Echarm Hotels in Nanjing

Overall, it was great. The room was very spacious, as requested. The front desk staff and housekeepers were all very welcoming and friendly. The delivery robot for takeout was also quite fast. The only downside is that they're currently renovating, so it can be a bit noisy in the mornings.

The location of this hotel is very convenient. Xiao He at the front desk has a very enthusiastic service attitude. The room is clean and hygienic. He also upgraded the room type for us for free. I give it a big thumbs up and will come to his hotel next time.

This hotel is located in a busy street and less than 100m from the Metro. The staff were brilliant and the room was exactly what I expected. You are literally never far from a place to eat in this bustling city. Confucius temple is walking distance. Take a camera you'll not want to miss anything. The people of Nanjing are like the hotel staff, just all very nice. Echarm is an absolute perfect hotel for seeing all the surrounding areas of interest. Please please please take your opportunity to go see the exhibition for the victims of the Nanjing Massacre. The exhibition is free and remember to take your passport for proof of I.D. Everything in Nanjing is within reach of a metro station. Make lots of friends by downloading a translation app. I used the app called ”earjoy” and it absolutely works brilliantly. I even met 2 Afghanistan residents who we also used the app with its a god send. The hotel has robots that can bring ordered food to your door and they even get the lift by themselves. It's an eye opener for people from the West. The Chinese people are just the best, they get curious about a western face and once you smile at them they smile back and please engage with them. I for one will come back to Nanjing and echarm will be my go to hotel, that says it all.

The hotel room was a bit small, but fine for a solo traveler. The facilities were a little dated, but the air conditioning worked great. The shower had consistent temperature and good water pressure. The soundproofing was decent, as I wasn't disturbed by any noise during my stay. The hotel's laundry and drying services were good, and the surrounding area had convenient transportation.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to our branch office; we can walk to work. There are also many restaurants nearby. However, the hygiene is just so-so. The hotel is quite old, and the facilities are basic. I remember arriving around 10 PM last time, and the room I booked had the previous guest's bathroom unflushed. There was a terrible stench as soon as I entered the room. I found the toilet seat open and disgusting excrement inside. I vomited for a long time and had to cancel my reservation and find another hotel nearby, like the Ji Hotel. This time, I found a lot of lint on the floor that hadn't been mopped. They really need to pay more attention to hygiene. (See the picture for the dirty lint.)
