We had a wonderful 5-day stay in Shanghai with our family. We booked club rooms, which gave us access to the Club Lounge on the 17th floor with panoramic views of Shanghai. We opted for a Suite and a Studio room. The beds and pillows were excellent. Breakfast offered everything one could wish for – especially delicious soups, noodles, and dumplings... We will definitely return. There's a metro station nearby, and the main attractions are just a 15-20 minute walk away. In the mornings, we enjoyed strolls along the waterfront. There's a small pool on the 21st floor, and the changing rooms have a steam sauna, which you need to request to be turned on in advance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your hospitality. We will definitely be back.

My friends came to Shanghai for a summer vacation, and we chose to stay at the Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel due to its convenient transportation.

I specifically booked an Executive Premium Twin Room. The room was clean and quite spacious. However, there were two issues: first, the windowsill was leaking a bit, and there was a musty smell when entering the room, which felt a bit below a 5-star hotel standard. Second, the shower pressure was too low, making it inconvenient for showering, especially in the middle of summer.

Service: A positive point was that we arrived at the hotel at 11 AM to check in, and they proactively contacted us at 12 PM to let us know a room was available. The downside was that for breakfast on August 3rd, I clearly purchased two portions, but the front desk on the 26th floor only said I bought one when swiping the card, and they even followed us into the restaurant to stop us. This definitely detracted from the experience.

In summary, I'm deducting half a star for service and ambiance, and one star for facilities.

Our stay exceeded expectations! Manager Baird was incredibly attentive and helpful; he proactively upgraded our room and even upgraded my science museum tickets to student price, which I really appreciate. The room was clean and comfortable, and the environment was quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the swimming pool and gym facilities were all available for use. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. As expected from a Marriott property, the quality is reliable and it offers good value for money. Definitely worth a return visit.

I booked for my parents for 2 nights stay with breakfast buffets arrangement as a summer gift  to them. I observed that my parents have been very well looked after by hotel staff and very much enjoyed their stay in the hotel. The hotel showed their care to customers in all possible details. I noticed my parents have been allocated in a lovely, spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet room. Hotel even showed their good gesture to provide 1) one additional snacks meals with drinks in bar area; 2) fruits to their room, 3) due to heavy storm in Shanghai, the hotel even automated offered my parents to check out at 2pm from their room (ordinary check-out time should be 12pm, lunch time). All I listed are free without asking first additional charges. From all these, including the feedback from my parents, I feel they had a great stay. And the mostly important thing is the hotel show their care and support about the safety and wellbeing of their customers. It’s a huge valuable point for anybody stay away from home and in their travels. Sincere thanks to the hotel staff and management.

The hotel's location is quite far from the city center. The decor is average. My main complaint is about the staff's service attitude; overall, both their service and professionalism need improvement. First, at 9:20 AM, we went to the first floor for breakfast. A woman in a gray uniform stopped us at the restaurant entrance, telling us it was peak dining time and we had to wait to be seated because there were no empty tables inside. We offered to go in and find a table ourselves to avoid bothering the staff. The employee immediately dropped her fake smile and insisted we wait at the door. When we finally entered, we found many empty tables. Throughout our meal, staff repeatedly came over to remind us that breakfast service ended at 10 AM and urged us to hurry and get whatever we wanted to eat. Second, when checking out, a tall male staff member at the front desk was unsmiling and impatient, answering my questions with rhetorical questions. While the 800+ yuan room rate isn't high, the service attitude of some staff members is probably only worth 250 yuan. I hope the hotel strengthens its staff's ethical and professional training! In short, this is not a recommended hotel.

Everything about this hotel was great, especially the service. The staff were perfectly placed; just a wave in the lobby and someone would immediately come to assist. The breakfast was thoughtfully arranged with a private booth, and the manager was very kind, even helping to lift the curtain for us. We were traveling with family for the May Day holiday and forgot our razor and toothbrushes. They proactively provided toiletries, which were quite good, especially the razor – it was really sharp, unlike the dull ones at some other hotels. Overall, I was very satisfied. I would have been even happier if breakfast had been complimentary, as my child didn't eat much anyway.

The room was quite small, but clean. There wasn't much in terms of service, and overall, the value for money was pretty poor. Flushing isn't that big anyway, so staying in different areas probably doesn't make a huge difference. Besides being clean, there really aren't any other positives. The internet was also very bad.

It was absolutely brilliant at Renaissance New York Chelsea from the beginning to the end of our stay.

The reception staff arranged a room with amazing view per our request and explained well for everything the hotel could offer.

Room is morden, chic, spacious with great amenities and friendly housekeeping staff.

Breakfast was buffet style which was better than we expected and the hotel provides bottled water at the lobby throughout the day. 

We would highly recommend it!

The front desk lady that checked us in was super nice and understanding. She allowed us to check in early which was really appreciated since we flew in from CA and with the time different and able to rest for a bit in the room before we start our day was the best ever.

I booked this hotel because of a last-minute need, and it was quite good. It's quiet despite being in a busy area, the room was clean and comfortable, and all the facilities were complete. They even gave me a 25 RMB breakfast voucher. The free luggage storage service was also excellent.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a five-minute walk from Penn station, making it easy to catch the train and also convenient to take the LIRR or subway from JFK. The room was clean and the mattress was comfortable, but the room was rather small. Our midtown view room faced 34th Street, and the main problem was the terrible soundproofing. We could hear everything clearly, from the doors of rooms opposite to police cars passing by downstairs. Light sleepers should ask the front desk for a quiet room.

Traveling with family to Beijing, staying near Wangfujing was convenient. The hotel's brand, ambiance, and breakfast were all excellent. We booked an Executive Forbidden City View room specifically to see the golden roofs of the Forbidden City. The sunset views were amazing! You could also see the White Dagoba at Jingshan Park. On our second night, the front desk helped us move to a higher floor with a better view. We stayed for two consecutive nights and were very satisfied overall! 😀

I specifically came for Jolin Tsai's concert on Saturday, and my one-night stay at the Renaissance Beijing Capital on June 13th was absolutely fantastic. The front desk staff were professional and welcoming, with efficient and timely communication throughout. Any queries I had were met with quick responses and follow-ups, showing how much they value guest needs, providing meticulous and genuine service. The hotel's location is convenient, making travel to and from the concert hassle-free. The room was clean and tidy, ensuring a very pleasant rest. From reception to subsequent interactions, the professionalism was evident, with polite and warm service full of thoughtful touches. Although it was just a brief one-night stay for the concert, I received service far beyond my expectations, offering both great value for money and an excellent experience. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town for a show, and I sincerely recommend it to any concert-goers!

An excellent stay! The Renaissance Beijing Zhongguancun Hotel is perfectly located for business travelers frequenting the East Campus, making meetings incredibly convenient. The rooms are spacious, featuring smart controls and large desks that cater to a full day of work, complemented by stable, fast internet. The bathroom is well-designed with a wet and dry separation, and cleanliness standards are high. The daily executive lounge access for two offers great value, with the 18th-floor lounge providing expansive views, plenty of hot food in the evening, and a truly relaxing atmosphere at dusk. Breakfast is consistently good, with a wide variety of made-to-order options. The hotel also boasts a heated swimming pool and a 24-hour gym. The staff are polite and efficient, and parking is convenient. This hotel is ideal for long business trips and corporate entertaining. Five stars!
