Udomsuk Hotel

Udomsuk Hotel ★★★

📍 J379+JMC, 201 Hatthakumsuksa Alley, Mueang Satun District, Phiman, Satun

"This guesthouse is also worth the price. I stayed in the Small Economy room. The room is extremely small, but sufficient for one person to sleep in and out of. It was cleaned thoroughly and had a clean feel. The bathroom was also well cleaned. The staff were friendly, and there was one very pretty woman. Here, all the staff do everything from customer service to cleaning. There is no tendency to look down on the cleaning staff. There are a fair number of restaurants around the guesthouse, so you won't have any trouble finding food. The types of restaurants change between breakfast and dinner. There are also places to drink at night. However, the 7-Eleven is a bit far, about 800 meters away. It was quite comfortable, and since I wasn't in a hurry, I ended up staying for two nights after negotiating directly with the guesthouse. I rarely come to Satun, but if I have the opportunity, I would like to stay here again."

Sinkiat Thani Hotel

Sinkiat Thani Hotel ★★★

📍 50 Buriwanich Rd, Phiman, Satun

"The room was spacious and worth the price. I got a room on the 7th floor with a beautiful view. It's close to many restaurants. The bathroom is spacious and the water pressure is good. However, the shower head is old and a bit worn. Overall, it's very good. It's close to the Saturday Walking Street."

📍 114/12 Soi Ratchadaautit Samuntapradit Road, Phiman, Satun

"Host was very warm and welcoming us when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay even only for 1 night. They provide water dispenser which is very convenient. Some games card and physical were also provided and my kids love to play them. It makes them occupied than attached to their gadget. The bed is soooo comfy. We really love this villa and will book this villa when we plan to go to Satun again. Thank you 🥰"

Bundhaya Resort
8.9 (354 reviews)

Bundhaya Resort ★★★

📍 147 Moo7 Kohsarai, Muang, Koh Lipe

"This was quite an underwhelming experience. After a long journey to Koh Lipe, I arrived at a hotel costing almost a thousand baht a night. The room facilities were quite rundown, and even the outdoor shower was broken. I tried to be understanding, as it's an island after all, but the service was also lacking. When I found a large cockroach in the middle of the night, the front desk was already closed. Despite being beachfront, there wasn't a single shaded seating area, and the beach loungers were just plastic. They didn't even provide beach towels. Compared to the Anaya Resort next door, this place looked significantly inferior, even from the outside. Perhaps the villas are better. The sea directly in front of the resort had a lot of rocks, and the fish would bite – I even got a nasty bite on my leg! The only good thing was the location. Book at your own discretion."

The Gleam Resort

The Gleam Resort ★★★

📍 61 Sathityuttitham Rd, Phiman, Satun

"Loved this small family run hotel. Found on Google maps, book via Facebook or email/call. On TA it looks full but it’s not. Owner was really helpful and quick booking & great rate for really nicely designed rooms. Beautiful gardens, pool and lots animals. Really helpful man called Dow ordered us food when we arrive late and in the Am - lady, J also took me to 7/11 for breakfast. Perfect spot before the ferry to Langkawi 🙏 arranged pick-up to port for 250b - 10 mins away"

Mali Resort Sunrise Beach Koh Lipe Hotels in Satun

Mali Resort Sunrise Beach Koh Lipe

"Great location, right next to Anda and sharing the same beach. The service was pretty average. On our first day, we wanted to borrow a kayak from the beach bar, but were told we had to be back within 30 minutes because of an incoming low tide. Ironically, you can rent a kayak anytime for 200 baht from a dedicated vendor just a short distance away. The hotel's landscaping is beautiful, and the pool is large with plenty of loungers. Breakfast is a set menu with a few options, which is acceptable for a short stay. Overall, the staff's attitude was generally unenthusiastic; smiles were rare. The front desk only operates until 5 PM, so make sure to voice any requests before then, or you'll have to wait until the next day."

Good Mood Resort Hotels in Satun

Good Mood Resort

"I strongly advise against staying at Good Mood Resort. Our group of seven (4 adults, 3 children) was left stranded shortly after arriving on the island on the last ferry at 3:00 PM. Upon arrival, we discovered that the resort was unable to provide us with decent accommodations. They attempted to accommodate us in an impossible manner by placing an extra mattress on the floor between the bed and the balcony door. This meant that a family of two was supposed to sleep in one small room. When we started asking questions and asking for an explanation as to why no one had informed us in advance that we wouldn't fit, the staff completely cut us off. Instead of seeking a solution, they insisted it was our fault and that "we knew about it beforehand." This is absurd – no one flies from Poland with children for so long to deliberately book them to sleep on the floor in the aisle. When our questions became too much for them, the owner simply canceled our reservation and called the police to remove us from the property. We were left homeless with terrified children during peak season, knowing that no more boats were leaving the island. This is a cynical exploitation of the forced situation of tourists on the islands. The website *********** completely failed, offering us "alternative" accommodation in Pattaya on the mainland, hundreds of kilometers away – someone hadn't even looked at the map. Only thanks to the intervention of a police officer, who was incredibly helpful and admitted that this wasn't the first time such a situation had occurred at this resort, did we manage to find accommodation elsewhere. Avoid this place. Their high ratings are highly questionable when compared to reality and their lack of any empathy or professionalism."

Idyllic Concept Resort Hotels in Satun

Idyllic Concept Resort

"Was a bit far from the main area, and the hotel provided only one shuttle per day. We actually booked a room with a different design and got a completely different room. When we asked to see the other rooms, they showed us rooms with the same design as the first, instead of just saying they renovated the room. We didn’t get any compensation for this inconvenience. Some of the buildings needed renovations. The whole floor around our room was super dirty and disgusting. A lot of stairs in the hotel if you want to go down to the beach and restaurant area. Also was pretty expensive and was not worth the price in my opinion. Pros - very nice breakfast. Gorgeous beach area. Nice staff. Clean room."

Bundhaya Villas Hotels in Satun

Bundhaya Villas

"The hotel staffs offer great service. They provide luggage pick-up and drop-off service between the jetty and our room. Hotel is at the right most end of the Pattaya beach after getting off from the jetty, which is about a quick 5minutes walk. Near to the walking street which is very convenient, with a lot of restaurants and massage shops. However, the floor of the room is very sticky, aircond takes a long time to bring down the temperature too. Cleanliness can be improved."

Irene Resort Koh Lipe Hotels in Satun

Irene Resort Koh Lipe

"Let's start with the positives: the location and environment are truly excellent, no complaints there. But that's pretty much where it ends. For a hotel that costs 2000 per night, my biggest takeaway is this: it charges luxury hotel prices, but the service doesn't match up at all. The water situation is truly frustrating. I understand that the water quality on a small island isn't always great, and I even brought a filter showerhead. I can accept it turning yellow after two days. However, the bathroom water consistently smells strongly of sewage as soon as you turn it on, and it's not occasional – it's a constant issue. Even the water for washing up has that smell; you start questioning your life choices while showering. The room assignment also felt discriminatory. I had emailed more than a month in advance, and again two days before check-in, to link my booking with my friend's. Yet, they ended up giving us the two furthest rooms, literally at the very end of the corridor. One end room would be understandable, but deliberately giving us two end rooms? The bathroom floor is also very slippery, and there's a small step at the entrance, which is a safety hazard. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. As for the service, it's even more subtle. It's not that there aren't staff, but their presence feels off. We asked for an ice bucket several times and it never came. We waited so long for our food order that we wondered if it had been forgotten. At check-out, there were six staff members at the front desk, all busy with their own things, and we just stood there waiting, with no one asking if we needed help. We eventually had to ask ourselves, and only then did they print out a bill for payment on the spot. Regarding the WiFi, it's not non-existent, but it disconnected countless times over four days. After reporting it several times, initially, NO ONE replied! You wouldn't believe it, absolutely no one. Later, I called and got angry, and they sent a very mean female employee who asked, "Does it work now?" with an expression that said, "What can you do to me?" After I complained, the legendary "manager" provided a "VIP WiFi." What does that mean, they don't give good WiFi to begin with? Another overall impression is that their enthusiasm for "paid services" is significantly higher. I tried to book an island hopping tour via email in advance, but upon check-in, they said they couldn't arrange it and then immediately started recommending other dates. The return boat ticket was initially quoted at 2100. For convenience, we said we'd let them book it, but two days later, it became 2500. There was never any formal quotation, just messages typed in an app. We compared it to the walking street nearby, where it was about 2300. The price difference isn't even the main point; it's the uncomfortable experience. Replies to regular requests are extremely slow, but as soon as a paid item is involved, the response speed immediately increases. Overall, if you're just coming to take photos and enjoy the scenery, this place is fine. But if you're looking for a hotel vacation, especially since Koh Lipe itself isn't big and all beaches are public, this price is not worth it for a resort experience. The only thing I want to praise is the guy who's in charge of fruits and juices at breakfast. He has a great attitude and is very diligent. He keeps all the juice combinations timely and accurate, and even brings them to your table. It was one of the few genuinely attentive services we received during our stay."

"The room is overall clean except for the bathroom which seemed to be unclean from past guest night. Women hair in curl on the drain. Room could provide herbal tea bags. Staff service was very polite and helpful although could be more informative about travel and city since this is a regular place. For the price of 1000 bahts without breakfast, the hotel room could have more attention eg. flattened mattress quality, poor drain, dirty shower, better lighting, minibar items. Hotels rooms in the price range of 900-1200 THB in Krabi, Trang, and Hat Yai have cleaner and fresh interior. We hope Satun could offer similar rooms."

Harmony Bed & Bakery Hotels in Satun

"Noisy. Booked this place on lipe as the island was full and their was little choice left. Booked a superior room with terrace. These rooms are on the main street. It is impossible to sleep. The motorbikes and tuk tuks speed up the road all night throughout the night. The balcony door has no soundproofing at all. The shower is pathetic and has no flow that is of any use. Regretably my booking is none refundable or id move. The room has a large skylight and port hole windows which flood the room with light all night. The reception staff are lovely but at the end of the day the noise is unaceptable. The toilet leaks and is flushable every 30 minutes due to the water pressure. The road outside is like a grand prix circuit. This review is for the superior rooms with terrace!"

"We stayed here for one night with my friend and my mother, and we booked three rooms. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were very helpful in assisting us with our luggage and bringing it to our rooms. As for the amenities, everything we needed was provided. The room came with an iron and ironing board, bidet, kettle, and refrigerator, so it was very convenient. Overall, everything was good. The only issue we faced was with the Wi-Fi. We had to request four different Wi-Fi vouchers because the previous ones kept showing as expired. Also, each voucher could only be used on two devices, which was a bit inconvenient for our group."

"A lovely older hotel, but well-maintained (very good by Thai standards). The staff is very friendly and helpful. On the street in front of the hotel, there are many restaurants, a Lotus Fresh Market, two 7-1s, and a hospital. I can wholeheartedly recommend it."

"It's centrally located, close to both a food market and a grocery market. Sights within walking distance include the city museum, a mosque, a Chinese temple, a Buddhist temple, and streets adorned with street art. We were placed on the 7th floor, which offered beautiful views of the city and river. The window overlooked the courtyard, so street noise wasn't a problem. There's no kettle, but they provide two bottles of water and toiletries for the bathroom. It's a plus that they provide a third pillow for the bed; I like two pillows. The bed is comfortable, and the room is spacious and bright. Breakfast wasn't included with the booking, but you can purchase it on site for 120 baht per person (scrambled eggs, sausages, and toast). Ferry tickets to Langkawi are available at reception. We had some minor plumbing issues (water pressure, clogged sink; I recommend the hotel install a strainer in the sink, otherwise everything gets in there because there's no stopper)."

"The deluxe villas are extremely small with no wardrobe to keep your clothes. The water pressure in the shower was very low hence showering was a bit challenging. Breakfast was good with various selection. All in all for the price we paid we can’t really complain . The spa was great, best massages we got while in koh lipe."

"Super private and quiet . It's on a beautiful garden setting with nice pool . The room was superb. I was the only one there and it seems a shame when the room was so well designed and the gardens amazing . The google map for the driveway is off by 100 metres I informed google . The roadside sign needs to be a bit bigger tricky to find . ."
