Great location,easy to get around it’s walking distance to the best food street ,all well known Nanjing cuisine can be found here Walking distance to wudingmen metro station to and from Nanjing station ,just few steps away we can position ourselves for didi /taxi The hotel is located in the area maintaining Traditional Chinese architecture , decoration and greenery ,great for photography we got the room with a beautiful backyard full of plants and blossoms of flowers and a tray of welcome tea after checked in, the bed and pillows are comfortable ,showers is nice and warm Light Chinese breakfast served is good enough to start a day and not too much for the delicious Nanjing lunch later on:-) The girls at front desk are very friendly and sweet they were always ready to help The owners I guess who were on night shift were polite and respectful Overall we had a great time here thank you

The room was very clean and spacious, and the bedding was super comfortable. The lobby has a self-service afternoon tea stand with a really delicious orange and lemon infused water. My mom also loved one of the biscuits there. The staff were all very nice. The location is excellent, right next to Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) when you step out and turn right.

The hotel's location is truly excellent. I knew it was close, but I didn't realize just how close! When I booked, I chose it because it's in front of the train station and behind the zoo, and in practice, I didn't take a single wrong turn. Plus, there's a subway station right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get to Fuzimiao, Xuanwu Lake, Jiefangmen, and Laomendong. The front desk staff were very friendly and check-in was quick. The room facilities were also well-maintained. The breakfast was small but exquisite; the buffet spread was impressive, and the best part is that everything I picked was delicious, so there was no waste. Oh, and the pillows were comfortable too! I highly recommend staying here; I'll definitely be back.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and it's just as good as the first. First off, the price is really friendly and perfectly matches its great location. Whether you're catching an early high-speed train or a flight, this is a great place to stay. They even upgraded our room on arrival, which made it much more comfortable for two people. It was perfect for our early morning flight on departure day. I'll definitely stay here again next time I travel.

Having stayed at Mercure hotels in other cities before, I decided to book this one again. The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Deji Plaza, very close to Xinjiekou subway station, and a short taxi ride to various attractions. After checking in, we encountered a small issue, but the hotel promptly resolved it and upgraded us to a family room. The in-room mini-bar was a thoughtful touch, stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks, and there was a generous supply of bottled water replenished daily. The bedding was very comfortable, and the environment was quiet. The breakfast deserves a special mention; although the restaurant isn't large, it offers a wonderful selection of authentic Nanjing specialties, all delicious, alongside both Western and Chinese options, and the coffee was excellent. Both adults and children were very satisfied. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and they even gave us some local specialties as a parting gift!

Five stars, highly recommend! Wutong Mansion boasts an unbeatable location right in the heart of the Zhongshan Scenic Area, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The Republic of China-era decor is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are spotless with comfortable bedding. High-end fixtures and appliances are provided in the bathrooms, and amenities like the gym and cafe are fully equipped. The staff are warm, attentive, and provide thoughtful service. Breakfast is exquisite and plentiful, featuring a rich selection of local specialties. It's a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, perfect for both relaxing getaways and short trips. This is definitely the top choice for accommodation when visiting Nanjing!

Kudos to the cleaning staff on the 15th floor during Chinese New Year. The front desk, which is supposed to be the hotel's face, was a letdown. We checked in at the left counter using Hong Kong IDs, and after we were done, they asked if we needed help with our luggage. We had elderly and children with us, but there wasn't a single word of greeting. Breakfast was up to four-star standards; not a huge variety, but good quality. The lounge on the 5th floor was very average. They had red and white wine, but you had to ask the staff for beer.

A Delightful Stay at Nanjing Guildford Hotel My stay at Nanjing Guildford Hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Nanjing. The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple), the Qinhuai River, and Laomendong. It is also conveniently located for Nanjing South Railway Station, Nanjing Lukou International Airport, and Niushoushan. What impressed me most was the exceptionally high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Both the room and common areas were spotless and very well maintained, making the stay extremely comfortable. The room itself was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and much larger than I expected. There was plenty of room to relax, enjoy takeaway meals, or simply unwind while admiring the river view from the large windows. The smart room features added a modern touch to the experience. Using Xiao Du, I could conveniently control the curtains and lighting with voice commands. Every morning, opening the curtains to the beautiful river view and morning sunshine was a wonderful way to start the day. Another highlight was the deep soaking bathtub beside the window overlooking the river and flowering trees. Combined with the waterfall-style shower and automated toilet seat, the bathroom experience felt luxurious and relaxing. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive. I had several parcels and deliveries sent to the hotel before my arrival, and the team carefully received them and arranged for them to be delivered directly to my room. The hotel’s delivery robot was also efficient and convenient, providing notifications before arriving at the room. Combining excellent service, outstanding cleanliness, spacious rooms, smart technology, beautiful views, and a fantastic location, Nanjing Guildford Hotel exceeded my expectations. Was hard to find as the taxi driver coming from the train station drops you at the crossing and doesn't tell you where to go. He probably doesn't know himself as it's in a pedestrian area and cars can't get to it. If you're getting dropped off from the station you'll need to cross the road and walk towards the pedestrian shopping area. I arrived early, they allowed me to check in early. Staff don't speak any English and don't attempt to translate using their phone nor give you their wechat hotel number to communicate. My mandarin is minimal. Breakfast wasn't communicated. I proceeded to my room. The room was dusty and didn't appear to have been cleaned. The room I booked had a mini bar but the one they assigned didn't. I went back to reception. Reception is on level 5. This is me guessing based on the sign board in Chinese characters by the lift when I first got there. There's only one lift. There are stairs which I didn't use. I told them that the room was dirty and missing a mini bar. They told me to wait 30 mins while they got another room ready. No hesitation, no fuss at all. The next room was a bit better. The room is dated and needs a makeover. The clothes rack is rusty, the bed spread had holes in it. I found lashes stuck on the table. There needs to be a bit more attention to detail with cleaning and dusting. They might only empty the bins, change the bedding. The shampoo bottle was empty. I didn't say anything because I was using my own shampoo. The walls are soundproof. It does get noisy with guests slamming their door, a pub is down stairs and people yell and toot their scooter horn. It's a great location by the river which is always busy. Lots of food choices. To catch a ride, you need to go to one of the many footpaths by the road. Breakfast was good for savoury taste buds. The noodles the first morning were hard and cold. The coffee machine takes three top ups to get a cup. It was pitiful. The gym is just one treadmill. The washing room was great. I got washing done. I stayed here three nights. It was OK for the price I paid.

Absolutely loved it! The environment was fantastic, and the room was super clean. With the curtains drawn, I slept like a baby, completely oblivious to time. Service from 11 and 23 was exceptionally good; they were so friendly and enthusiastic. They even upgraded my friend's room and made sure we were on the same floor as requested. Next time I'm in Nanjing, I'll definitely choose this hotel again. My only minor complaint is that food deliveries can't be brought up to the room. I didn't know this and ended up running outside in light clothing to pick up my order – it was freezing!
