GGuest UserThe room was very clean and the front desk staff, especially the ladies, were really nice. The whole place felt very safe, and it was conveniently located without being noisy. I definitely recommend staying here. I was very satisfied with the overall service attitude of the hotel and met many kind employees.

YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars; First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review. The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-) Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance. 1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process. 2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance. Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

WWaynehaoqiArrived in LA in the early hours, originally planned to spend the night at the airport, but couldn't bear it and booked the Sheraton Gateway. It's very close to the airport and offers a free shuttle bus service. Just head to the 1st floor from the airport, look for the 'Hotel Shuttles' sign, and hop on the shuttle with the Sheraton logo. It goes directly to the hotel. They pick up from every terminal! The room was quite neat and clean! Check-in at 2 AM and check-out around noon went smoothly! I took the hotel shuttle back to the airport, then the airport's 'Shuttles M' line to the Metro transit center to catch the subway to downtown LA, which was quite convenient.

LLiMichaelVery close to the airport, just a few minutes' drive. The room was clean and the facilities were new. There's a shared parking lot with several other hotels nearby, plenty of spaces, so parking was convenient. It's a great place to stay if you have an early morning flight.

GGuest UserThe hotel is about 27 kilometers from Los Angeles Airport, a taxi ride of less than half an hour. It seems to be a Chinese-owned hotel, and check-out is at 12 PM. Breakfast is served until 10 AM. The surrounding area is convenient with a Target supermarket, McDonald's, Panda Express, and Ross, making shopping easy. The room facilities are a bit old, but it's clean. The value for money is decent.

GGuest UserI have to say, I'm really impressed with this hotel's environment and service. The decor is quite new and clean (looks like it's been recently renovated), and the soundproofing is relatively good. You can hear planes passing by, but it's not too loud, which is a significant improvement compared to other similarly priced hotels I've stayed at in the US. They offer a 24-hour airport shuttle that runs every 10-15 minutes, with a bus tracker, and convenient waiting areas at both the airport and the hotel. The ride from the airport to the hotel is about 8-10 minutes. What truly stood out was their thoughtful provision of three different types of water in the lobby, especially since most hotels don't provide any water at all. If you're not planning on frequent trips into the city center, this is an excellent choice. Plus, there are several car rental services within a 5-minute walk of the hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe location is pretty good; it's not the closest to the airport, but still acceptable. You can wait for the hotel shuttle at the red sign near the baggage claim on the second floor of the airport. It runs every half hour. Important: You need to wave at the bus for it to stop! The shuttle drivers are very friendly and nice! Thumbs up! 👍 The hotel facilities are just average, and the front desk service is also mediocre, but the housekeeping staff are quite friendly. The water pressure in the shower and at the sink is quite low, which might be due to California's water conservation efforts. The price is among the lower ones compared to other hotels in the area, but they charge extra if you check in before the official time. I recommend confirming this with the hotel in advance.

GGuest UserThis is our second time staying at this Holiday Inn. Before checking in, due to our travel plans, we needed to store our luggage at the hotel for several days. We had inquired with nearby hotels but didn't get clear information. Today, with the help of Kevin at the front desk, we paid $100 to store three pieces of luggage for five days. This might be due to different policies, as we're used to the service in our home country. Nevertheless, we're very grateful for his help in checking and ultimately agreeing to store our luggage. The breakfast, as always, is excellent. We'll be staying at the Holiday Inn again when we return to Los Angeles in a couple of days.

GGuest UserThis hotel was everything I expected! It's on par with the star-rated Hyatt hotels in China. Many brand-name hotels in the US have mediocre facilities and service, but in China, they're transformed into luxurious five-star hotels with unparalleled splendor. When I first arrived in the US, I had high expectations for hotels of the same brand, so it's inevitable that there's a slight disappointment. However, the Hyatt is first-rate! At check-in, we were greeted with a welcome champagne and complimentary drinks, available at the first-floor restaurant and rooftop bar. The hotel's design, decor, and dining experience exceeded my expectations! Breakfast was served in the rooftop open-air restaurant. The weather was beautiful and sunny when we checked in, and we could see the Hollywood sign in the distance. It was incredibly relaxing, giving us a truly relaxing, vacation-like feel. The king room we booked surprisingly came with a patio with furnished sofa chairs, perfect for enjoying a drink and chatting with family. From check-in to departure, the hotel staff provided a warm welcome every moment. The only downside is that the bustling West Hollywood district is just outside, and you could still hear the clamor of various parties outside until midnight, only settling down later in the evening. But no hotel is perfect. The hotel's strengths outweighed its weaknesses, and the noise wasn't the hotel's fault. I would choose this hotel again.

Tt_m_yThe location is fantastic, with direct access to the D line. K-town also offers plenty of great food and shopping. It's a converted detached building, and the front yard is beautifully decorated. Inside, there's a lot of vintage decor, making it feel like it used to be an office, complete with a piano. I booked the room hoping for a tall arched window but it didn't have one. However, the overall facilities are clean, and the bed outlets and lighting are well-thought-out and convenient. The front desk staff are very welcoming.
