"This was my second stay here. It's about a 10-minute walk from the station, or a 1000 JPY taxi ride. Kumoba Pond is also within walking distance. This time, I accidentally left a sweater behind. When I contacted the hotel to pick it up on my way back from Kusatsu, I saw staff members in the rain wiping guests' suitcases with towels – very impressive! 👍"

However, the breakfast was rather repetitive, consisting of Japanese rice, vegetable fritters, two kinds of sliced bread plus rolls, boiled eggs, and a salad that consistently featured cabbage, corn, and cherry tomatoes. I stayed for five days, and the menu never changed. Accommodation in Karuizawa is more than twice as expensive as in Tokyo."

"Very beautiful small house, the room is big (for Japan), very cost-effective. The service is very good. The waiter can speak English, Japanese and Chinese. The surrounding environment is also very beautiful, full of small houses and forests. It takes a few minutes to get to Karuizawa Station by taxi for 800 yen. The hotel has a shuttle bus. To go to the Stone Church, there is a bus stop 6 minutes walk from the hotel (not many buses), and a taxi is about 3000 yen one way."
