Misplacing hair clips, needing ice, and even forgetting my drone – three times I caused a ”hassle,” and each time the immediate response was, ”Leave it to me.” They even drove 20 minutes up a mountain road to retrieve my drone without a second thought. Breakfast was all made-to-order, and the auntie even squatted down to ask my child, ”Would you like some toast?” After breakfast hours, she saw other guests coming down and proactively asked if they needed breakfast, without a hint of complaint or impatience. This isn't just service; it's being pampered like family. Every time I caused an inconvenience, it was met with reassurance. No impatience, just ”Leave it to me.” When we returned to the guesthouse after being out, we were immediately asked if we needed water. It was so heartwarming.

The ground floor has a super chic lounge area and a laundry room, it's so tastefully decorated, much nicer than most cafes. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. The room itself is exquisitely designed, featuring Kohler bathroom fixtures, a smart toilet, and LEOXAO toiletries – you can really feel the attention to detail everywhere. What's more, they replenish the room daily with 4 bottles of water, 2 cans of Coke, and 2 bottles of honeysuckle herbal tea. The most delightful surprise, though, was the large complimentary fruit platter delivered every single day!

If I don't bring the baby, the baby is too small to get up in the morning, I will follow the sunrise! It is very close to the main street and the main gate building of Tang'an Dongzhai. It takes a short walk to the flat road and then a short step to get there. AAnonymous UserI came to Zhaoxing Dong Village specifically to experience the Dong New Year and immerse myself in its festive atmosphere. The guesthouse is located near the Lituan Drum Tower; it's easy to find using a map, and the main street is just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and tidy, with all necessary toiletries provided. It was very quiet at night, and the landlady was warm and friendly. The Dong New Year parade, the traditional rice-making activity, the long table banquet, the Lusheng (a type of reed pipe instrument) competition, and the bonfire party were all part of the vibrant activities. I experienced the customs and traditions of the Dong people in southeastern Guizhou Province – a truly worthwhile trip. Finally, congratulations to the Lituan team for winning the Lusheng competition!

The high-speed rail pick-up service was incredibly thoughtful, allowing for a seamless transition into vacation mode right after getting off the train. The owners are as warm and welcoming as family, providing attentive and heartfelt service throughout our stay. The guesthouse faces a vast rice field; opening the window reveals lush greenery, and the air is so fresh it feels purified. Eating breakfast daily in front of this pastoral scenery, enjoying both the food and the view, was pure bliss! The indoor environment is also fantastic, with a simple yet comfortable arrangement of sofas and coffee tables. Sitting by the window, you can take in the beautiful mountain and forest views, with distant traditional buildings and activities on the lawn adding to the charm. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and natural, making it an absolute ideal choice for relaxation!

GGuest UserMe and my girlfriend got picked up at Congjiang train station which was very convenient. Right from the start the owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is located at the back of the village next to a field where they grow rapeseed flowers and rice during the year. For us the location was perfect as it is very peaceful and quiet but simultaneously litterally a few steps away from the beautiful vibrant little village. The room was very spacious and clean with a gorgeous view on the field. The interior is very well matched and has great facilities. There was even a small laundry machine so we could do some laundry ourselves. So far during our travels in China, this stay was the best we had!
There is a very stylish and cute coffee/restaurant located on the first floor of the building. This is also where you will have a delicious breakfast and where Ni Li and her sister will greet you with a smile every time you walk by.
Ni Li, her husband Tao Mingqing, her sister and brother played a crucial part during our stay as after the first night my wife got very sick due to an infection and barely left the room during our stay. The second night I got foodpoisoning which made the situation even worse. (Not from the hotel!). We ended up extending our stay due to her condition. Luckily Li's English is very good so that helped us a lot in navigating the medical difficulties. We were extremely lucky to be staying with Li and her family as they took care of us like we were their own family. Preparing custom meals and dinner tailored to our needs every single day, preparing us tea, calling the local doctors and translating and taking us to the local hospital back and forth multiple times. We were there during the Qingming festival so no cars were allowed in the village which made it more difficult to reach the hospital. This didn't stop Tao Mingqing as he took us to the local hospital several times on the motorbike, one by one! The last time I even forgot a bag and he even went back to get it for me! He truly is a legend. Fortunately, my recovery was fairly quickly so I had the chance to explore the village a little by myself and spend time with Li and Ming while staying close to the room for my girlfriend.
On day 4 my girlfriend's fever was coming down and she improved a little. Li and Ming invited us to have tea with them. Ming showed me his vast collection of tea and made sure to prepare the best tea suitable for our condition. The tea was truly amazing and he ended up filling a big bag with different kinds of teas as a gift for us! And that was not it, to make sure we would never forget them and drink tea mindfully the Chinese way when we're back home, they gave us the tea cups we used traditionally decorated with the blue dragon and phoenix.
It was a very stressful situation and when we felt at our most fragile, they were there to take care of us, strangers they just met. This says everything about these wonderful people. Even though the illness of my girlfriend and the rough situation, we think back to our stay with a very warm hearth as our special experience forged a bond we'll never forget. We are incredibly lucky to have met Li and her family.
We have said thank you to them 100s of times already, but I can't express enough how grateful I am for this people. Thank you for taking care of us like your family!!! ＜3
If you are unsure about staying here, there is truly no reason why you shouldn't! Whatever the situation, Li and her family will do everything they can to improve your stay. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

GGuest UserThe address of the B&B is in Zhongzhai, just a minute’s walk past the Internet celebrity tower P1! There are a lot of food and drinks at the door. Since it is a little far away from the main street, it is very quiet. It is quiet in the bustle. You can have a good sleep at night. The room is also very big. The boss is a super nice sister. I came to stay alone and just in time. I went to her house for steamed sweet potatoes, and for free I got the taro and sweet potatoes from the shop owner’s sister’s house 🍠 When I came back from watching the iron flower in the evening, I happened to meet the shop owner’s sister after finishing her meal, and invited me to eat with her. I tried the local specialty beef soup, hot and sour, delicious! Her dog pudding is so good! Super cute like a doll 🧸The drone fried chicken at night. My sister also helped contact the police and picked up the drone for me. The store is so easy to mess with. I will stay here again next time I come! !

MM465679****It was already late when we arrived at the Dong Village. A friend recommended this B&B to me. She said the owner was very nice. The B&B was inside the village and the environment was very nice and clean. When you book a room, they also give you clothes for taking photos and handmade cards. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry to go home and didn't have time to do any handicrafts.

GGuest UserGreat hotel with perfect location and an amazing staff! The location is very convenient, just a 1 min walk from the bus stop that gets you to the railway station. Staff members were super kind, helpful and very responsive, they replied to all my questions very quickly and helped me book a bus to my next destination. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It’s also located in a quiet area (so you can’t hear music from loud bars), but just a few minutes walk to all restaurants and shops. I would absolutely stay here again!

GGuest UserHighly recommend! We stayed here in April with our kids and everything about Zhaoxing Dong village and this hotel is so heartwarming and memorable! A trip we will remember forever! The owner is from Yunnan. He and all the staff are incredibly helpful, kind and friendly! Communication was clear before we arrived. They messaged us on WeChat and picked us up from the train station and brought our luggage to the hotel. The breakfast lady makes the most delicious soup noodle every morning and the hami melon is so sweet! Breakfast is served on the rooftop and the view in the morning is so serene as the town is still quiet. The hotel was even were so kind to make a bowl of soup noodle when our kids were not feeling well one evening. And the breakfast lady personally walked me to a local shop that sells handmade herbal shampoo to help promote healthy hair! I was so moved by her friendliness to share the towns local best kept secrets. There is a free green shuttle that picks up every few blocks within the town: this was very handy when traveling with kids who get tired from walking easily. Thank you for a personal and heartwarming stay! ❤️❤️
