YYinbaoThere is no free internet available, you need to purchase it for 3 pounds a day for two devices. It is a 12-minute walk from the train station and a ten-minute train ride to the center of Edinburgh. There is no hairdryer in the room. You can borrow it from the front desk or store your luggage. The hotel staff is friendly.
MMachenQuiet and clean.
Hill Hotel IBI is much cleaner than Free Inn.
While studying abroad in the UK, I had an obsession with cleanliness, never touching the curtains with my bare hands in hotels, B&Bs, etc. (I am obsessive to the dirty Europeans, but I am normal when you think of the average accommodation that is not cleaned even once from opening to closing).
It was cozy, clean, and there was no smell.
warmth.
In the winter, I shiver even when I wear a t-shirt and a padded vest over it, and even in the middle of summer in July and August, I turn on the electric blanket at night and early in the morning. But it was warm.
Above all, they are friendly and have a nice kitchen.
AAlba ABThe location is ideal, it is close to everything touristy, supermarkets, the bus stop that brings you from the airport,... They leave you the preparations to make coffee or tea in the room and you can even ask for more. If you do not request it, they do not enter your room to fix it, put new towels or coffee, it is done through a cardboard that is placed on the door.
The room is not big but you don't want more at all, the only drawback would be the shower which is fixed, it does not have a manual shower head.
I would definitely take this hotel again.

TTong PengFrom airport, take airlink100 and alight at haymaker.
Cross the road and walk back and look for street sign COATES GARDENS . Walk up the slope till you reach the end, there you will see travel lodge right in front of you. Most attractions are walkable and you do not require to buy any bus tickets. Hotel main door facing south east, if you book rooms above main hotel door direction, you will catch morning sun and take beautiful pictures.

GGuest UserIf you are looking for a room in Edinburgh with no frills but affordable this hotel ticks the boxes . It’s not much dearer than a dormitory but far more private with a room and shower . It’s also a fifteen minute walk to the centre and ten minutes to holy rood park and palace and opposite a pub and restaurant . It was very peaceful there and ideal for a budget friendly city visit
AAzibasuam LilianI loved the location as I had access to the park for the children and to the shop. I loved that the room had enough beds for all of us (5 people). I would have appreciated if we could get plates, as we came with food. It was great the room had a microwave. There was plumbing issues that delayed our shower time. But stay was good.
