Great
OODST118This is easily the best hotel/BNB I’ve ever stayed in. My entire family felt completely relaxed and able to recuperate both mentally and physically. It was a much-needed respite for everyone. The amenities, room and view were phenomenal. The attached Antara shopping mall has plenty of food, shopping and basic groceries options. Getting to Genting first world from Antara Genting on a weekday night was a bit of a challenge (via grab / cab) but thankfully we drove so it wasn’t a major issue. Hotel parking was reasonable at ~MYR$5 a day. The credit card refund for the $200 security deposit was also very quick and efficient. We’ll definitely be back at Antara Genting CoBNB.
LLulu.MalaysiaOverall, the resort feels refreshed and in great condition after the renovation.
The warm-water swimming pool was definitely a plus point — we enjoyed it so much! 🏊🏻♀️
There are plenty of in-house activities, including family-friendly sports, which kept everyone entertained throughout our stay.
The free hourly shuttle to GPO was also very convenient and made getting around so much easier. 👍🏻
EEGKediMy husband suggested this place for our 33rd marriage anniversary and I'm thankful that we came for our 4 nights stay here! We stayed at the Deluxe King Room.
Firstly the immediate response with an official/personal email from the GM Mr Tony Teh acknowledging our booking and asking if we needed anything - this is exceptional and personal which gives us such warm feelings even before we started our stay!
We forgot to notify in advance about our anniversary, yet upon check in, Mr Hykal who attended to us assured us that he would check about the matter. And just happened Ms Lynn who is the Public Relations in charge was at the Front Office received what I shared and she purposely made a special effort in making the special arrangements upon seeing my email reply to their GM.
We chose the Sky Cafe to have our anniversary dinner - The special decorations done in the room (as a surprise to my husband) and the special table set-up for our dinner with a special discount for our anniversary dinner. On top of it the Chef Mr Phyo personally blessed us with his special-bake chocolate cake!
The GM personally came up to the Sky Cafe to meet with us, such warmth and kindness!
Upon arrival as we were lazy to go out, we ordered room service and the nasi goreng was super yummy!
The daily breakfast is amazing - food is delicious (had the chance to chat with the Chef Shahrul), with different spreads throughout our four days. All the staff in the Breakfast place are exceptionally friendly, polite, helpful and always with smiles!
These are the personnel that I managed to get their names -
At the Front Office, Mr Hykal and Mr Sharul were the first who attended to us with the rest who were very helpful to our enquiries as well: Sofy, Najwa & Syirah.
A special shout-out to the Housekeeping team under the leadership of Mr Hafis - who did such a great job in making such special decorations in the room!
The Sky Cafe Team who served us during our anniversary dinner - Mr Azrael, Ms Fazlin and Chef Mr Phyo.
And the Restaurant great team inside the kitchen and outside the restaurant area under the Manager (I can't recall his name) who were very attentive!
Ohh, the night views of Genting Hilltop from the Rooftop Pool area - superb!
Mr Tony Teh, you have a great asset - your Team is amazing! Thank you for making our 33rd anniversary a memorable one, and we are already considering coming back again!
JJoeyfnlimMy stay here was excellent. The hotel's overall environment was comfortable, the room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were complete, making for a very pleasant stay. The hotel's location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around and dine nearby.
The staff's service attitude was great, and the overall check-in process was smooth. The room's cleanliness and comfort were satisfying. This is definitely a hotel worth recommending.
I will certainly consider staying here again if I have the chance in the future! ✨
GGuest UserBooked the Family Room, which can accommodate up to 6 guests. Our room was located in the building nearest to the link bridge to SkyAvenue, which was convenient.
Overall, I would say the hotel room was average. The room looks rather dated, with visible wear and tear on the furniture. The shower water pressure was also quite weak, and the hot water was intermittent — it could suddenly turn very hot, which can be dangerous especially for young children.
While the hotel is relatively near SkyAvenue, there is still quite a bit of walking involved. I had booked another room for my elderly parents, but unfortunately, their room was allocated in a different building. They had to walk across the link bridge to get to our building, which was inconvenient as they have difficulty walking.
Another thing to note is that check-in is largely self-service via kiosks. The hotel staff do not check you in at the counter, and I found the kiosk system not very intuitive. This could be particularly challenging for elderly guests who may not be familiar with using such systems.
Overall, the main advantage is the location and the availability of larger family rooms, but the rooms could definitely do with some upgrading. I would also recommend families travelling with elderly guests to request rooms in the same building in advance, if possible.
AAnonymous Usera 6/10 stay for me bcs some facilities aren’t accessible if you dont pay for it. the pool is crowded with people on weekends you barely have enough space to swim. sky pool at hard rock requires you to buy food and drinks then only can enter. the tiles are cracked and you dont get to see much of the carpet sky even though i paid for mountain view. the most annoying part is the receptionist they take HOURS to give you your room key theres a long line
AAnonymous UserHad a lovely 3D2N stay at Windmill Genting with my family. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing. We really enjoyed the cool weather and comfortable environment.
There are also plenty of restaurants and convenience stores downstairs, which made everything very easy and convenient during our stay.
Overall, we had a great time and felt very relaxed throughout the trip. Definitely a nice place for a short family getaway!
TTerrence8488The check-in experience was horrible, was informed by estate management that room was not ready even at 4:30pm (chk in supposed to be 3:00pm). Trip.com has to step in but seems the communication between Trips.com and estate management ((Stonez7) does not go well. I somehow managed to get into the unit at 5.00pm after few round of close follow-up.
The room was cosy but cleanliness could be improved. Dust still found on the floor. The shower temperature is hard to control. In most cases, we have to bathe with cold water.
We were asked to leave the unit by 11:00am on the final day. Even though we have been informed during check in that they have extended our check out time by additional 2 hours. This is totally a big disappointment as seems there has been miscommunication here and there.
Anyway, plus point is that the unit come with balcony and view is nice.
We are fortunate to see double rainbow from our balcony.
GGuest UserThe suite was good and spacious. It has balcony and the facility around that area is quite good. The view also nice. There is a few cafe to choose from, and retail outlet like The News and KK Mart outlet. There are basic room item provided such as iron and iron board, slippers, toothbrush, soap & Shampoo, kettle, coffee & tea, mugs, TV, safety box and hair dryer, but there is no mineral/drinking water, small fridge or microwave provided. However the check in is quite tricky as you may find the person arranging check in staying in the alley nearby The News outlet, there is no proper reception counter available. The customer service will not answer your call. They only reply via what's app so do not bother to call, you may get scolded by the lady who answered. This can be said as not a hotel service, so do not expect that kind of services from this provider. It is more like AirBnB style. However it was a nice stay just during the night i don't know why there is strange shouting and yelling and disturbing sound once in a while came out from nowhere. so it's quite disturbing my sleep a few time wake up in a shock hearing something unwelcoming sound. But if your ear is sound proof while sleeping i think it will not becoming a problem to you.
AAnonymous UserRoom look old. Window glass outside also moldy and a lot of algae. We change room 2 time. We choose high floor.
1st change room very Smelly bad odour and feel crippy. Terrible can't stay. Got something pasted at the wall.
