Great
SShaun400seThe Moxy at EDI airport always works for us. It’s handy, polished, efficient and great value. However on this occasion our late night arrival (at 0130) to get some much needed sleep after a long late night journey, prior to picking up a hire car from AVIS at 0900 the following morning was selfishly marred by fellow guests.
Bluntly put, an apparently “elderly couple” in the room directly above us, on the 3rd floor of the hotel, had an early check in for a 7am flight. So they decided to get up at 2am! And they shuffled and they banged and they clanged and they knocked and they farted about for a period of 2+ hours until gone 4am when HALLELUJAH they finally left!
I have suggested to the hotel - the night manager btw was superb and did his best to deal with the situation, albeit to little effect - that ANYONE checking out for an early flight should be put in a ground or first floor room, so as not to create problems for fellow guests and incidentally - as we entered our room, showered and went to bed, we were as quiet as MICE so as not to put other fellow guests through exactly what we were then subjected to.
This issue is not really a hotel problem, it’s just selfish people at work, not thinking about the consequences of their actions, however the hotel probably could do with a check box when booking along the lines of “will you be checking in late or checking out early, if so please request a room on the ground or 1st floors”
Simples!

GGuest UserWe always try and book this hotel the day before we fly away on holidays. It's so convenient walking the 10mins to the airport. We hav6a relaxing evening with something to eat and drink before heading up to our comfortable room, as we are always up early for our early flight. Nice to have a quick breakfast as well. Although the hot breakfast doesn't start until 6am.

GGuest UserI booked a king-size bed room and requested a quiet and non-smoking room. Due to language problems, the check-in was very considerate. The front desk could store my luggage. The waiter took me to the room. Everyone was very friendly, which made me feel like God's treatment. The most important thing was that the room was clean and tidy as soon as I entered it, and the decoration was also very new. Wow, it was the blue-green color that I really liked. The whole room was warm and romantic, and I felt like I was back home. It was a very beautiful room and a very satisfactory stay experience. I will choose this place again next time. I must give them a big praise, like it! ! !

DDarren_in_BarcelonaReally comfortable and quiet hotel near Edinburgh Castle. Checkin was smooth, the staff are friendly, and the room was spacious. It’s also easy to reach the airport as the tram stop is around 5 minutes from the hotel on foot. The hotel offers secure luggage storage also! Amenities in the room could be improved! I’d stay here again during my next visit to Edinburgh.
IIBoy003Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile - Hunter Square is indeed a real surprise. It exceeds the boring standard of Ibis. We decided to stay at this hotel due to its location. As Diamond member, the hotel upgraded my room and provided all necessary welcome package. Thumbs up 👍! I didn’t expect this from Ibis. The breakfast was extremely rich and good. Another thumbs up! Some deficits to point out: (1) We found bugs in our room, the next day housekeeping did excellent cleaning, (2) The window was a massive issue, it couldn’t be opened widely (until < 1cm). Probably Ibis management can pay better attention in future. Last but not least, front desks and other staffs were very friendly. ☺️

GGuest UserIt’s a nice little hotel close to waverly station and other attractions like the old town and dean’s village - and a number of useful shops for food and other needs. The location is truly the highlight. It’s clean with comfortable beds and we found ourselves looking forward to returning here after a long day of adventures. We were even treated to free breakfast every day - a simple but delicious assortment of pastries, fruits, juices, coffee yogurt - currently available to all guests (but not sure if that’s always the case). The staff is friendly but not overly enthusiastic, which was fine for us.
However there are a few things which were a bit of an inconvenience. We were delayed in reaching the hotel due to train cancellations and wanted to contact the front desk to let them know of our situation. But when we tried to call them around 9pm, we had to ring them around 10 times to be in touch. The hotel does not provide basic amenities like bath robes, slippers or drinking water bottles (insisting guests use the bathroom tap) in standard rooms and these have to be purchased (though we were provided with a robe kindly) at rather unfriendly prices. While we can appreciate that tap water is safe to drink, as we do drink it regularly, it is a bit odd to assume people will be happy to use the bathroom. If the concern is for single use plastic, some kid of self-refill station for the guests would easily address that. Our in-room phone did not work and though we were informed it would be replaced, it wasn’t - which was an inconvenience at times when trying to reach concierge for any questions. The rooms did also feel much smaller than they seem in the pictures but it wasn’t personally an issue for us. The lighting is quite poor though so it can be an issue anyone needing it for getting some work done or putting makeup on etc. Lastly, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations so some rooms like ours have no views at all due to the scaffolding but we had expected it while booking.
Overall, this hotel is great for travellers who need a clean and comfortable place that’s also very well-located and don’t need much else from their stay.

SSuSie-THGood location, the hotel located near highlight spot of Edinburgh. The reception staff were very friendly and upgraded my room. I received a spacious room that was fully equipped, with both a heater and air conditioning, making my vacation absolutely perfect. I will definitely return again.

GGuest UserThe room was quite small, making it a bit tricky to fully open our luggage. However, everything else was great. We appreciated being able to open the windows for ventilation. The location is superb, with excellent transport links and plenty of convenient dining and shopping options nearby. It's also very close to the Royal Mile and the castle. The breakfast was a standard English fare, but it was certainly substantial and kept us full.

GGuest UserMy stay at Four Points by Sheraton Edinburgh has been overall very satisfactory. The location can be quite tricky but I did not mind the walk to Princes Street which is about 10 minutes. The amenities provided were good and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The cleaning staff did a good job but since it is a rug flooring, I found that nails from previous guests were still on the flooring which indicated it needed a proper cleaning process.
The check-out time of the hotel (11 a.m.) does not coincide with that on the site (12 00) but it was not an issue since the staff let us keep the room until 11 30 a.m.
GGuest UserThe room was much better than expected, clean and comfortable. Self-service check-in and check-out were quick and convenient. If you don't know how to use it, you can call and ask for patient guidance. If you don't know how to use the access control, you can ask the staff. The location is far from the city center and various attractions, about 30 minutes walk, but you can take the bus.
In summary, it is still a good choice. After all, hotels in Edinburgh are crazy expensive. I will stay in this hotel again.
