The room was clean and sanitary, and the location was convenient. It only took about 5 minutes to get off the highway. The breakfast products were quite rich. There were tour groups that morning and there were a lot of people. Overall quite satisfactory and worth recommending.

This is a recently opened hotel, it is located in an area with easy interconnection and an excellent shopping center and restaurants nearby. The breakfast pleasantly surprised me, since it combines traditional Chinese foods with Western elements, the attention at the front desk, and all the labels are in English. Also easy access from Foshan west train station.

Though this property is old, they have made an effort to upgrade the rooms and provide a comfortable and welcoming experience. I had some issues a few years back with this property and had to check out ahead of time but there is a distinct improvement in staff training, room presentation and cleanliness and the buffet is now impressive. They do cater for a lot of HK tour groups and conference groups which means it is very busy at meal times, but the food offered at the restaurant now is quite good and there’s a large variety to choose from. Check in and service from the Front desk staff has improved and everyone was super helpful and welcoming this time. Earlier visits a year after covid wasn’t so easy and it was obvious that staff were not used to dealing with foreigners- but this seems to have been addressed and staff were professional, efficient and very helpful when needed. Well done Crowne team Foshan!

During my stay, I felt unwell. Fortunately, the hotel staff provided invaluable assistance, for which I am extremely grateful. Recently changed brands name from Marco Polo to Cordis. The change seems to have meant there’s been some focus on improving staff training and they were very professional, attentive and helpful. Well located close to Xintiande and a short walk to local shopping malls and food halls. Rooms are modern and suites spacious- std rooms are a little larger and more modern than the CPlaza down the road and better value for money. Some renovations underway on some floors and throughout the hotel, but didn’t notice them from the room at all during the stay. Really practical desk layout is well suited for business travelers who have to work from the hotel, although wifi was rubbish, almost non-existent. When it did work it was really slow and painful so I couldn’t work from the room which was disappointing.
