"The owner and staff are terrific. We had a two bedroom unit and it was more than expected comfortable. The host, Cobber, went out of his way to cover our first-timer plug adapter needs and the staff, including (pronounced) Timmy were great at explaining public transit and fielding what must have seemed like a lot of questions. We are heading back again at the end of our NZ visit!"

"Last stayed here in 2015 so quite a gap in time between then and our next stay, which was 3 nights in February. This motel is pet friendly which is why we chose it. There is a one off extra cleaning fee of $30 added to your stay, i.e. not a daily charge and this is fine. Always thought booking direct at any accommodation gave you the best price but on subsequent checking, this is not the case. We paid $225.00 per night, $675 for three nights. Looking at booking 3 nights there via a popular booking site gave me a price of $446 so it would seem direct bookers are subsidizing the discounts providers give to booking chains. Very disappointing especially as for $225.00 per night, I would expect a fully equipped kitchen, not a small space with a plug in hot plate."

"Nice welcome friendly and helpful when enquiring about things, not happy with wifi constantly fading and their answer was “ tried to get it fixed but ? “ on website they offer airport drop offs but don’t due to complaints from the local cabbies so why still advertise this !!! And finally when dropping off key on checkout didn’t ask how our stay was or anything so not happy with the service."

"Stayed in the garden studio, which was lovely and very comfortable. Spacious, very private and quiet. Nicely furnished and great bird watching off the deck that looks out over a small pond/stream and lush plantings. Good coffee provided for using in the various sized French presses. Paulina was very welcoming and helpful with restaurant recommendations, things to see and how to use the bus system. Easy walk to downtown and a nearby breakfast/lunch cafe."
