Great location,easy to get around it’s walking distance to the best food street ,all well known Nanjing cuisine can be found here Walking distance to wudingmen metro station to and from Nanjing station ,just few steps away we can position ourselves for didi /taxi The hotel is located in the area maintaining Traditional Chinese architecture , decoration and greenery ,great for photography we got the room with a beautiful backyard full of plants and blossoms of flowers and a tray of welcome tea after checked in, the bed and pillows are comfortable ,showers is nice and warm Light Chinese breakfast served is good enough to start a day and not too much for the delicious Nanjing lunch later on:-) The girls at front desk are very friendly and sweet they were always ready to help The owners I guess who were on night shift were polite and respectful Overall we had a great time here thank you

Seriously, guys, who understands this feeling? 😭 After all these years, this is the first time I've ever felt such strong resistance to checking out! This stay at the Manxin Mansion in Nanjing Confucius Temple and Laomendong made me genuinely not want to leave. The experience was absolutely fantastic! I really have to wholeheartedly recommend their private hot spring rooms ♨️. After a whole day of walking around outside, my legs were incredibly sore. Coming back to the room and immediately soaking in the private hot spring just melted all the fatigue away instantly, and my happiness soared! The hotel also really understands how to set the mood, preparing rose petals 🌹 and essential oil bath bombs 🫧 in advance. Toss them into the hot spring, and voilà, the ambiance is perfect. Taking photos while bathing turned out beautifully. The private hot spring rooms come with a huge outdoor platform facing the Qinhuai River! When the weather is nice, sitting on the platform, enjoying the riverside breeze, having afternoon tea, leisurely zoning out while gazing at the river view is truly a hidden gem for photos. Every shot looks great 🤭. I couldn't find any faults with the amenities either. The buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, gym, and laundry room were all perfectly arranged. When traveling, the biggest hassle is laundry, so having a laundry room was a lifesaver. Once checked in, I didn't have to worry about anything and could just relax comfortably 👍. I also have to rave about the hotel's location 📍. It's tucked away inside the Chenguang 1865 Creative Industrial Park, which is the site of the Jinling Arsenal founded by Li Hongzhang in 1865. The park is full of vintage old factory buildings and architecture. You don't have to go far; just strolling around downstairs can yield tons of retro photos. The surrounding attractions are clustered together, making it incredibly convenient! Dabaoshen Temple, Zhonghua Gate City Wall, and Laomendong are all a short distance away, and the Confucius Temple is also very close. It perfectly suits my travel style: crazy walking and sightseeing during the day, taking lots of photos 📷, and then just wanting to chill and relax at the hotel at night 🤸‍♀️. This hotel perfectly curated my ideal Nanjing itinerary: Enjoy a hearty breakfast 👉 Head out to explore attractions and take photos. Walk until my legs are tired 👉 Return to the hotel to enjoy afternoon tea and recuperate. As night falls 👉 Soak in the private hot spring, relaxing with the night view of the Qinhuai River ♨️. If you want to have a comfortable and hassle-free trip to Nanjing, you can definitely book this place without hesitation!

Every time I come to Nanjing, I stay here. The hotel isn't huge, but for being right in the city center, the room is incredibly quiet, which is truly surprising. The front desk staff are efficient, and they even offer souvenirs and departure fruit. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

I booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

An absolute pleasant surprise—The Lalu lives up to its renowned reputation. The ultimate Chinese aesthetic of the room combined with the breathtaking view was so stunning that I couldn't bear to go to sleep! The room features a depth of 5 meters and a width of 10 meters, a rare horizontal layout for a hotel. Facing the river with its long side, the bathroom, bedroom, and balcony are all lined up to enjoy the river views. The interior design is the epitome of masterly Chinese styling; the matching of lanterns and small decor items reflects a serene and harmonious Zen vibe in every single detail. The breakfast buffet is spacious and uncrowded, and the service was warm and prompt. I also got to try some exceptionally delicious ********* Braised Pork Rice—a taste of the hotel's hometown that I had never experienced before. At night, gazing at the picturesque view framed by the wide window, perfectly complemented by the indoor lighting, I stayed up until 1:30 AM just staring at the nightscape before finally forcing myself to sleep. For me, that was the only major ”drawback”! If you are a fan of great views, I highly recommend staying here. Don't miss it if you're visiting Nanjing!

Last May Day, we visited the Club Med in Taicang, and the GOs recommended the newly opened Club Med in Nanjing. This summer, I brought my child here for a weekend (three days, two nights) during the school holidays, and the experience was fantastic, definitely a full five-star rating! **Accommodation:** The rooms were clean and tidy, and the housekeeping was meticulous. The cleaning staff were very friendly and patient, always refilling our drinking water. The resort grounds are spacious and comfortable, with excellent natural surroundings. You can overlook the lake from the balcony, offering a wide and open view. **Activities:** There are plenty of facilities for play, both indoors and outdoors. We happened to be here during a heatwave, so we mostly opted for indoor activities. The indoor sports area includes basketball, badminton, table tennis, billiards, and rock climbing, as well as a 'parkour' area (similar to an adventure course) that my child loved, which we visited for two consecutive days. You can also book KTV sessions. When it's hot, you can also sit at the U Bar and play cards, which is very relaxing. Outdoor activities are also abundant. You can cross a bridge to 'Explore Park,' where you can try archery, kayaking, windsurfing, or even the 'flying trapeze.' However, the flying trapeze requires training, and you need to be able to hang from a bar with both hands for at least ten counts. Neither of us had that much grip strength (we could only manage up to five), so we just watched other 'experts' try it. Kayaking was quite nice; the lake water was clear, and there were little ducks swimming around. It's best to go in the late afternoon, around 5-6 pm, to avoid the intense sun for a better experience. My sister and I kayaked together, and circling the large lake wasn't tiring at all. It's suitable for mothers or older children with moderate physical fitness. **Service:** The butler service was online throughout our stay, with quick responses and smooth communication. Whether it was booking activities or requesting supplies, they responded and handled everything promptly. When we wanted a clothes drying rack for our swimwear on the balcony after swimming, it was provided very quickly, which was incredibly thoughtful and professional. Being peak summer holiday season, the restaurant entrance traffic was also managed efficiently; just stating your room number allowed for quick entry, which was very user-friendly. Here, you can shed your fatigue and quietly enjoy your holiday. I'm already planning to come back when the weather isn't so scorching (the 'furnace city' reputation is certainly well-deserved). **Two additional points:** There's an external food delivery pick-up point near the entrance, which is very convenient. I also loved the hotel's lighting fixtures; they were very artistic. Finally, a big thank you to our butler, KIKI Angel, for the excellent service!

I arrived in Nanjing to seek refuge before Typhoon White Dolphin hit. I had never considered staying in the bustling Confucius Temple area before. This hotel feels more like a B&B. All the rooms are lined up with river views, and outside the window is the famous Qinhuai River. There's also a restaurant directly across the river, which allowed me to finally experience the poetic charm of 'mist enshrouding the cold water, moon covering the sand, mooring on the Qinhuai River near a tavern.' The room facilities are just okay, passable for a short stay. The hygiene definitely isn't as good as a large hotel, but the complimentary welcome fruit felt like a nice touch. Parking is a bit inconvenient; you have to walk a ways, and then drive into an elevator to go down to the underground parking. The parking attendant also seemed to be absentminded.

Quite good, and the service was very professional. The breakfast selection was limited, but the quality was decent. The subway is very convenient, right on Line 1. I would choose to stay here again when visiting Nanjing in the future.

I was on a business trip and randomly picked this homestay nearby, not expecting much given the price. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got in! The room wasn't huge, but it was fully equipped with everything I needed. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and there was a coffee table and sofa, which was really convenient for working. The staff were very thoughtful and even sent up two extra bottles of mineral water. They specifically told me the front desk was available 24/7, which was great. Breakfast was also quite rich. For this price, to get an experience like this, I'm really satisfied. I might even bring my kids here for a holiday sometime!

I was very satisfied with my stay. First off, the location is a huge plus – it's right inside the Confucius Temple area, making it super convenient to get around. The room was clean and tidy, and I slept really well. Every staff member I encountered greeted me warmly, and they were always quick to answer any questions I had. Overall, it was a great experience. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Nanjing.
