Great location,easy to get around it’s walking distance to the best food street ,all well known Nanjing cuisine can be found here Walking distance to wudingmen metro station to and from Nanjing station ,just few steps away we can position ourselves for didi /taxi The hotel is located in the area maintaining Traditional Chinese architecture , decoration and greenery ,great for photography we got the room with a beautiful backyard full of plants and blossoms of flowers and a tray of welcome tea after checked in, the bed and pillows are comfortable ,showers is nice and warm Light Chinese breakfast served is good enough to start a day and not too much for the delicious Nanjing lunch later on:-) The girls at front desk are very friendly and sweet they were always ready to help The owners I guess who were on night shift were polite and respectful Overall we had a great time here thank you

The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to Deji Plaza, with an abundance of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. The lobby offers complimentary ice drinks and snacks all day, which is an absolute lifesaver when you walk into the hotel after experiencing Nanjing's heat. The room isn't huge but perfectly adequate, and the hygiene is good, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. It's a hotel with excellent value for money.

This hotel is just two subway stops from Nanjing South Station, which is great, especially on a hot day, as you don't have to walk far to catch a ride-sharing service. It's been almost ten years since I last stayed at a Courtyard, and I feel like the facilities aren't as good as I remember. Perhaps back then, I hadn't stayed in as many good hotels. With company travel budgets tighter now, I can't stay at Marriotts, so I opted for Courtyard this time. Honestly, I don't think it's as good as some of IHG's economy brands like Voco or Holiday Inn Express. I didn't eat much breakfast, but it looked decent.

I booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

Last May Day, we visited the Club Med in Taicang, and the GOs recommended the newly opened Club Med in Nanjing. This summer, I brought my child here for a weekend (three days, two nights) during the school holidays, and the experience was fantastic, definitely a full five-star rating! **Accommodation:** The rooms were clean and tidy, and the housekeeping was meticulous. The cleaning staff were very friendly and patient, always refilling our drinking water. The resort grounds are spacious and comfortable, with excellent natural surroundings. You can overlook the lake from the balcony, offering a wide and open view. **Activities:** There are plenty of facilities for play, both indoors and outdoors. We happened to be here during a heatwave, so we mostly opted for indoor activities. The indoor sports area includes basketball, badminton, table tennis, billiards, and rock climbing, as well as a 'parkour' area (similar to an adventure course) that my child loved, which we visited for two consecutive days. You can also book KTV sessions. When it's hot, you can also sit at the U Bar and play cards, which is very relaxing. Outdoor activities are also abundant. You can cross a bridge to 'Explore Park,' where you can try archery, kayaking, windsurfing, or even the 'flying trapeze.' However, the flying trapeze requires training, and you need to be able to hang from a bar with both hands for at least ten counts. Neither of us had that much grip strength (we could only manage up to five), so we just watched other 'experts' try it. Kayaking was quite nice; the lake water was clear, and there were little ducks swimming around. It's best to go in the late afternoon, around 5-6 pm, to avoid the intense sun for a better experience. My sister and I kayaked together, and circling the large lake wasn't tiring at all. It's suitable for mothers or older children with moderate physical fitness. **Service:** The butler service was online throughout our stay, with quick responses and smooth communication. Whether it was booking activities or requesting supplies, they responded and handled everything promptly. When we wanted a clothes drying rack for our swimwear on the balcony after swimming, it was provided very quickly, which was incredibly thoughtful and professional. Being peak summer holiday season, the restaurant entrance traffic was also managed efficiently; just stating your room number allowed for quick entry, which was very user-friendly. Here, you can shed your fatigue and quietly enjoy your holiday. I'm already planning to come back when the weather isn't so scorching (the 'furnace city' reputation is certainly well-deserved). **Two additional points:** There's an external food delivery pick-up point near the entrance, which is very convenient. I also loved the hotel's lighting fixtures; they were very artistic. Finally, a big thank you to our butler, KIKI Angel, for the excellent service!

A Delightful Stay at Nanjing Guildford Hotel My stay at Nanjing Guildford Hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Nanjing. The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple), the Qinhuai River, and Laomendong. It is also conveniently located for Nanjing South Railway Station, Nanjing Lukou International Airport, and Niushoushan. What impressed me most was the exceptionally high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Both the room and common areas were spotless and very well maintained, making the stay extremely comfortable. The room itself was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and much larger than I expected. There was plenty of room to relax, enjoy takeaway meals, or simply unwind while admiring the river view from the large windows. The smart room features added a modern touch to the experience. Using Xiao Du, I could conveniently control the curtains and lighting with voice commands. Every morning, opening the curtains to the beautiful river view and morning sunshine was a wonderful way to start the day. Another highlight was the deep soaking bathtub beside the window overlooking the river and flowering trees. Combined with the waterfall-style shower and automated toilet seat, the bathroom experience felt luxurious and relaxing. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive. I had several parcels and deliveries sent to the hotel before my arrival, and the team carefully received them and arranged for them to be delivered directly to my room. The hotel’s delivery robot was also efficient and convenient, providing notifications before arriving at the room. Combining excellent service, outstanding cleanliness, spacious rooms, smart technology, beautiful views, and a fantastic location, Nanjing Guildford Hotel exceeded my expectations. I came to Nanjing for Liu Yuning's concert, and the Regalia Hotel I chose this time truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel is about 3 kilometers from the venue, so a taxi ride was very quick. After the show, I could get back to my room quickly to rest, avoiding a lot of traffic headaches. The location is absolutely perfect for concert-goers. What touched me even more was the hotel's service, especially Ada at the front desk. She was so warm and attentive, making me feel incredibly welcomed from check-in to check-out. It added a lot of warmth to my solo fan-chasing trip. Although the room wasn't huge, it was decorated very cozily and was impeccably clean. The bedding was comfortable, allowing me to get a good night's sleep after days of rushing around and the excitement of the concert. The only 'minor regret' was Nanjing's weather these past two days – the temperature fluctuated quite a bit, which was a bit unexpected. However, the hotel itself was always warm and comfortable. If I come to Nanjing again for a show or to visit, Regalia will definitely be my first choice!

Five-Day Stay in Nanjing Check-in Experience We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee. Accommodation We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit: Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property. RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games. **Ratings** Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities. Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout. Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days. **Things to Consider** It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center. If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include: - ATV rides - Fishing area - Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter) - Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry) - Train ride (30 RMB) The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car. **Challenges We Faced** My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available. However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

I'd heard a lot about Buckingham, and seen plenty of negative reviews, so I decided to check it out myself. My experience was much better than expected. **Ambiance:** The decor is undeniably luxurious, with a lavish feel throughout the room. Even the toothbrush holder and tissue box are gold. The oversized circular bathtub would be fantastic for photos! **Service:** I'd read many complaints about the front desk service. When we visited, we only encountered a slight coldness, but it met basic expectations – it's not a true five-star, so decent service is fine. We asked the front desk for an extra quilt, and it was delivered promptly by a very enthusiastic auntie. **Hygiene:** The hygiene was acceptable; there were no obvious stains in the room. The extra quilt we requested did have some stains, but considering it was an additional item and would have a duvet cover, it was tolerable. The slippers in the room were very comfortable, and they provided thoughtful amenities like charging cables and a phone stand, which was great. However, the TV only had two channels, most facilities incurred extra charges, and food delivery wasn't allowed upstairs – these issues were also present. Overall, it's great value for money and I'd recommend it.

Maybe it's because it's a hotel in a scenic area, and there's a lot of foot traffic. It took me almost 20 minutes to check in at the front desk, even though I arrived around 5:30 PM. At that time, my room was still being cleaned and inspected. The front desk's response time was incredibly slow. The front desk management here is the worst I've experienced at any Atour hotel nationwide. And get this: the gym and laundry room are in the same space! There's only one treadmill, a full set of dumbbells, but the laundry room is stuffy, hot, and the AC doesn't work. Working out in there is pure torture. Unless you have a specific reason, I wouldn't recommend staying next to a scenic area; the experience is really bad.
