The hotel exceeded all our expectations: stylish interior, maximum comfort, and a perfect location. The Yu Garden is literally right outside, and the Bund and Nanjing Road are within easy walking distance.We stayed in room 2017, and it was love at first sight! The view from the windows was absolutely stunning and fantastic—we could admire the city skyline forever.A special, huge thank you goes to the housekeeping staff who took care of our room. The cleanliness was absolutely immaculate: the bathroom was sparkling, the bedding was always perfectly crisp and fresh, and the room looked flawless every single day. The entire staff at the hotel is incredibly helpful, polite, and attentive, fulfilling any request instantly.But the absolute treasure of this hotel is, of course, the amazing Eric!Eric is a true professional and an incredibly kind, caring person. From the very first moment, he surrounded us with such warmth and hospitality that we felt completely at home. He helped us with absolutely everything, paid great attention to every little detail, and always greeted us with a genuine, warm smile. Thanks to his dedication, our vacation went perfectly smoothly. My friends came to Shanghai for a summer vacation, and we chose to stay at the Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel due to its convenient transportation. I specifically booked an Executive Premium Twin Room. The room was clean and quite spacious. However, there were two issues: first, the windowsill was leaking a bit, and there was a musty smell when entering the room, which felt a bit below a 5-star hotel standard. Second, the shower pressure was too low, making it inconvenient for showering, especially in the middle of summer. Service: A positive point was that we arrived at the hotel at 11 AM to check in, and they proactively contacted us at 12 PM to let us know a room was available. The downside was that for breakfast on August 3rd, I clearly purchased two portions, but the front desk on the 26th floor only said I bought one when swiping the card, and they even followed us into the restaurant to stop us. This definitely detracted from the experience. In summary, I'm deducting half a star for service and ambiance, and one star for facilities.

The room was great, absolutely no signs of age, and the breakfast was incredibly rich with a wide variety of options, including Shanghainese noodles! The location is super convenient, close to both taxis and the subway. Plus, there are two commercial areas right outside, making dining very easy.

The hotel's location is quite far from the city center. The decor is average. My main complaint is about the staff's service attitude; overall, both their service and professionalism need improvement. First, at 9:20 AM, we went to the first floor for breakfast. A woman in a gray uniform stopped us at the restaurant entrance, telling us it was peak dining time and we had to wait to be seated because there were no empty tables inside. We offered to go in and find a table ourselves to avoid bothering the staff. The employee immediately dropped her fake smile and insisted we wait at the door. When we finally entered, we found many empty tables. Throughout our meal, staff repeatedly came over to remind us that breakfast service ended at 10 AM and urged us to hurry and get whatever we wanted to eat. Second, when checking out, a tall male staff member at the front desk was unsmiling and impatient, answering my questions with rhetorical questions. While the 800+ yuan room rate isn't high, the service attitude of some staff members is probably only worth 250 yuan. I hope the hotel strengthens its staff's ethical and professional training! In short, this is not a recommended hotel.

The facilities are complete, comfortable, spacious, and bright, feeling quite new! The hygiene is excellent, and toiletries are fully stocked. The environment is quiet and pleasant, a true oasis in Shanghai. It's close to the subway station and InCity shopping mall, making shopping and dining very convenient! The service quality is top-notch; my room was upgraded, and I even received complimentary breakfast. The buffet breakfast is abundant and high-class. There's a gym and an indoor swimming pool; even if only one person is swimming, there are two lifeguards and one attendant on duty. The water quality is clear and good! A truly amazing experience!

I booked for my parents for 2 nights stay with breakfast buffets arrangement as a summer gift to them. I observed that my parents have been very well looked after by hotel staff and very much enjoyed their stay in the hotel. The hotel showed their care to customers in all possible details. I noticed my parents have been allocated in a lovely, spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet room. Hotel even showed their good gesture to provide 1) one additional snacks meals with drinks in bar area; 2) fruits to their room, 3) due to heavy storm in Shanghai, the hotel even automated offered my parents to check out at 2pm from their room (ordinary check-out time should be 12pm, lunch time). All I listed are free without asking first additional charges. From all these, including the feedback from my parents, I feel they had a great stay. And the mostly important thing is the hotel show their care and support about the safety and wellbeing of their customers. It’s a huge valuable point for anybody stay away from home and in their travels. Sincere thanks to the hotel staff and management.
