Ibis Hotels in Phuket

The front desk staff don't speak Chinese, which was a bit of a surprise since the hotel advertises that they do. While I could communicate in English, it wasn't ideal. The front desk staff were very friendly though! The hotel facilities aren't as complete as described on the website. No laundry room was quite inconvenient, and the clothes hangers in the room are fixed, so I couldn't take them down to dry clothes properly. The walls were also leaking, and everything got wet during my three-day stay. The soundproofing isn't great either. However, it's worth mentioning that the hotel is incredibly close to the beach. The location is absolutely unbeatable! It would be much better if the facilities were improved.

This is definitely the top pick for value for money during peak season. The location is great, about a 10-minute walk to Kata Beach, or you can take the hotel's free shuttle. Right outside, there's a 7-Eleven, a pharmacy, and various restaurants along the road, including a Burger King. The hotel has two swimming pools, which, though not huge, are perfectly fine for kids to splash around in. Breakfast costs 250 baht for adults and 150 baht for children; the selection is good enough to fill you up, and it's never crowded. The family room comes with a bunk bed and a 1.5-meter large bed. The quality control is impressive – no deposit was required, and both check-in and check-out were very quick. To have such a good experience during peak season, I'm extremely satisfied. There's a big massage parlor right at the entrance, including a mini Green Leaf branch. There are also two ATMs, one orange and one purple.
