GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this homestay during my visit to Jiuhua Mountain. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Flesh Palace Temple, while still offering a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds.
The facilities exceeded my expectations for a homestay. The room was modern, well-maintained, and equipped with high-quality amenities (Jurlique toiletries) that made the stay both comfortable and luxurious.
What truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help. From thoughtful welcome fruits and helpful sightseeing recommendations to assistance with luggage, every detail was handled with care. Their genuine kindness made my pilgrimage to Jiuhua Mountain even more memorable.
I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Before coming, I did some homework. There are old hotels on the mountain, and many design B&Bs have also grown up. And this one is the most emotional.
As soon as the order was placed, the butler contacted us on WeChat and arranged for a car to pick us up when we reached the mountain. We ”rejected” the housekeeper's kindness and walked all the way into Jiuhua Old Street. When we were about to get lost in the dotted alleys, the B&B suddenly appeared in front of us.
”Alley”, as its name suggests, is hidden among alleys. The afternoon sun was just right. When we walked in, the snow that fell last week had not completely melted. The white walls and green tiles, a small courtyard, and a big tree shone in the warm winter sun.
After getting familiar with the terrain, I found that the location of the B&B is very good, with major temples, the cable car to the Centennial Palace, and the bus to the rooftop for transfer all nearby.
What also left a deep impression on me were the three young girls in the B&B. They were full of laughter, very cute, and felt like family.

I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

Service: Every boss in the store (I think they are all bosses) is very friendly, especially the tall lady who serves tea in the evening. Her smile is very contagious.
Food: The focus is on afternoon tea. The appearance and taste are both online. I like osmanthus black tea and tangerine peel melon seeds very much. I also order meals here. Although the price is higher than that of restaurants outside, the environment and hygiene are friendly. I have to say that Jiuhua bamboo shoots fried meat and the small cold dishes of snow vegetables and fresh bamboo shoots in the morning are really delicious😋

There are two important bus stops on Jiuhua Mountain: Yingxianqiao Station, the final stop for buses from the tourist service center at the foot of the mountain, and Huxingshan Bus Station, the starting and ending point for the circular bus service around the mountain. Ruyi B&B is very close to both stations. Many popular restaurants, supermarkets, fruit shops, and pharmacies are also nearby, making it very convenient. The B&B is newly renovated and clean. The owners are warm and friendly, and always accommodating.

GGuest UserI highly recommend Baofojiao Youth Hostel for solo travelers to Jiuhua Mountain. The rooms are very clean and odor-free. The bathroom has a smart toilet, and the cleaning staff keeps it spotless. There's a very friendly cat at the hostel; I heard it was a stray cat adopted by previous volunteers, and it's incredibly cute. The staff are also very friendly and patiently explain the Jiuhua Mountain itinerary. Sitting on the bench outside the hostel and just relaxing is especially comfortable.

GGuest UserThanks to a friend's recommendation, my stay at this mountain accommodation was incredibly comfortable! The location is excellent, and it even includes pick-up service within the scenic area. Since it was my first visit and I wasn't familiar with the roads, the owner meticulously explained the transfer route from the high-speed train station. Upon arrival at the scenic area, they drove right up to meet me and proactively helped with my luggage when I got to the hotel.
When I was about to head out for worship, the proprietress pulled out a map and helped me plan a smooth and hassle-free route. She specifically suggested visiting Baisui Palace in the afternoon, cleverly avoiding peak tourist times and saving me a lot of queuing. The service was thoughtful and attentive, and they were very warm to guests. I highly recommend choosing this place for your visit here.

We arrived by high-speed train, and the hotel arranged a pick-up for us directly from the scenic area's entrance. On our departure day, we could leave our luggage at the front desk. Later, after we came down from the mountain, a simple call to the hotel was enough, and they sent staff to deliver our luggage to us. Highly recommended.
