"The accommodation, the pool and garden with beautiful flowers were super nice to recover from our Balabac trip in the south. The staff was very sweet and helpful. The room is a bit old, the shower could only be cold or way too hot and the lock of the door did not work. The owner tried to fix it immediately, but unfortunately without success. The bed was very comfortable! Furthermore, we had a great time here together and slept well!❤️"

Amazing
TTeeks Pros: Our stay at Piece Lio was decent overall. The aesthetics matched the pictures online, and the studio was spacious with a lovely balcony view overlooking the rainforest. I really appreciated the Dyson hairdryer in the room, which made things much easier with long hair. The staff were friendly, polite, and kind, thank you guys! Cons: There were some small issues in the room, such as paint patches peeling off and small holes near the window shutters, which need attention, especially for a fairly new hotel. The biggest disappointment was discovering that there is no gym or spa, even though both are listed in the hotel’s description. This may not be a big deal for everyone, but it was for us since we had planned our trip around maintaining our fitness and relaxation routine. Instead, guests are given access to facilities within the same hospitality group. The gym and spa are located offsite, about 15 minutes away in town. While the hotel provides free shuttle service to and from that location, the drive feels much longer than expected due to island roads. The gym is small with basic equipment, and the spa, called Rituals Health and Spa, felt old and in need of renovation. Breakfast was average and not really to our liking. It was also inconvenient because most restaurants at Lio Beach do not open until around 10 a.m., leaving limited early morning options. We ended up eating at another nearby hotel restaurant, Molave, which was the only one open at that time. One of the staff members incorrectly told us there were other options available earlier, which suggests a need for better training and communication. Another issue was with a pre-booked van ride to one of the beaches. We had confirmed it via WhatsApp, but when we went downstairs, the staff had no record of it. To their credit, they handled the situation professionally and offered us a free one-way ride to make up for the inconvenience. Overall: The staff were warm and helpful, but management needs to improve communication, training, and most importantly, the accuracy of the facilities listed online. It feels misleading to advertise a gym and spa that are not actually part of the hotel. The lack of an in-house restaurant was also inconvenient, especially when you want a quick meal without leaving the property. If the hotel eventually adds its own spa and gym, it would be a much better experience. We did recommend it to friends for a short stay before their flight, but I would not suggest booking it if your priority is having fitness and spa facilities in one place. Overall, would return it they added the facilities! P.S. there’s cats! I’m not a cats person so it was a little uncomfortable to have them downstairs in the lobby area .

The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and taken care of, making the service truly unique and memorable. MMarshieGot it! Here’s your revised review, keeping the original friendly tone while clarifying the tour offerings and distance to attractions like Honda Bay and the Underground River: --- **A Perfect Tropical Escape – Carpe Diem Villas Exceeded Expectations!** From the moment we arrived at Carpe Diem Villas, we were treated like VIPs! The staff welcomed us with refreshing drinks and big smiles, instantly setting the tone for a relaxing and memorable stay. The check-in process was smooth, and we immediately felt at home in this beautiful, tranquil retreat. Our villa was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed—combining modern comforts with a cozy tropical vibe. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved having a private balcony where we could unwind with a cup of coffee in the mornings or a glass of wine in the evenings. The pool area was another highlight—serene, well-maintained, and perfect for lounging under the Palawan sun. While the villa is located in Puerto Princesa city (not near far-flung attractions like the Underground River or Honda Bay), the hotel made exploring easy by offering convenient tours to these must-see spots - from city tours to island-hopping adventures, ensuring that we can experience the best of Palawan without the stress of planning. Their recommendations for local restaurants and hidden gems were also spot-on! What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond—always attentive, friendly, and ready to help with anything we needed. Their warmth and professionalism made our stay feel extra special. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-appointed retreat with outstanding service and easy access to tours (even to faraway attractions!), Carpe Diem Villas is the perfect choice.

KKaliannaThe resort was on an isolated island. Took 20-min car ride from the airport and 45-min boat ride from the port to the island. Our room was supposed to be ocean view, just right behind the sunrise villas. Unfortunately, the trees have grown high & hardly can we see the ocean. So best to go to the beach and enjoy the sceneries there. Not worth paying extra, unless it's sunset villa. Breakfast was acceptable, but in-room dining service need improvement. Especially, the cleaning up part. The swimming pool is under maintenance and I thought seafood & sashimi would be good, but nope, which is a bit extra disappointing. However, the general experience was good since the staffs are very nice and polite. We received different types of local snacks daily and turned out the kitchen made Filipinos food better than international ones. For morning hiking to Eagle Point, it's not really worth it, unless you have a drone to have 360-degree view. Intended to rate 3.8/5, but I got to see the sea turtle so 4/5 ~

AAizzyCleHad a great experience in Astoria. Was welcomed by their friendly and helpful staff. Everyone greets you with a smile and everyone is willing to help may it be with queries or directions and even with taking your great photos in the resort. The rooms were clean, and homey. Rooms are equipped with microwaves and table wares for when you order room service. The resort has great amenities and you will not get bored with activities you can do during your stay. Their breakfast buffet is something we look forward to every morning. They serve delicious and freshly cooked food. They have fast and reliable WiFi for those who work on the go. It was a stay I would remember and recommend all the time.

CChristopher VongTravelled as a couple and it was great locale. Gar enough away to have privacy though to far to walk anywhete . Though bit a problem, there are always plenty of tricycles and it was only 40php to get to town. Service was great with our waiters. The internet was spotty at best but we didnt need it much and it was good enough to get uodates and book what we needed. Dont expect to be able to stream anything The gym was well filled out with pretty much all you need. Food was okay though heavy on the msg. I would avoid the spa / massage. My wife got one and it wad a waste of money. They didnt know what they were doing and my wife left. In terms

GGuest UserMantiloc resort is a paradise. If you are looking for a relaxing time in a unique spot this place is for you. The staff are so kind and helpful, they make it an amazing stay. The half day boat trip is also well worth it and one of the best parts of our trip. The menu could do with being expanded, with more vegetarian and vegan options. Also a barista coffee option would make it perfect., though a nespresso machine was a available upon request

MMayaaaaaFrom the moment we began our journey with the hotel’s private transfer service, everything was exceptional. The staff’s friendliness is truly top-notch—they made us feel welcome and cared for every step of the way. Their private port is a total game-changer: no long lines, no hassle, and a smooth, stress-free process from pick-up to drop-off. The team at the port was incredibly warm and accommodating, and the fresh welcome drinks were a delightful treat you must try! The boat ride itself was seamless, and having priority access meant we bypassed travel taxes and lines entirely—highly recommend this service! Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with big smiles and warm hearts. The welcome surprise waiting in our room was such a thoughtful touch—it made us feel instantly special. As for the amenities, it’s clear they’re working on upgrades, and we’re excited to see what’s to come. We had a blast playing table tennis, though the balls could use a refresh. One small wish—we’d love for the pool hours to extend a little later! Now, a special shoutout to the dream team: Mund, Gie, Gino, Noel and Sandy—our private tour guides who went above and beyond in every way. They made us feel like royalty! Always attentive, always caring, and full of heart. I even had a minor accident and bruised my leg, and their first-aid response was immediate and professional. Without a doubt, we highly recommend booking a private tour with them. It’s not just a tour—it’s a memorable experience led by the kindest, most amazing people. Can’t wait to return! P.s their private pier are the best for sunset

GGuest UserSecond booking with Vela Terraces and we made the same request to put us in a lower floor so we don’t have to climb all the stairs with our young toddler but unfortunately they were fully booked so we got a room on the 4th floor. It wasn’t that bad because the staff helped move ALL our luggage for us and we had 2 large hard suitcases plus a huge backpack carrier and multiple smaller bags which were all heavy. Very much appreciated the help! Since we knew about all the stairs from the reviews, there’s nothing to complain about. Despite no free upgrade because they were fully booked, the bed like the first time was very comfortable and the service was just as good as the first. The bathroom however wasn’t as nice as the Family room which was where we stayed during our first visit. It’s an open shower with a piece of glass that covers half the shower but water can still spray out. The bathroom light kept flickering and there were some ants. But all in all, it was still a good stay. AC worked well and they provided bottled water. If you want a better room, book the Family room on the 2nd floor! It makes a difference! The hotel is close to Dayon Kamo Food park which is a cute place with multiple food stalls. Great food, live music, love the atmosphere!

AAnonymous UserThis place is fantastic! Location-wise, it’s really great. It’s very near the city’s commercial establishments and great restaurants - 5-minute drive on average. It’s also near the airport. The neighborhood in which it is in is very quiet and peaceful. So if you want a place that’s very accessible but still in a quiet location, this hotel is for you. I also would like to commend the staff - they’re all very warm and friendly. They were very accommodating and gladly answered all our questions about our travel. This hotel has a resort vibe so you really get to relax. It has great amenities, a lovely pool, and a relaxing main reception hall with a billiard table and comfy couches. It also has an in-house restaurant which is great for those who don’t want to go out to dine. Our room was very clean, cozy and surprisingly large for its price. We would definitely book this place again when we visit Puerto Princesa in the future. Definitely worth the price! 🫶
