"Second worse experience with a stay in Constance - after Ibis Budget last year. Good location when using public transportation. Room not clean after check in. At check in front desk woman said there is no room free anymore. I needed to complain a lot. Housekeeping just did the job at 3rd day! Mr. Mentor was amazing. He helped me to get my room and helped this incompetent front desk staff to get me checked in."

"Very lovely and personal. Not expensive. Maybe the best to book directly at the hotel. Old Villa on the beach promenade 10 minutes walk from the city centre. New bathroom and bed. Otherwise rooms individually furnished with antiquities from the Far East. We were given bustickets and beautifully received. Breakfast we didn't try. All best"

"I stayed at the Aqua in Konstanz, as I have done for the past 4 years during my annual trip. I found the hotel comfortable and welcoming, as usual. The rooms are of high standard and clean, with a comfortable bed. The air conditioner was useful because some nights were quite warm. The breakfast buffet is overwhelming, with a great choice of fruit, cooked/fried food, fresh bred etc. The staff was friendly as ever. The bar is well decorated and a really nice place to have a drink in the evening. Thanks a lot, see you next year."

"We would strongly recommend this hotel, for food, location, history and service. The dining room is magnificent in subdued lighting, dark oak and mirrors. It's a privilege have dinner in such surroundings. The staff are very helpful. It's a wonderful opportunity to stay in a building in which an Emperor stayed 1000 years ago. We had a junior suite which was very spacious (but no refrigerator: that is something that could be updated). Checkout is 11am but the staff allowed us to stay an extra hour without any charge. That's a nice touch (altho checkout in Swiss hotels is midday). Overall, well worth its 5 stars."
