GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is good, and the reception staff were generally polite and helpful. However, several serious issues made this stay disappointing.
I was travelling with my mother and we had two identical rooms, but the service quality was clearly inconsistent. In her room there were no bathrobes, and even after housekeeping basic amenities like a new toothbrush were not replenished.
Another major issue was the strong and constant sewage smell coming from the shower cabin. It was unpleasant and persistent. On top of that, the water pressure was extremely weak, making showering uncomfortable.
The most serious problem was that 2,000 THB went missing from my room. I did not make a scene or file a formal complaint, but when I mentioned it at the reception, the reaction made it clear that they did not believe me. I know exactly how much money I had, and I did not misplace it.
Because of these issues, especially the hygiene problems and lack of trust, I will definitely not stay at this hotel again, despite its location.

GGuest UserThe hotel is well located in the heat of the walking street, friendly staff and clean rooms. I was just concerned that the room I was given didn’t have a wardrobe, when I spoke to the owner who was very nice and helpful she upgraded me for free to a bigger room.
I will definitely visit again soon, thanks for the perfect stay🫰

GGuest UserWe originally booked 3 nights at Tawaen Beach Resort and ended up extending for another 3 nights — and honestly, that says everything.
This is not our first stay. We were here six months ago, stayed in the same resort, and deliberately came back again. Consistency matters, and Tawaen Beach Resort delivers it every single time.
The staff are outstanding — professional, genuinely kind, attentive, and always accommodating. You feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of from the moment you arrive.
The food and coffee pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to neighboring resorts where prices feel exaggerated and borderline absurd. Here, you actually feel you’re getting value without being taken advantage of.
Cleanliness deserves special mention. The hygiene standards are truly top-tier resort level — rooms, lobby, common areas — everything is spotless and well maintained. This is something many resorts on the island fail at, even if they look nice on the outside.
Location? Simply unbeatable.
You step out of the resort and within seconds, you’re standing in front of a magical turquoise-blue sea and perfectly clean, soft white sand — genuinely one of the best beach fronts in Koh Larn.
They have beach lounges and chairs where you can relax all day, and the beach staff constantly adjust the umbrellas as the sun moves — a small detail that makes a huge difference. Service is attentive without being intrusive.
What truly impressed us:
Over the past few weeks, we met multiple couples (not one, not two — FOUR) who stayed at nearby resorts and had nightmare experiences — poor hygiene, bad rooms, disappointing service. After visiting our room, lobby, and seeing the standards at Tawaen Beach Resort, they immediately canceled their bookings and rebooked here.
That alone speaks volumes.
We live just outside Pattaya and come to Koh Larn almost every month. One thing is absolutely certain:
We will never stay anywhere else. Ever.
The pricing is very fair, especially compared to the nonsense prices next door that don’t deliver even half the quality.
Try this place once — and you’re hooked for life.

PPaul and AmandaWe stayed a week at I-Rovers in a superior 2nd floor room facing the bar street with a balcony.
Pros: The breakfast was great and cheap. Actually, all the food and drinks were very good and affordable.
The service was excellent. I-Rovers has a large staff so service is fast and the owner, Steve, is easy going and accommodating.
I-Rovers is a sports bar which has multiple large screen tvs with different sports/events and two dart boards and a pool table.
The room was very spacious with a large fridge and the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were harder than I prefer.
The A/C worked great and the tv had movie and sports channels.
The shower was hot and had good water pressure.
Cons: If you are looking for a long night out on bar street, this location is perfect. But if you want to go to bed early, you really need earplugs. The music from the street can be heard until 3 AM every night. The hotel is in the heart of a loud and promiscuous area. Also, some amenities in the room could use an update.
We enjoyed our time at I-Rovers and would stay here again, but for only for a couple of days.

YyuioThe location is about halfway between Pattaya and Jomtien. You can get to either, but it's difficult to get to either.
I stayed the night before in preparation for a bus ride the next day, and the bus terminal is about a 10-minute walk away.
The rooms are nice and spacious, so it might be a good place to relax for a long stay.

RReal ReviewsI can't say enough good things about the OYO Nakorn.
I needed to leave the hotel in a rush very quickly due to an emergency issue, leaving a lot of my possessions behind, some quite valuable which I didn't realise including my camera and some expensive shirts. Instead of those items disappearing as you can assume they may well have done in other places, my things were packed away and kindly forwarded when I got back in touch a few days later.
I'm very thankful to the hotel for doing this for me.
Regarding some other reviews I've seen on here, I stayed at this hotel for over a month, so I think I can give good opinion.
- Staff were always very friendly whatever time I was back and forth (sometimes very late/early). If other people had problems maybe their own attitude?
- I often had friends (1 per time) call around each day, no issues, comments or complaints.
- Cleaning can be daily if you ask for it, but the cleaning approach is ”ask for it if you want it”, and I have no problem with this, every other day is fine for me, towels swapped daily. Just a case of going out to ask for a swap when you hear the team going around. I don't like my room cleaned every day.
- I did get the odd cockroach in my room but cockroaches are not harmful, I would just capture it and let it out. I didn't get the idea that the place was ”infested” like some guy said. I think that's an exaggeration.
- Not the hotels fault, the road that goes from the hotel to the next main road (called 3rd Road) does not have a pavement. So yes you do need to be a little careful when walking to the bars. But the hotel has its own car park, restaurant and driveway, so it cannot be a hotel complaint really. Not something they are in control of.
For me the price vs quality ratio is good and I would stay again for sure.

SSrdan B.It was my first stay at this hotel. I decided to book based on the photos on their page. I asked for a room with a balcony but initially got a room without a window. The room was full of dust, the AC wasn't working and TV screen was fully covered in dust, the remote didn't have batteries. Not to mention there was no mini fridge nor trash bin. In toilet there was no soap, shampoo, toilet paper, nor a small towel for the feet.
Upon my request we got a different room. This room was much better. Although it had dust behind the bed and one bed light and one outlet wasn't working and there was no TV remote, this room had a window next to the bed and in the toilet, a mini fridge, AC was working as well as the remote. A few things were still lacking like a small towel and a trash bin. The liquid soap and shampoo together with toilet paper we got upon my request because it wasn't in the room when we entered.
Even though I booked for two nights I decided to stay one night. There was noise from Big C around 7-8PM from some kind of outdoor aerobic exercise.
Also to mention the positive things. The girl at the reception was polite and helpful. Although I don't know why she didn't give us the second room first, she managed to make our stay pleasant. The location is close to Big C and the bus station. There is a baht bus waiting a few minutes to take you to the beach.
Since we stayed for one night only, I asked for a refund for the second night which the staff approved.
It seems that there's no housekeeping. The rooms are dusty and many amenities are missing.
The price and location is good and I'm sure with regular maintenance this would be a good hotel to stay. Unfortunately I'm not sure I will come to this place again if they don't improve the service.

GGuest UserThe hotel is good, it was clean, the air conditioning and TV (there is a smart TV) are new, the Wi-Fi in the room is normal, there is a smoking area, the room also has a kettle and a refrigerator, two bottles of water and coffee are given per day, in general everything is great, the price is also nice.
