Indigo Hotels in Ningbo

First of all, a big thank you to the lovely front desk lady for the complimentary upgrade to a river view room and the fruit plate. The hotel has a light luxury style with deep colors, which isn't entirely my preference, but the design is very impressive, so that's a plus. The breakfast selection isn't vast, but everything is exquisite. The room amenities are appropriate, and it's very clean. As someone with rhinitis, I'm quite sensitive to smells, and I could still detect a slight hint of renovation odor. The soundproofing in the room is average; I could hear some noise and sounds from the pipes at night. Overall, it was still a good stay.

Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations and made me feel truly special. First off, a huge thank you for upgrading me to an open-plan suite and adding some simple decorations after I'd requested it – the communication was excellent. The staff, from the front desk to the restaurant and lobby bar, were incredibly attentive and made me feel very comfortable. The room had so many thoughtful details, like the hand-drawn map hidden near the study area and the hotel-themed throw pillows. Compared to other Indigo properties, this one's design really resonated with me. However, there were a few minor issues with the facilities, staff training, and cleanliness: the elevator button on the second floor was already broken (and the hotel just opened!), the TV in my room had noticeable handprints, there were water stains on the faucet, and the mini-bar cutlery was haphazardly arranged. On check-in, even though it was late at night and not busy, I still had to wait almost 15 minutes for the front desk staff, who seemed quite flustered with the computer. A lobby bar server forgot to get my signature, leading to a staff member having to knock on my door in the middle of the night for confirmation. The hotel robot got stuck in the elevator, so it took an hour to get my food delivery. And the automatic doors in the lobby frequently didn't open automatically. IHG might want to pay more attention to these details to ensure a better guest experience. Also, breakfast was just average. Aside from these points, the rest of the experience was quite good, and you can really see the effort put into this flagship store in East China.
