fi. Cozy small lounge just inside the reception area with excellent furnishings. Christophe and Tomas ensure that nothing is too much trouble for whatever you require at the hotel, or either at breakfast or dinner, which are both first-class. Safe and ample parking, which is a priority for us on a travelling holiday. For me, the ashtrays on nearly every table outside should be more in the background in their beautiful garden. Although our first stay at The Bastide but not to Grignan, which is a lovely characterful small town about 20 mins walk away depending on your fitness/weather, we are intending to return next year, and look forward to enjoying Christophe's and Tomas's untiring hospitality. We wish them continued success. "

"Great hotel that is pet friendly. Needed a place travelling north. Off the motorway, had covered parking and was accepting pets. Rooms were clean and spacious. Decent size bathroom with shower. They offered a pet fee but included a goody bag with poo bags, a toy rope and chew bone."
