AAnonymous UserThis was within our price range. There’s other stays within too but parking is free (at your own risk), I felt like it was in a pretty safe area but shouldn’t leave belongings in your car. There’s a lot of fast food to offer nearby (chick fil a, in n out, etc). I also liked that it was close to the freeway. For where we wanted to go, 15-20 drive to rowland heights, 30 to Irvine wasn’t bad. And it came with free breakfast. Check in was fairly easy (they do charge card for deposit, $100). We did check in at midnight too though so… Stayed on the first floor, twin bed. I had a good sleep. We got the ADA bathroom so there was a lot of space. The shower head had a hole in it tho. It’s not squeaky clean but good enough. Toilet wasn’t dirty at least. Would suggest bringing slippers to shower with though. I wish I had slippers to shower in. Some thing I would like to complain about: -it was hot but AC blows out strong wind and blows the curtains up a lot. fan is actually really loud. No option to turn fan down. Since it was hot, we kept it on. -no extra outlet for plugs for charging near by the beds or I might have been blind -housekeeping didn’t make our beds but It didn’t bother us too much as we were leaving the next day anyways Overall, I would come back here.

GGuest UserThe hotel is positioned in a convenient spot of Hermosa beach, 3 minutes drive to the beach and close to many restaurants, plenty of options of fast foods, CVS, Walgreens, Targets and While food in case you prefer to grab some snack to spend the day at the beach. The personnel was super friendly and always available to meet our needs: the rooms were very spacious and we needed an additional roller bed, they brought right away for a minimum additional daily charge. Parking was included , number of parking spots adequate, sometime difficult to park but due to the fact that some guest was parking not very well, it required a couple of additional maneuvers but nothing impossible. At Breakfast we found a good variety of food, I would have loved some more fruits (bananas and apples only), only room for improvement the number of seats: we had to consume our breakfast on the sofa in the reception a couple of time but it wasn’t terrible and we took it easy not trying to avoid the crowded hours, manageable. In conclusion a perfect base to explore the coast and LA (30-40 minutes drive to Hollywood), safe place with all comfort for a family trip. Our rooms were facing the main road and they were a little noisy very early in the morning and until late at night, but we were so tired for the day that we didn’t pay too much attention, just ask for rooms not facing the street in case.

XXueyingjingI booked this hotel for a layover in Los Angeles. They offer a free airport shuttle, but be aware: there are two Hilton Garden Inns near the airport. For *this* one, you need to call the hotel for a pickup, whereas the other one doesn't require a call. After collecting your luggage, head to the 'hotel parking' area and look for the red sign. Call the hotel, tell them which terminal you're at, and provide your name and phone number. They'll send a car to pick you up within 15-30 minutes. (Initially, we got on a Hilton Garden Inn shuttle at the red sign, only to find out it wasn't the correct hotel when we arrived!) Bottled water in the room costs extra, but there's complimentary iced water available in the lobby. There's also a small convenience store. Rooms don't come with toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers. About a 10-minute walk away, there's a commercial area with an In-N-Out Burger and a 7-Eleven. Remember to book in advance, as prices tend to increase closer to the date.

GGuest UserMy wife and I visited Catalina Island for our 28th anniversary — our first time back since before we were married in 1997. We chose the Catalina Canyon Inn specifically for the pool, jacuzzi, on-site restaurant, and shuttle service. Their website is very nice and seemed like a perfect match for the occasion. Unfortunately, very little matched what was advertised. Shuttle: The shuttle was not waiting at the Catalina Express port when we arrived on the last ferry Saturday evening which was unexpected. Four of us were left waiting in the dark for about 20 minutes until the other couple called the hotel. The driver was friendly and apologized, but this set the tone for the weekend. The shuttle was consistently unreliable throughout our stay. They tell you to call the driver directly, but he often didn't answer. You'd end up having to call the hotel instead, and the shuttle only seemed to come after someone went inside and told the front desk in person. At one point we waited 45 minutes. Some guests got frustrated and just decided to walk, but the hotel sits at the top of a steep hill — not a realistic option, especially for older guests like us. Their website suggests the shuttle runs regularly, but that was far from our experience. Restaurant: We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 PM Saturday and were turned away, even though their website says they're open until 8:00 PM. We had to rush down the hill to find dinner to-go in town before the shuttle stopped running at 8:45. It was a shame we didn't even have time to stay and eat on our anniversary or face having to trek up that hill. The next morning I mentioned this to the restaurant owner, who insisted they closed at 8:00 and that she was there. She then told us the restaurant closes at 2:00 PM on Sundays — so dinner there that night wasn't an option either. She was very friendly though I must say. On Monday we finally had breakfast before checkout. The food was mediocre and didn't match the glowing reviews at all. The prices were also odd — $12 for mozzarella sticks, $20 for nachos, but only $11 for pulled pork sliders, which you'd expect to be the pricier item. The pricing just didn't add up. While we were there, another couple was turned away at 1:30 PM because the restaurant closes from 2–4 on Mondays. We could feel their frustration. Jacuzzi: The jacuzzi we were looking forward to was covered up and converted into a gazebo with chairs. At first we couldn't find it but yea. No mention of this on the website. Room issues: The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The front desk told us we can mention it to housekeeping, who didn't come until after 5:00 PM. We got the soap and a couple fresh towels. The towels themselves were thin and didn't dry well overnight so fresh ones were sorely needed to get at least one shower in with soap before we had to leave the next day. The TV didn't work at all, and the microwave was unplugged — though I was able to fix that myself. The hotel also doesn't offer complimentary coffee, which is standard at most hotels we've stayed at for half the price. The good: The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the balcony was a nice touch. The room was quiet. Bottom line: The website gives a very different impression than what you actually get. Between the unreliable shuttle, limited and unpredictable restaurant hours, missing amenities, thin towels, and no coffee, this was not the anniversary experience we hoped for. I'd recommend staying somewhere closer to downtown so you're not dependent on a shuttle and stuck with limited options. I think we need to redo our anniversary. It was a miss for sure.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is very close to the airport, with plenty of convenient shuttle services. The room was clean and quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. There's a large supermarket, a burger joint, Starbucks, and convenience stores nearby, making it perfect for guests transferring flights the next day. The breakfast was Western style and a bit monotonous, but to my surprise, the restaurant had a hot water dispenser. This was very convenient for making tea or instant noodles if you're not a fan of Western food.

LLyn R.Awesome front desk service and staff! Just stayed over for the weekend to attend a Dodgers game. Picked this hotel because other closer hotels had a $40-$60 per night parking fee, while this one was reasonably priced at $15 per night I believe. I wasn’t expecting a brand new hotel, and it was really nice. Only junk thing was our in room fridge was either broken or not plugged in so I had to throw away a cup of fruit but not a big deal. Will definitely be staying here every time I come to town for a game.

GGuest UserThe hotel is about 27 kilometers from Los Angeles Airport, a taxi ride of less than half an hour. It seems to be a Chinese-owned hotel, and check-out is at 12 PM. Breakfast is served until 10 AM. The surrounding area is convenient with a Target supermarket, McDonald's, Panda Express, and Ross, making shopping easy. The room facilities are a bit old, but it's clean. The value for money is decent.

Aamylee66The best part was the location. It was next to a mall, making it convenient for shopping and dining, and it was also close to the airport, which was convenient. Fans could be heard outside, but not enough to disturb sleep. Car noise was minimal. Parking is available, but it's convenient and spacious, allowing for stress-free entry and exit. This is a great hotel I stay at every time I visit LA. I highly recommend it.

TTaoshengyijiuThe hotel is located in an area where Chinese people are concentrated, and there are many Chinese restaurants nearby. If you drive here, you need to tell the waiter at the front desk that the parking fee is $12 a day, and you can enter and exit the parking lot by swiping your room card, which is very convenient. The breakfast is not bad, you can eat in the restaurant, or you can take a large plate back to the room to eat.
