"I came to Phuket for a week and booked Mitsu Guesthouse Karon Beach. After staying for a few days, I loved this hotel so much that I decided to extend my stay for another five days. It was very convenient: I could extend my stay either online or directly at the reception.
I stayed in room 204. The room was very cozy, clean, and well-equipped. It had a safe, a kettle, a refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, a small kitchenette, and a table. There was also a spacious balcony with a table and chairs. I especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning or evening, enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful mountain view.
Housekeeping was excellent every day. Towels and bed linen were changed regularly, and drinking water, coffee, and toiletries were replenished. The room was always clean and pleasant to return to after my outings.
I want to particularly thank the staff. Everyone was very friendly, polite, and always ready to help. They regularly asked if everything was to my liking and if I was comfortable. Such attentive service creates the feeling that they genuinely care about their guests.
The hotel is very quiet, and the neighbors are considerate, so I could get a great night's sleep. Throughout my stay, I felt safe and comfortable.
The location is also excellent. A 7-Eleven, small markets, cafes, and restaurants are very close by, and the beach is just a few minutes' walk away. At the hotel entrance, there's a small, cozy coffee shop where I could buy delicious iced coffee for less than a dollar – that became a pleasant tradition for me before my walks.
I'm so glad I chose this hotel. It has a cozy atmosphere, cleanliness, attentive staff, and everything needed for both short and long stays. If I come to Karon Beach again, I will definitely stay here. I wholeheartedly recommend Mitsu Guesthouse Karon Beach to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and cozy place to spend their vacation."

22morrowsworldMy initial thought on this accommodation business is in some ways positive. If it is viewed purely as a 'hostel' with an associated coffee shop, then it definitely has attributes (and I'll come back to those later).
But if taken at face value on the basis of its tariff cost and amenities, both real and indicated, then there are several problems with it. The first is the way the premises is represented on the Trip com platform.
Photographs of the double bedroom include one of a bathroom. The attached text description and its context makes the plain implication that the room has an ensuite bathroom, which it does not. If little scrutiny is applied when reading the description, this fact will escape the readers attention. Anyone looking to make a reservation quickly can easily be misled (inadvertently?) into believing that this is a 'hotel' style room. Many hostels do offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms after all. The bathroom is communal and is inconveniently located on the ground floor. Rooms are above this.
A second related criticism is the room size description - 18 m sq is quoted. The room has dimensions of 3 x 3.5 m. That is, about 10 m sq !
Although late February is still peak season in Phuket, it has to be said that the room tariff of almost $60 AUD per night is exorbitant. It may be considered acceptable for a 18 m sq hotel style room, given the circumstances, but a room of this kind at this particular locality ought to be offered at a lower price. Having said this, I concede that the reservation was made late and in haste.
Now onto the good things. The 10 m sq double bed room has old but high quality wooden furniture which serves its purpose well. The air conditioning is responsive and strong
There is a large kitchen next to the bathroom/wash basin (trough). It's equipped with a large fridge, sink, cutlery etc as well as a coffee maker ( + ground coffee). A delicious banana cake was offered to guests. Clothes can be washed and dried via a coin operated machine.
Other attributes include the woman owner/ manager who has a professional approach and an attitude very well suited to the hospitalality jndustry. The coffee shop also makes decent coffees and ham n cheese croissants.

Cons:
1. No elevator, and the latter half of the stairs are open-sided, which is something to consider if you have a lot of luggage.
2. The bed had bugs, lots of ants, basically felt like I was sleeping with them.
3. There's a night market right below. The sign says it closes at 10 PM, but one night they were still singing past 11 PM. Other times, it wasn't even open.
4. The shower water pressure was too low, and the temperature wasn't hot enough.
5. The air conditioner made noise when changing the fan mode, and on the last day, the cooling effect was poor.
6. They charged extra for an additional blanket in a double room, and later I found bloodstains on it...

AAnonymous User********* the Burmese woman made the stay unpleasant and uncomfortable for myself and multiple other guests. @Owner, consider replacing this employee with a Thai person who has customer service skills. Promote someone in the group that comes in to cook breakfast and clean. Cleaning should be prioritized to a higher degree - the floors and bathrooms are cleaned once per day. There is black mold growing from standing water in the second floor bathroom. This place has potential to be great, but lack of management has it going downhill quick.

FfionazhiqinThe location is very convenient, with a 7-Eleven right downstairs. At night, there is live singing downstairs, sometimes quite late. Not sure if it’s only on certain days, but light sleepers should take note.
The bed space is fairly spacious, and each bed comes with 4 hangers, a small lockable box for valuables, and access to large luggage lockers. However, there is only one power outlet per bed. My room has 8 beds in total and a small common area, though it feels a bit unmanaged and more like a storage space.
On the 1st floor, guests can use a fridge, water dispenser, microwave, and enjoy free snacks like biscuits, bananas, coffee, and tea. The shower area is on the 3rd floor, which is convenient, but the water pressure is weak, and the toiletries are quite basic.
Overall, this is a budget-friendly hostel in a good location, suitable if you don’t mind some noise and simple facilities.

DDonドニMy first time staying at a deck dorm style.The manager was willing to come, and did check in for me in the middle of the night. Do the 200 Baht refundable deposit. Give me the towel. Informed me to the rule of no sandal/shoes at 2nd floor to maintain the floor kept clean.
That is all you can see.
Nice room, chill, no noise in the room, and other ”I am sleeping” rules.
If you have an issue of not using sandals in the bathroom, then honestly you just need a hotel with a private room. Yeah, upper deck was scary. I dreamt of falling down 😪
Well, deck dorm style is not just for me. But a good experience here, and with 217 Baht (including tax) I paid, it is worth the money.
This hotel provides breakfast too. Something I don't really expect 😁😁
They also give me a key gift over a checkout. For sure, I get my 200 Baht back.

Nnikky2305I absolutely loved this budget-friendly hotel! The staff were excellent, and the cleaning was good. They provide beach towels at the reception upon request. I checked in quickly in the evening and they took a deposit which was later returned. I stayed in a room on the 4th floor with a partial view of the mosque. Neither the street noise nor the calls to prayer ever bothered me. I had a fantastic time, thank you all so much!
There are local cafes near the hotel offering affordable American breakfasts, as well as plenty of shops. I enjoy walking and exploring, so I had no trouble getting around or walking to the sea. Wishing everyone good luck and happy travels!

MMUHAMMAD HADIMGood clean and neat all facilities available I stayed at this hostel for four days, and I really liked it a lot. The hostel is very clean, neat, and well-maintained. It offers many facilities, which made the stay comfortable.
For hot water, they have a water dispenser that provides both hot and cold water. Tea, coffee, and sugar are also available for guests. Overall, almost all necessary facilities are provided. The only thing missing was a toaster, but everything else was very good.
The hostel is clean, the environment is pleasant, and it is located close to the main road. It is also very near to the airport—you can even walk to the airport. I personally walked to the airport and back, and it was very convenient.
I really liked the place, the atmosphere is clean and friendly, and I would highly recommend this hostel to others. If you are looking for a place to stay, I recommend staying here.
I rented one bed, staying two days first and then another two days.
